I like you! Oh what absolutely wonderful story. I really loved it so much. The author has a wondrous way with words. She created a perfect cuddle time story. Every page creates a thought that we hold dear. The illustrations go perfectly to share the emotions of the story. We see the many different reasons and ways that we as parents and caregivers “like you!”
As a mom this was an emotional and meaningful story for me. My son, age 5, is on the Autism Spectrum. He struggles with his feelings and understanding ours. Sometimes he struggled to see that even in his sad and upset moments we still love him. This book was perfect for him. It told a message in a creative and calm way. I love the diversity of the illustrations and the wonderful way it includes everyone.
I will be buying this for several families that we know.
A great way to share with your little ones.
Sky full of stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I was drawn to this book by the beautiful orange color, fun illustrations, and gorgeous diversity. I didn’t realize until the end that the author is someone I have followed on social media for awhile, @theluckyfewofficial. This book has lengthier text that makes me think it’s best for 3+ age group. I like the repetitive rhythm of the story and the overall message of loving your kid because “you are YOU,” and love is unconditional.

This is such a wonderful reminder for our children they are loved no matter their differences. As an autism momma, I so enjoyed this book and will add it to our home library as a reminder to my sons that they are just fine the way they are.

“You are the best at doing your best.”
Was not expecting this little book to pack such an emotional punch. This is a message that every person, from any age and at every stage, could benefit from hearing.
This books features full color pages with lovely and diverse illustrations. The representation and inclusivity was refreshing and necessary.
While I thought the narrator did a fantastic job, this is one of those books that really needs to be seen. The loveliness of the illustrations is only eclipsed by the loveliness of the message itself.
Thank you to NetGalley, Zonderkidz-Books, and Heather Avis for this ARC and ALC in exchange for my honest opinion.

This was so cute! I loved the inclusivity of this book and would definitely recommend to my nieces and nephews. Thanks to NetGalley and zonderkidz for a copy of this book.

Thanks so much to NetGalley for the free Kindle book. My review is voluntarily given, and my opinions are my own.
This is wonderful book to teach children healthy self-esteem, as it goes through all the aspects of what makes you special. Why the narrator likes you just the way you are. The idea that you don't need to change anything about yourself to be worthy of love is something everyone needs to learn, not just children (the book uses the word like, so it is perfectly acceptable for any classroom).
Would definitely recommend.

In my opinion, you can never have enough books about self-esteem. This one takes the message and matches it with fun artwork to keep the reader engaged. I would buy this book for a school library.

This book is, in a word, a celebration. It focuses on seeing, celebrating and embracing our bodies, our minds, our emotions… ourselves! These are the exact messages I look for in books to read to my littles. There’s wonderful representation in the images and the illustrations are crisp, bright and joyous. I also like how the author included a picture of herself with her family - what a lovely personal touch. I would absolutely read this book each night with my family and give this as a gift to others.

This book is such a perfect one to read at bedtime and send your kiddo to bed with a smile on their face. It was adorable! Loved reading this with my 7 year old.

There is so much to like about you! You are the best and the most fun! I like the way you make others feel accepted, too. I like all of the things that make you who you are!
The illustrations by Juliana Eigner are simple and with brilliant colors that emphasize the prose.
Well suited for reading alone or WITH someone of any age including ESL, and great for gifting to everyone, but especially to a school, waiting room or your local public library!
I requested and received a temporary uncorrected proof galley from Zonderkidz via NetGalley.

Ok I have to say: this one surprised me. The book starts off with a similar sentiment we read about often in kids' books: We love you! You're great! Your body/brain are amazing!
But then it slows down about halfway and gets real: "Sometimes you don't feel silly. I like that too." then later in a slightly larger font "And you know it's okay to feel sad." Later, "You know so much, particularly about people. I like how that helps you be mindful." Mind. Blown.
The illustrations are so cute and happy and include drawings of different kinds of children (different shades of skin, children with vitiligo, children with Down syndrome, children in a wheelchair or with a replacement leg or blind).
It's so good. Chef's kiss.
Thank you to NetGalley, Zonderkidz-Books, Zonderkidz, Heather Avis, and Juliana Eigner for this free, advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

I Like You So Much is a sweet children's book that celebrates and accepts children just the way they are, as unique people. The message is that every individual child has value, even if - perhaps even especially if - they are different from other children. Each child should be loved, and love themselves, for who they are. It praises children for being empathetic and for doing their best.
The illustrations are fun and adorable, and include children of all different abilities and appearances.
This book would make a great gift for a child or an addition to an elementary classroom library.
Thank you to Zonderkids for my gifted copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

This is a must read for kiddos! I loved this book's themes of celebrating inclusivity, kindness and diversity. It is a great reminder for kids and their parents of the importance of belonging and celebrating every single person for exactly who they are. This book is packed full of positivity and a heart-warming read for all.

Thank you Netgalley and Applesauce Press for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book. The opinions written are completely honest and my own.

Thank you NetGalley, Zonderkidz, and Heather Avis for this advance copy of this lovely children's book! In exchange for my honest review.

I Like You So Much is such a loving and inclusive book that tells us how to love one another. I think this book is great for littles and adults alike to remind us of why we're on this earth and how we can make it better by loving each other.

5/5 Stars! Thank you NetGalley and Zonderkidz-Books for this eArch of I Like You So Much by Heather Avis.
I got this this book when it was available under Read Now and I'm so glad I did! It's super positive and has wonderful point of what makes you unique. I hate that it has come down to it, but I really wish I read more stories like this when I was younger. I think that it's a positive thing to allow kids to have and feel emotions when things happen. It's pretty unique.
Love the cute illustration and overal pont of the story. I will def be adding this to our book collection! Thank you!

I really like books for children that are positive. This book follows all the wonderful things that make you you. It gives permission for you to feel emotions and empathy. It points out the differences we have that make us special and perfect at the same time. The illustrations are fun and colorful. Most of all it talks about liking and loving yourself. A lesson everyone should learn.

I love this book so much!! I’m always looking for books that promote a sense of belonging - Heather Avis is a favorite of ours!! I love a good children’s book that encourages kids to accept others and themselves and shows the beauty in us all … this one hits that mark in all the ways!! I will be reading “I Like You So Much” over and over to keep the positive message (that I like everything about them and they are amazing) fresh on my kids’ minds!!

I LOVE this book so much! I truly cannot wait for the physical copy to read to my daughter. The message is simple but profound in how it covers all the things from physical differences, to how we all handle even hard times. Everything that makes a person who they are is to be embraced and that’s a beautiful thing for kids to understand.
The illustrations are gorgeous and detailed with personality and diversity. It makes for great added conversation by discussing the differences of the character representations and how that exists in real life.
Heather always has a remarkable ability of encouraging inclusion in the most heartfelt, genuine way!
