A good romance, easy to read, very likeable characters and a journey to happiness in the end. Would recommend to anyone who likes a good romance.

It’s been a while since I’ve binged a book in less than 24 hours but that’s exactly what I did with this book! I couldn’t put it down!
The whole concept of this story completely hooked me! Think sliding doors, right person/wrong time, throw in some romcom magic, banter and chemistry and this is what you’ll find in this book! 👏🏼
I instantly liked Chris, he had the kind of banter and impulsiveness I could get on board with and he had such a real personality, I couldn’t ever imagine him being fake. Lexie took a little longer for me to warm up to, but once I did, I really liked her and her relationship with her best friend Scarlet was so refreshing, Scarlet offered up the type of advice you would want from your best friend and she was so honest when Lexie needed it most.
I couldn’t tell which way the plot would go until the very end, I had my suspicions but I always find with Elle Cook books she does offer a detailed and full plot so whilst it is a rom com, I did like the slightly deeper storylines and the unpredictability of it.
Also I now really want to play wedding bingo at the next wedding I’m invited too 🤭

Who doesn’t love a wedding. Really cute read. The wedding Bingo was a master stroke.
Loved having Chris and Lexie’s viewpoints throughout.
Great story flowed well. A feel good read.

This was an uplifting cheery story that I enjoyed and would recommend for an afternoon's read on a beach.

This book was so good - so good that I read the ending twice! This is the fourth book I've read by this author; the two previous Elle Cook ones and one Lorna Cook one and I've really enjoyed her books.
There were a few times when the story didn't go the way that I thought it would go, making it feel fresh and different and it wasn't the typical run-of-the-mill romance novel. I loved both Lexie's and Chris' narratives, bringing out their vulnerabilities. I also loved Lexie and Scarlet's sisterhood.
Overall a must-read and if you haven't read any of Elle Cook's books before, go and read them all!

had me laughing had me giggling had me getting angsty all the way through. this was a feel good book in all the right places. it oozed warmth and all right place hit home with the bingo wedding card adding such an original premise. i now want to do this at every event i go through. it reminds me of what i sometimes do when a social media influencer posts comes up and you just know whats coming. but this was way better because it didnt fill me with rage but smiles.
i loved the friendships and the woman felt relatable and real. and the romance aspect didnt take over the personalities or the other amazing moments and instead they added more to it.
loved this book.

I love the plot line of this romance and thought it was a clever way to hook you into the story. The characters were all very likeable and I was invested in each of the three main characters story.
I liked Lexie, her funny bingo card with her friend Sarah as they had spent the summer months attending weddings as each others plus one. I especially enjoyed her not being able to say whose wedding she was at. Both Chris and Josh were good MMC’s. Very different from each they both were attracted to Lexie and the story goes from there.
I liked the discussions around previous relationships and how life provides chances we don’t always take. I guessed what the outcome of the book was going to be but didn’t know how we would get there. I was a bit miffed at what happened, there was little warning that this could be the case especially since before this questions were asked and Lexie was reassured so I put it out of my mind.
A good romance, easy to read, very likeable characters and a journey to happiness in the end. Would recommend to anyone who likes a good romance.

The Wedding Game by Elle Cook is a fun romantic story. It centres on best friends Lexie and Scarlet, as they play daring games of wedding bingo to pass the time at all the weddings they are invited to attend. But the game goes a bit awry when Lexie meets two handsome men at one wedding.
She has an instant connection with handsome Chris, but unfortunately he lives in New York. Then there's also the rugged Josh, a farmer who lives not too far away from London. Lexie goes from no prospects to two charming men, and she's having a hard time choosing!
As she spends more time with Josh she also chats openly with Chris, and as she grows closer to both men it's clear that she will have to make a choice. The friendship between her and Scarlet was a highlight of the book for me, and I enjoyed that the ending wasn't predictable.
Thanks to NetGalley and Penguin Random House UK for the e-ARC.

I loved this story! A lovely easy engaging read with lovely characters. I felt money and who was paying for things was mentioned an awful lot but the wedding bingo was fun. I was sad we didn’t get much time with Lexie and Chris, but I was glad the anticipated happy ending came!

