The little ghost who was a quilt loves going outside in winter, but his friends, who are thin sheets, prefer to stay indoors. And that's why they have never seen the world decorated with festive evergreens and twinkling lights. The ghost quilt really wants to share this holiday magic with his friends, but he can't think of a way to make it fun for his friends to go out. So instead, he finds a way to bring the holidays to them.
I loved the first ghost quilt book, and I wasn't sure anything could top it, but this book is at least as adorable and just as cozy. The illustrations are a lovely blend of soft and spooky, and the text is easy to read with a lot of lovely details. I smiled as I read the ending, and I'm feeling inspired about my own holiday decorating for next year.
A Huge thank you to Tundra Books and NetGalley for this ARC. All opinions are my own.

This is a delightful follow-up book to The Little Ghost Who Was a Ghost. It takes place during the winter and with our little quilt ghost enjoying the cold weather and the seasonal lighting all hung up. It has sweet moments of friendship, fun interpretations of the winter season, and the illustrations bring a sense of coziness.

Thank you NetGalley and Tundra Book Group for this arc!
5/5 cozy stars, again!
This is a sweet holiday story featuring the Little Ghost Quilt and their friends making the holiday season perfect the way they can! This was so sweet, I loved it, the story and the art were again so sweet and lovely! Fantastic 💜

Little ghosts second adventure is just as cute as the first and I love that we went back to where the story took place in the first book. The illustrations are stunning and the story is beautiful.

If you liked the original, I think you will like this. It is nice seeing the Little Ghost in more of a community. While it clearly is discussing Christmas, it isn't overly Christmas if you want something more open to just winter. The art style keeps the muted style with pops of color. I do prefer the original, but I think this one would appeal to students just as much.

The Little Ghost Quilt's Winter Surprise is another adorable read for children. I would highly advise ever parent to pick this little book up, if anything for the beautiful art in the drawings as well as the cute story that accompanied it.
I don't even have children, and I was excited to receive an arc of this. Highly recommend to everyone, even adults!
I would like to thank Netgalley and the publisher for the advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest review.

This charming story masterfully employs onomatopoeia and intentional wordplay, adding a whimsical and engaging rhythm to the narrative. The unexpected juxtaposition of ghosts and Christmas creates a unique and enchanting twist, blending the supernatural with the warmth of the holiday season. The deliberate use of color in select illustrations enhances the visual storytelling, drawing readers deeper into the world of the book. At its heart, this is a sweet and heartfelt tale of friendship, offering warmth and light amid the dark and cold of winter.

This was the perfect book to perfectly blend the coziness of fall with they joy of winter / Christmas. I love the theme of friendship and also the underlying theme that teaches children that it is OK to be different. The sheet ghosts didn't treat the quilt ghost any different than they did each other. The illustrations were delightful and I felt that the color pallete lent a great support to the parts of the story thaycwere being focused on.

I love these first Little Ghost Quilt book and this one is such a sweet addition to that story canon. I loved Ghost Quilt discovering the joy of winter and Christmas decorations as he goes out of his way to make winter more enjoyable for his friends. Just precious.

The little ghost quilt's winter surprise is such a darling little story. I read the first book a few years ago to preview it for a gift. I absolutely loved it and knew I had to read the sequel immediately. It does not disappoint. The artwork is beautiful and magical. It sets this story apart from other children's story books. And it's honestly what drew me to this series. I love the aesthetics and how cute the little ghost quilt is. The character has such a big heart and shows kindness to others. It teaches children about Christmas and will be a wonderful addition to a any Christmas story book collection!
**Thank you netgalley for an advanced early reading ebook.

Little Ghost Quilt’s sheet is different than his friends, it’s made from a quilt. The quilted sheet allows Little Ghost to enjoy his favorite pastime of flying outside during winter. The only thing that would make this pastime better for him is if his friends could participate. However, his friends have just sheets to cover them, not a quilt, and it is just too cold. As Little Ghost flits about in the snow, he flies over to the human neighborhood and discovers the humans participating in cheery holiday celebrations. He makes the decision to create an atmosphere patterned after the humans for his friends in their home.
As someone who is a little merry, a little scary herself, this was such a fun read. It reminded me of A Nightmare Before Christmas, which is one of my favorite Disney movies. The Little Ghost Quilt’s Winter Surprise is such a cute little book. I can’t wait for it to be published so I can purchase one for my niece. I think she’ll also enjoy the cute little “boo” puns and the blend of Christmas and Halloween in this sweet little holiday book.

A very fun and cozy read for winter! The illustrations in this book are wonderful, I love how expressive the ghosts looked. The red and green Christmas colours highlighted throughout the story were beautiful. The ghost puns were also a nice touch!

This is a delightful story and a lovely continuation of the Ghost Quilt series. I love the illustrations and message of the story. I also read it with my child who loves ghosts and spooky books. Big hit and we hope for more in the series.

Ollie and I read this and enjoyed it!! It was the cutest story. Anything with ghosts is a huge hit with my kid anyways. I loved the fact that this adorable ghost is "special" with a thicker cover that let's him enjoy winter. He keeps thinking about his friends and does what he can to share the love. It was adorable and very sweet! It was the perfect blend of Halloween and Christmas!
I am not sure if it's the actual arc version only, but some of the font blended in with the darker backgrounds and made it hard to read. I hope it's just the arc version and not like that in the finished copy! Regardless, we will be buying this one to add to our collection when it comes out!
Many thanks to Tundra Books and Netgalley for an e-ARC. All thoughts an opinions are my own.

If you are like me and love Halloween, this is the perfect Christmas book for you. My kids are not over Halloween when we are hitting winter and Christmas, so this is such a cute book to read. It has a great message and beautiful art work.
I took off a star because some pages were too dark to read. I had a digital ARC, so perhaps the coloring will be a little different in print.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a digital ARC. This did not impact my review in any way. I loved the book, but found some font too dark on the page.

Black and white illustrations brought a sense of realism to the bitterly coldness and the harsh winds that were roaring through the quilted ghost’s land. The words of the author and the images of the illustrator meshed perfectly. So when joy entered the town and its’ surroundings, red and green colors appeared in the images.
A great book for all to enjoy the winter season with its’ many holiday surprises. I especially liked the Victorian lady’s boots hanging on the ghosts’ fireplace.
Thanks NetGalley and the publisher Tundra Books for providing me an eARC to review.

This was such a cute book! If you read The Little Ghost Who Was A Quilt then you are sure to love this one. Follow along with the little ghost quilt as he brings winter fun to his friends.

Even a little ghost needs something to look forward to during the cold long winter months; especially after Halloween has passed. The story is a simple expansion on the previous book. The quilted ghost has friends and is trying to do something nice and thoughtful for them. It would've been nice if they were trying to do something nice and thoughtful for him.
Byron Eggenschwiler has really outdone himself. These illustrations are gorgeous. I think it could've been quite successful as a wordless picture book. My three year old very much enjoyed it.
I would recommend this book to those who enjoy the Fan brothers.

I was so happy to have access to this #ARC from #NetGalley. I love the original story of The Little Ghost Quilt and this one is just as magical. Like other timeless book characters, this sweet little ghost quilt will live on for years and years with these incredible stories.

So this is a cute little book. I believe this is a series of books and the concept of a ghost made of a quilt is very sweet. Not a ton of plot or stakes, but sometimes you just need a nice little book with good art. I have no complaints here, really.
