Oh my goodness, this story was so good and very addictive. If I wasn't reading it I was thinking about it. Twisty full of dead ends and thrilling. As you have guessed I enjoyed this immensely. My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

Dw i erioed wedi dal fy ngwynt gymaint wrth ddarllen llyfr o’r blaen ac roedd darllen hwn cyn mynd i’r gwely ambell noson yn syniad gwirion gan ei fod yn amhosibl ei roi i lawr. Mae’r stori yn dilyn Leigh, wrth iddi gael ei galw i helpu i ddatrys llofruddiaeth yng nghanol storm enfawr a chael ei dal mewn adeilad prifysgol yn llawn myfyrwyr i fochel rhag y storm, ond mae dihiryn yn eu mysg. Cawn geisio datrys dirgelwch ei gorffennol a phroblemau newydd ei phresennol yng nghanol y cyffro. Mae pob tudalen yn gwneud i’r galon ruthro ac mae’r naratif yn datblygu’n gyflym gyda llond llaw o brif gymeriadau. Fe wnes i amau’r llofrudd go iawn tua hanner ffordd drwy’r nofel ond roeddwn ar binnau eisiau gwybod a oeddwn yn gywir! Nofel wych ond swni’n argymell bod angen darllen 2 lyfr blaenorol yn gyntaf!
I’ve never held my breath so much reading a book before, and reading this before bed wasn’t a good idea as I just couldn’t put it down! We follow the story of Leigh as she is called to help solve a murder and gets caught in a university building full of students to shelter from a wild storm, but there’s a stranger in their midst. The plot develops as we try to solve the mysteries of her past and deal with the problems of her present in the middle of all the action. Every page makes your heart race and the narrative develops quickly with a handful of main characters. I did suspect the murderer about halfway through the book but I was on the edge of my seat desperate to find out if I was right! A fantastic novel, although I would suggest reading the first 2 in the series before this one.

Leigh Brody FBI Mystery Book 3. The story revolves around a present-day murder that echoes a past crime, forcing Leigh to confront her own past mistakes. This book delivers a thrilling and satisfying reading experience

Enjoyable and engrossing characters. Written well. More please. Thank you Netgalley, publisher and author for the ARC. 4/5

Leigh had put 15-year-old Ava's mother in prison for murder. Her father had died and Ava's mother had asked Leigh to take Ava in. They had a tumultuous relationship and Ava kept slipping away in the middle of the night and Leigh had no idea where she went.
Leigh, who was an FBI profiler, and Ford, who was a US Marshall we're tasked to go to a university to investigate four murders. Not wanting yo leave Ava, Leigh brought her along with her. 18 years ago a student had been murdered at the university and Leigh's boyfriend, Dean, had been accused of the murder. Leigh had alibied him out. There had been three men murdered over the years And all four murders had been tied together. Marshall Ford had been tracking the three male murders. Leigh had assumed all the murders had been committed by Dean. While they were at the university, four more murders were committed. Leigh had been a student there and she had a professor who had taught her criminology. She had been his TA. Because the professor had had the two women who had been murdered as teaching assistants, and he had had a relationship with each of them, Leigh decided he was the murderer. She isolated him and he ended up being a victim.
A storm had descended and the police had told them and the students of Thompson Hall to stay in. The basement had flooded and Leigh and Ford had gone down in search of evidence. Leigh found a dead body of a man in a cabinet. It turns out, the body was that of Marshall Ford and the killer had assumed his personality. Previously, Dean had presented himself to Leigh and told her he was innocent. When She realized who the killer was, she knew that Dean was indeed innocent.
The author did an excellent job of keeping me on the edge of my seat And the characters were especially believable. I love how the author kept the suspense alive And led the reader through all of the twists and turns of the story. I would love to read more by this author who is very talented. I gave this book five stars.

The Killer She Knew is book 3 in the Leigh Brody FBI Mystery series. I really enjoyed this story. I did read the first 2 book and would recommend reading them in order. This book was a roller-coaster with twist after twist keeping me guessing. What I thought I knew I didn't. Great read and can't wait to read more from this author!

This has swiftly become one of my favorite series of this year. After the last book, I just couldn't see how she could make it as exciting or even more than it was. I was so wrong. This book just blew my mind. I kept thinking that I had the murderer pinned down and then I would change my mind. It turned out that I was right the first time at the end, but the fun is being able to try and piece everything together. And that ending? Wow. Just wow. There are no words for what I am feeling. I just cannot wait to read the next book and continue on with Leigh's new life. I highly recommend this high octane thriller of a book. You will not regret it.
Thanks to Net Galley, the publishers, and to Nichole Severn for the ability to read and review this book. All opinions are my own and are completely original.

