When I requested this book I was in the mood for a summer read and that's exactly what I got!
This gave me all the vibes I was after. I wish I was reading it on a beach or by a pool but I was instead reading it in a rainy conservatory.
Hope and Adam have been a couple for years but on board Serendipity (the yacht) there are strict rules that you can't date a fellow crew member so they have to secretly hide their relationship from everyone. This won't be easy when newcomer Berry is thrown into the mix to stir up jealousy.
This book flows wonderfully and is really easy to get engrossed in. It's fast paced just like the show Below Deck which is a guilty pleasure of mine.
Adam isn't a very likeable character from the start and he didn't really grow on me throughout. Hope however has a special place in my heart. You really see her open up and look deep within herself and come to some realisations of what she wants.
4 out of 5 stars.
Thank you to Insta Book Tours, Hot Key books and the author for sending me this copy to read as part of the blog tour.

If you love Emily Henry then you’re going to love this!! Such an easy, perfect summer read that gives alllllll the steamy vibes! Highly recommend, especially if you’re on a holiday boat!

I loved this book so much, particularly because of my love for below deck! It felt a bit like reading an episode of it! This would be the absolute perfect summer holiday read on a girls trip 😍

I was really drawn to this book due to the cover and the summer beach read vibes it gave off,
I felt this was a really fast paced book, at times I find myself having to stop reading to catch up with what was going on as it felt very jumpy from one part to another. There was a lack of character development in this book, I did feel at times we were missing parts to get to know the characters better.
It really did give below deck vibes so if you love the show you will likely enjoy this book.
I did love the parts of self-discovery and the main character exploring their sexuality.
I would recommend this if you are looking for a nice quick summer read to make you want to hop in the next yacht.
Thank you netgalley for a copy of this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This would make a great holiday/beach read. Quick and easy to read with some good spice. The characters aren’t overly complex and I couldn’t quite take to Adam, but it’s good light palette cleanser

this book definitely had below deck vibes. but think the ads where you get to see all the good highlight parts and this book has that for you. the pacing and plot was from start to finish fast paced vibrant and a get goer of a book.
things kicked off then settled. steam happened then settled. adventure awaits but was as rocky as the sea can be itself.
this would be a fun bead or holiday read. i think you could smile and chuckle along nicely sat by the pool.
i found my old mind being a bit cynical of some of the things that went on. but that IS just me. i still really enjoyed this.
i think this author could be going places. her words and way of laying things out seem to be finding their feet nicely and she has such a bright tone about how she sets the pace.

A quick, easy, fun and steamy read that made me want to be reading it on a boat so much. Story line was good, characters were likeable, I enjoyed my time with it

A fun sexy sizzling romance through the tropics, this novel is perfect to read by the pool with a cocktail in hand!

Getting a bit behind on some of my arcs so picked up this book publishing in June hoping for a fun summery read !! Kinda weird being the first goodreads reviewer for it hahaha
Going into this book, I initially had high hopes - with references to Emily Henry and Below Deck in the synopsis how could I not ? But overall, I felt very unsatisfied and did not particularly enjoy it at all.
The biggest thing for me was the boring, undeveloped characters. Hope and Adam are meant to have been in a relationship for many years before this summer yet they have no chemistry at all and honestly read like they've just met. Adam's whole character was very unlikable for me throughout this book even from the start - and Hope was not much better. All the characters interactions were just so dialogue heavy it sometimes felt more like I'm reading a tv show transcript rather than a book.
The comparison to Below Deck was very true and if you enjoy the show you'll probably find this an okay read. For me, I feel like the author was trying to replicate the pacing of the show which doesn't really work so much in a small amount of pages - the dramas and conflicts are rushed over so quickly it doesn't really give the reader much time to process them. Also with so many characters coming and going it's very easy to not get attached to this cast.
Also justice for Berry I feel like her character was just screwed over and brought into Adam and Hope's train wreck relationship. From the way this ended, I feel like the author could be setting up for a series ? I probably won't be continuing it but please give Berry something better than this lol
Thank you to Bonnier Books UK, Hot Key Books and NetGalley for this arc !!
*All opinions are my own !!*

This is literally the perfect summer read! Full of sizzling hot romance and spicy scenes. All the stunning holiday locations that featured sounded just beautiful. A really fun and easy to read book. Loved it.
