This is my first book I’ve red by Laura Person, but it won’t be the last. (I’ve already downloaded a few more) I really liked the sort of sci-fi aspect of the book, I guess I’d call it that. The ability for the min character to see into the future. So it’s not your average romance, which is great. The main characters are all likable which is always a plus. I really like the pace of the book, it takes place over several years. It’s definitely not your average love story, but that makes it all the more fun. I also think there is more to the story, and open to a sequel. Hint hint. All in all a wonderful book.

Oh Laura, you’ve done it again!! I was so invested in this story from start to finish. I wanted to read it as quickly as possible but when I got to the end I needed more.
I will be thinking about this book for a long time.

I enjoyed this book and story and wish the author all the best with this book
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the opportunity to read this book

Maddy has the unique ability of, as one reviewer put it, sexually-induced time travel! Each time she has sex with a man she sees her future with him 10 years into the future. Which would save a lot of people some grief and heartbreak if we all had that ability. Because all of these futures seem unhappy, Maddy has no interest in love, until she meets Oliver and the future she sees with him is more than she could hope for.
I thoroughly enjoyed the concept of this book, which is ultimately a love story but, with much more depth. If you're looking for a story that gives you all the answers at the end, this is not it. It leaves a few questions open-ended but, that's kind of the point of life isn't it? None of us knows the full story.
Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for an ARC!

This novel presents a unique and thought-provoking premise, following Maddy as she experiences time jumps and glimpses into possible futures. Her journey, particularly in navigating her chaotic love life and evolving career, offers an intriguing exploration of life’s unpredictability.
One of the book’s strongest aspects is its realistic portrayal of dreams and ambitions, such as Maddy’s transition from struggling actress to screenwriter and Henry’s unfulfilled football aspirations due to injury. However, the romance between Maddy and Oliver falls short, as the moral dilemma surrounding their relationship feels unsatisfying and underdeveloped.
Despite its creative concept, the novel’s brevity limits its ability to fully explore key themes and plot points. Unresolved elements, such as the significance of Isla’s name and Maddy’s visions involving her mother, leave gaps in the story.
Overall, this book is an ambitious and imaginative read that could have benefited from more depth.

Thank you to NetGalley and BoldWood Books for providing me with an ARC of this intriguing book!
The premise of this novel immediately captured my attention. The concept of Maddy’s time jumping and glimpses into potential futures was both unique and thought provoking. The story begins with a compelling hook, drawing readers into Maddy’s chaotic love life and her desperate search for happiness. However, as the narrative progressed, I found the middle sections less engaging, and by the conclusion, I was left feeling unsatisfied.
One of the novel’s key strengths lies in its exploration of life’s unpredictability. Maddy’s career journey, transitioning from a struggling freelance actress to a screenwriter, felt refreshingly authentic and relatable. The depiction of how dreams evolve over time - such as Henry’s unfulfilled football aspirations due to injury - added a layer of realism that was truly commendable.
The romance between Maddy and Oliver had great potential, but the moral dilemma of whether to break his heart now for the sake of a better future was disappointing. Oliver deserved honesty ... or at least a partner who truly valued him. Overall, their relationship development felt rushed, with key emotional moments left underexplored.
While the story had strong elements, it was hindered by its brevity. At only 275 pages, the novel struggled to adequately cover the complexity of its plot. Several aspects, such as the significance of Isla’s name and the visions involving Maddy’s mother, were not fully developed, leaving notable gaps in the narrative. These unresolved plot points diminished the impact of the otherwise engaging premise.
Overall, this book is a creative and ambitious story that could have greatly benefited from more depth and length. While I appreciated the exploration of Maddy’s career and her struggle to shape her future, the rushed pacing and unanswered questions made it difficult to fully connect with the characters and their journeys. Fans of speculative fiction and romance may enjoy this novel, but those seeking a more comprehensive narrative might find it lacking.
This book is currently available for preorder at major retailers and will be released on February 3, 2025!

This was a really strange concept for a storyline but it was well written. The characters were realistic even if the plot wasn’t. I loved the author’s previous book and I’m afraid this left me feeling a little disappointed.

I've read a few books by this author and have enjoyed them all. We meet Maddy who has a unique "gift" - when she has sex she gets a vision of her life ten years in the future. For years, this stops her from having a serious relationship as she doesn't like what she sees. When she meets Oliver, this changes and she feels that she could have a happy future with him.
I really liked Maddy's character and I found her "situation" interesting. The storyline flowed along well and I found myself caught up in Maddy's life really easily. Oliver, who she meets, was also a likeable character and I enjoyed the switching back and forth of the timelines to Maddy and Oliver's future. The author's writing really captures the ups and downs in Maddy's life and I found her storyline quite emotional at times. The other characters in the book were also likeable and her relationship with her best friend was heart-warming.
This was a lovely read with a completely unique storyline. It was full of emotion, sensitively written with a hint of light hearted humour throughout. Maddy's story had me gripped from the very beginning and once started I couldn't put it down. I'm loving this author's books more and more! Would recommend!

