Sweet Little Lies is the second book I've read from Cupps, so I knew what to expect from her writing style.

It took me a while for me to become fully invested in the plot, but the further it unfolded it had me hooked and I found myself reading at breakneck speed to the big reveal to see if my theories were right...I wasn't!

The book is split into parts and narrated from multiple POV. Is has some great misleading twists and a cast of characters that I found myself questioning throughout; could I really rely on their narrative?

Suspense and tension fueled, Sweet Little Lies will have you scraping your jaw off the floor.

Sweet Little Lies starts slowly and rambles a bit, but it kept my interest enough to keep me going. The story unfolds nicely, and then came the shocker at the end. My eyes almost fell right out of their sockets.

I very much enjoyed Reese, the main character. She was strong enough to strive for what's right and relatable in her failures. I'm sure all of us know someone who shuts down any discussion of uncomfortable topics. I love that this wasn’t a story that relied on a trivial misunderstanding to drive the plot forward. I don't know that I would have made different decisions from Reese's, and her conflicting emotions and choices on who to trust felt completely believable.

Her fiance, Tucker, I didn't like much—really, at all. Something was just not right about him. You know that guy you don't really know, who seems fine—good, really—but whom you wouldn't encourage your cousin to date, let alone marry? He's that guy.

Although she took up relatively little space, I had much sympathy for Charlotte, Tucker's ex-fiancee, even though she was supposed to be a villain. Life seriously let her down.

Despite the book’s rambling moments and occasionally unrefined dialogue, this book does exactly what it's supposed to. Leah Cupps' storytelling is masterful. I still can't believe what I just read.

Sweet little lies by Leah Cupps.
This was a good read. I did like the cover and blurb of this book. This is the 2nd book i've read by this author. Lots of twists and turns. It took me a while to get into this book but once I did I couldn't put it down. I wasn't sure how I felt about Tucker. I didn't trust him. Twisty and gripping. What a double twist. Just when I thought I knew everything I was wrong. I would recommend this book.

Blurb.
The first cut is the deepest.

When the charming and wealthy Tucker walks into Reese’s bakery shop, it’s not long before their whirlwind romance leads to an engagement. It seems all her dreams are about to come true.

Until the chilling threats begin.

As Reese’s big day approaches, she receives a series of anonymous messages demanding that she call off the wedding…or face the consequences.

While the threats mount and sinister events unfold, Reese becomes obsessed with the mystery of Tucker’s past.

What happened to his ex-fiancée, Charlotte, who mysteriously vanished into thin air one year earlier, leaving him alone at the altar? Has she returned to claim her man? Or is Reese falling victim to her own imagination?

Then, when her bakery is broken into just days before the wedding, Reese realises this is no fantasy - she’s in real danger.

Who is so desperate to stop her and Tucker from getting married?

Can she uncover the truth before time runs out? Or will the happiest day of her life be her last?

Thank you Net Gallery for the book. It was very enjoyable, very entertaining, lots of twists and turns. I loved the characters. The only bad thing I have to say about this book is that it kept me reading way past midnight, I couldn't put it down! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Different to my usual sort of books! I loved the initial scene setting before the thriller aspects came in. A lovely easy read over a few evenings!

Thank you to NetGalley for the advanced copy of Sweet Little Lies – the stunning psychological thriller perfect for fans of Freida McFadden, John Marrs, Kiersten Modglin.

Reese is a small-town baker engaged to Tucker, the most eligible bachelor in town. But she is receiving strange messages to cancel the wedding or else. Good plot twist.

I could not put this book down! Incredible read with a great plot and a twist I definitely did not see coming!

This book was okay, felt a little more chick lit than thriller but it's a nice easy read.

Some thing(s) I liked:
✅The setting of Somerville.
✅So glad Reese tells/ asks Tucker about the cryptic messages she gets. Usually in these thrillers the FMC is all like"omg I trust my husband/ boyfriend/ fiance totally but I can't tell him ANYTHING about this because of reasons that make no sense"

Some thing(s), not so much:
⭕It was a little relative.
⭕Too many adverbs made the writing a little clunky
⭕how stupid do you have to be to have a "friendship" with the ex you cheated on with your current fiance with? Surely even if he's the nicest guy in the world, he would still be hurt and angry about what you did to him.
⭕Also, boohoo, the mother of my fiance's ex (who disappeared/left under mysterious circumstances) won't come out and tell everyone her daughter is fine so I don't look like a bitch for getting with him a few weeks after she went missing/ left. Nah mate, suck it up and accept, he may not have cheated on her with you, but you're still a pretty terrible person.

Sweet Little Lies, is a good read that will keep you entertained for the entire book, I love the title the story is as sweet as deadly.

The characters have too many flaws that will make some of them relatable; the suspense is on point.... a turned-page story. The twisty end you won't see coming is probably the best part of the entire story. This is not a love match...but who has the better face mask...

This was a strong psychological thriller and had that feel that I was looking for and enjoyed in the genre. I enjoyed how good Leah Cupps' characters were and worked with the overall feel of this universe. I was glad I got to read this and am excited to read more from Leah Cupps.

This was a pretty fun read! It had a fast pace, some mystery, and just enough suspense to keep you hooked. I couldn't put it down because I kept wanting to know what would happen next. The whole wedding drama added so much tension—I was honestly on the edge of my seat, hoping Reese would figure things out before walking down the aisle. Who's trying to stop the wedding, and why? Will Reese uncover the truth in time? A thrilling, fast-paced story!

good mystery of a bride to be and many weird messages and wanting her to call it off. Its told in reese's pov and charlotte pov . Its very interesting and kept me on my toes of the bad guy. I'm not a fan of her fiancé and previous boyfriend. Crazy things happened to the bakery.

The danger so close to getting married definitely made it more intense for me, I felt desperate to find out the truth before Reese walked down the aisle.

Reese has a bakery, and when Charlotte and Tucker walk in, she is immediately drawn to Tucker.
Charlotte jilts Tucker, and eventually Reese is planning her own wedding to him.
But someone is threatening her.

I read this in one sitting, although I did guess who was behind the mischief.
The book is truly unputdownable, and will keep the reader guessing.
There are many twists, and very unlikeable characters.

Thanks to Netgalley and Inkubator Books for the ARC.