This was very fun, teary, entertaining and romantic.
I loved the characters and the whole love triangle/ not really love triangle situation. Feelings are hard and a lot can happen that makes us feeling confused.
This was a good depiction of those confusing feelings we possibly have towards people, especially when they’re romantic feelings.

4.5 stars
A sliding doors-esque rom com (without the split storyline). Out of luck Lexie and her friend Scarlet have taken to playing wedding bingo to keep the multiple weddings they are attending fresh and fun, with more and more outlandish things on their ‘cards’.
As Lexie tries to find the best man for a snog, she meets Chris. There’s an instant spark and he invites her to join him in New York. She reluctantly says no and almost instantly falls into the arms of the best man, farmer Josh. And so begins a cat and mouse tale of lost loves, what might have been and fate.
I really enjoyed this read. Cosy, but with a few twists I didn’t see coming which kept the tension high until the very end. I raced through it.

Thank you so much to Cornerstone, Random House UK, & NetGalley for the arc!
4 stars!
You know what...I enjoyed this more than I realised when I finished it.
This had parts that had me laughing, getting annoyed, getting angry, all of the things. But one thing I enjoyed in this was how realistic characters were in this and their reactions, Chris asking Lexie just as he met her at the start to go to New York - felt like an unrealistic jump, but their reactions to it when speaking about it felt real, and when certain things happen in the book I felt like Lexie really came across as a great character.
There's more I want to say and also SCREAM ABOUT BECAUSE WHAT?!!?!?!? but I better not looool

The Wedding Game is a delightful, heartwarming rom-com that had me laughing, swooning, and biting my nails with its will-they-won’t-they romance. I just love the emotional depth hidden beneath all the humor. It’s not just about who Lexie kisses at the wedding; it’s about love, trust, and finding out what really matters in life. This book had me rooting for her every step of the way, and the ending was absolutely perfect. If you’re in the mood for a romantic, feel-good read with a bit of heartache mixed in, this is the one to pick up!

This was such a great read, it’s all about the characters here and EC certainly knows how to weave a character you care way too much about. I was invested in the story straight away (wedding bingo yes please!), Lexie was the perfect female lead narrator carrying the plot well along side Chris who input I also enjoyed. I was rooting and waving the flag for both ‘rivals’ at different times and honestly didn’t know which way the plot would go. In my opinion, while it’s an easy lighthearted read, it offers a more detailed and full plot than you’d usually get with a chic-lit book and I loved it as I have all EC previous books!
With thanks to author #ellecook #penguinbooks and @netgalley for allowing us to read this one early!

What a fantastic contemporary romance. I loved the characters of Lexie and Chris, and it wouldn’t have felt complete without best friend Scarlet. This author is amazing and I have read all of her books as Elle Cook and Lorna Cook; this one definitely didn’t disappoint. I thought I had worked it all out but with just a few pages to go, I realised I had it all wrong. Please take notice of this wonderful author and her books.

I really enjoyed this book. It was very easy to read and full of fun moments. I read this book so fast it was that good. Will definitely read more from this author in the future.

Many thanks to NetGalley for providing me an e-arc in change for a honest review.
Really enjoyed this from start to finish, loved the dual pov throughout which gave you an god view of how both characters felt and developed as the story went on, the additional characters really added to the story.
The ending was perfect, loved that it was one you didn’t fully work out what would happen

Absolutely loved this book! I did not love Josh, but I prayed that Lexie and Chris would get their happy ending. Loved the character arcs and development and the different viewpoints. Nothing bad to say! Would definitely recommend

Elle Cook's The Wedding Game had extremely witty banter between Lexie and Chris. Consequently, it was clear that Josh and Lexie would never work out from their lack of sparks and foreplay to the introduction of his female best friend. The morally gray area of Lexie constantly still unknowingly pining for Chris after dating Josh for nearly a year really made her an unlikeable character after a while. Her friendship with Scarlet felt like the best part of the book. Cook's tone felt similar to a Bridget Jones film. The concept of a wedding bingo grid is so fun, and it really felt like there could have been a lot more done with this concept.

Elle Cook never fails to disappoint! A really fun storyline where you are rooting for the MC's the whole time, but it's not dragged out. A fantastic mix of romance, humour & friendships. I'll forever recommend EC's books!