Laura Pearson has yet again turned the world upside down and inside out, making me consider things I never would have without her writing. What if I could see my future? Would I change it or would I do everything I could to keep it the same? Either way, this book is powerful in the ways that it will make you look at the world a little bit different and lead you on a journey of introspection.
Maddy Hart can see her future 10 years out every time she is intimate with anyone, and for the first time that anyone is her someone. But the future is not always the way we think it will be. What lengths will she go to change it, or to not change it.
Maddy as a character is hard to put a finger on for me, she is likable but also her own worst enemy at times. The introspection and journey this book takes you on is so worhtwhile and will have you thinking long after you finish. Even though there were tough topics on pregnancy, loss and child parlyzation, it was still such a hopeful and happy read. It went by so quick and was hard to put down,
The reasons that it was not rated higher were more personal than anything, I struggled with Maddy allowing her trips into the future to drive her life and let it control her. I would have been much happier if she would have taken control of her life, rather than work to fit her life to her visions.. She is certainly someone who lets life happen for her. I also struggled with some of the backstory with her brother being paralyzed, it was slightly unresolved how her family viewed his paralysis. But these are not reasons to not read this book and are more of a preference.
Overall, I loved how this story made me think in ways I haven't before. I have come to rely on Laura Pearson for life-altering or at least view-altering stories, and she didn't disappoint me with The Many Futures of Maddy Hart. I will always recommend this author's work, this book included.

I thought the concept was really intriguing and I liked the characters and felt they were written very believably albeit a little boring. I think the author's choice of the activity connected to time travel made me cringe a a little and took away from reading it a bit for me.

The Many Futures of Mandy Hart by Laura Pearson is a story of romantic fiction using magic realism.Maddy has short visions that take place ten years in the future. The visions cause her to to stay away from each man she is with until she meets the one she feels is the right one. but the visions intrude on her happiness with him also.I found the book rather predictable without much real character development or action.Thank you to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for allowing me to read this ARC for my unbiased review.

Maddy can see into the future, ten years into the future to be exact but it only happens when she's with a guy and you know....
If that wasn't enough of a jolt, she realises every time it happens that it's not a future she wants.
When Oliver comes along however, all this changes, when she sees a beautiful, impish little girl in their shared future.
But if Maddy wants the happy family she’ glimpses with Oliver, she knows she must break his heart now…
Laura Pearson never disappoints; she manages to tug at the heartstrings whilst maintaining an optimistic tone throughout.
A novel well worth your time.

A love story with a twist I really enjoyed this one and didn't want it to end the ending was left kind of open will there be a book 2 I hope so

The Many Futures of Maddy Hart by Laura Pearson
Maddy has a gift; every time she sleeps with a guy she can see ten years into their future. So far none of her futures have been very positive until she meets Oliver.
Everything about him is perfect and their future is exactly were she wants to be ten years from now but the more she learns about what their future holds the more she realises that she will need to make a sacrifice in the present for their perfect future.
I loved this book and all the characters. All of Laura Pearson’s books leave you with a happy warm fuzzy feeling in your heart and soul.
I would like to thank Net Galley and Boldwood Books, for a copy of this eBook in exchange for an honest review.

4.5 🌟
What a wonderfully original story. The perfect dose of magical realism.
The plot revolves around Maddy Hart when she discovers that everything she has sex she has a vision on that exact moment but 10 years in the future but only for a short while. Initially it only serves to drive her away from the men she's with until eventually she meets someone that changes everything. She sees a future she may actually want. Maddy has to learn to navigate her real life as a struggling actor while having these secret visions and trying not to let them influence her now too much, until one day she discovers she absolutely has to make certain decisions because of them or risk the future she has come to love.
This was such a lovely premise. The now chapters mixed with the future chapters were a great break on the storyline but also adding to the storyline. Each character added depth and substance to the whole book, enriching it.
The story had charm, love and suspense, making this a well rounded book.
Highly recommended for lovers of magical realism what if scenarios.
Many thanks to Boldworld books for providing me with a copy of the book for review via NetGalley. All opinions are my own

It happens to her every time. When the kisses lead to the bedroom, just when she thinks she might have found the one… Just for a split second, Maddy disappears, and she finds that she’s living her own life. But ten years from now. She’s only there for a little while. But each time, it’s long enough to know that she doesn’t want to be any of those versions of Maddy. Because every man she falls for seems to lead her to a life that is just… wrong.
Until she meets Oliver. And the vision of what lies ahead for them is happy. A little girl runs around, her braids flying behind her, giggling about how she wants sausages for dinner. She has eyes just like Oliver’s. There’s just one catch. If Maddy wants the life she’s seeing with Oliver, she realises she has to break his heart now.
This is the fourth book from Laura Pearson that I've read, and every single one has been brilliant. The stories are so unique. Heartbreaking in the best way. I highly recommend this to virtually everyone who likes to read! 5⭐
I received an advanced complimentary digital copy of this book from Netgalley. Opinions expressed are my own.

I love Laura Pearson’s books! She writes the most thought provoking books and this one was so fun. Imagine, you meet someone, you spend time together and you have sex. Sounds pretty normal right? NOT! Now imagine that each time you end up in bed with someone you get transported ten years in the future and that future does not include the person next to you. What would you do? Enjoy the ride because this one is something special. Thank you to Netgalley, Boldwood Books, and the amazing Laura Pearson for the advanced copy of this book.

This was a fun read, being able to see Ten years into the future, over and over it leads you to think imagine if you would, what would you do? I enjoyed this and it was a fast read, a little silly at times but the concept was intriging and definitely worth reading!

Imagine, just imagine if you had a vision every time you have sex.
You are instantly transported to 10 years in the future. Are you still with the person that you are currently having sex with? Are you happy? Where are you living? Do you have children or pets?
And if you're not happy with something that you've just seen, would you not just call it a day on the relationship?
This is a truly special book that is written in such a way that you really do feel for Maddy. Essentially, this is a romance but it really is so much more.
The chapters are short and snappy and really made reading about Maddy and her friends and family an absolute pleasure.
I don't believe that I've read anything by this author before but I'd like to rectify this and will certainly be searching for her books the next time that I go to a bookshop.
I shall be recommending this to everyone.