The Killer She Knew is book 3 in the Agent Brody series, and in this latest instalment we find ourselves in New Hampshire. In the Midst of a hurricane, a woman's body is discovered,,, but this one really hits a chord with her, as it shares a lot of similarities with a case she hasn't been able to forget for many many years.
This is ultimately what gives her the drive to find a conclusion to a case that's plagued her life, and to find answers for the families affected by it.
This is a perfectly paced, gripping read and the perfect addition to what is already a fantastic series. I can't wait to read the next instalment!.
*Thank you to Netgalley and the Publishers for providing me with an ARC of this book in return for my honest review.*

A big thank you to NetGalley for the ARC of The Killer She Knew.
Having not read the prior books in this series, there were a decent amount of references that I’d need to go back to fully grasp. However, the author has a knack for keeping you in your toes!! Every time I thought I almost had it figured out, something would turn and I’d second guess myself.
From the intricacies of learning to care for a teenager battling her own demons to the depths of depravity shown by this killer, Leigh is taken on a merry-go-round of emotion to finally get to the bottom of this one. This twists and turns around every corner could’ve felt overwhelming but it was just enough to push me to “just read one more chapter” 👌🏻

This actually the 3rd book in the Leigh Brody series. I haven't read the first 2 so I read this as a standalone. This book doesn't let up from the very first page. Its fast paced, past and present timeline, and I honestly couldn't put it down.

Nichole Severn delivers a heart-pounding thriller with The Killer She Knew, the third installment in the Leigh Brody FBI series. With its razor-sharp suspense, emotional depth, and unrelenting twists, this book cements Severn’s reputation as a master of romantic suspense and psychological thrillers.
FBI criminologist Leigh Brody is forced to confront her own past when a murder at her alma mater mirrors a chilling case from eighteen years ago. The victim is found in the same spot, killed in the same manner—a case that still haunts Leigh because she gave her former boyfriend, Dean, a false alibi all those years ago. As a hurricane traps her, her adopted daughter Ava, and a campus full of students with a possible killer, the tension reaches an unbearable peak. Did Leigh make a terrible mistake by protecting Dean? And if he’s back, is she next?
Severn masterfully weaves past and present timelines, keeping readers on edge as Leigh races against time to stop a killer while battling the guilt of her past. The novel’s locked-in setting heightens the tension, creating a claustrophobic sense of danger as the storm rages outside and bodies continue to drop. The addition of Leigh’s personal struggles—both as an FBI agent and a mother trying to connect with her traumatized daughter—adds a rich emotional layer that makes her a deeply compelling protagonist.
Fast-paced, action-packed, and filled with jaw-dropping twists, The Killer She Knew is an addictive thriller that will keep you guessing until the very last page. Whether you're a longtime fan of the series or jumping in for the first time, this book is impossible to put down. Highly recommended for readers who love gripping suspense with a strong, intelligent heroine at its heart.

Wow! This book kept me up LATE because it took so many unexpected turns. Book 3 in the Leigh Brody FBI series. Leigh is called to a murder scene which happens to be the campus of the college she attended over 16 years prior. The bizarre part is that this murder is much like a murder that took place when she was a student there and now she’s questioning the false alibi she gave to protect her then boyfriend who was the accused murderer. Though she did think he was innocent at the time, he vanished without a trace after the murder and now Leigh is wondering if there’s a connection between the two murders and motivated to right this wrong that’s been haunting her for years. I loved Leigh’s character. She is incredibly smart, and assertive and just an overall badass. I enjoyed this book, much more than I thought I would and did not expect it to have so much suspense. Of course I passed it right along to my husband!

I love returning to Agent Brody's world. The Killer She Knew takes up to New Hampshire in the middle of a hurricane after the body of a woman is discovered in the middle of Leigh Brody's alma mater. The cause of death was eerily similar to one that has haunted her and her ex boyfriend since college. She is determined to solve this case once and for all. Not only did the crime have a lot of twists and turns which I enjoyed, I really loved the character development of Leigh and Ava during this book. It was more than just a crime thriller and I am looking forward to seeing how their family develops in the future.

Thank you to Netgalley and Storm Publishing for an early copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I loved this book and read it in one sitting! I could not put it down, I had to know what happens! I would definitely recommend this book.

This was a tense, mail-bitingly thrilling read. Loved loved loved this one. Absolutely wonderful and unputdownable. Deserves all the stars.

The Killer She Knew by Nichole Severn is the 3rd book in the excellent Leigh Brody FBI Mystery series and I have really enjoyed all of these books, especially as they are full of twists and turns, from the beginning till the very end. The main character FBI Agent Leigh Brody was a strong and excellent character. I can’t wait to see what’s next for her.
This book can be read as a standalone but I do recommend you go back and read the other 2 books.
Superb holiday read
Big Thank you NetGalley and Storm Publishing for my ARC.

I read this book without reading the other ones from this series. The book captivated me on wanting to know more and not wanting to put it down. But during some parts i lost interest. Leigh is a character that does seem to catch a break! But i do love the strong female character presence. I liked how creepy the settings were as well.

Thank you Netgalley and Storm Publishing for the chance to read The killer she knew by Nichole Severn. The third book in the Leigh Brody FBI series, Leigh is brought back to her alma mater when a girl's murder is similar to one from 18 years ago, which Leigh's boyfriend was accused of, but when Leigh gave a false alibi, Gavin disappeared...has he returned to continue the killings? I enjoyed the fast pace, non stop action, and love Leigh's never give up attitude. I also loved the ending and look forward to the next book. This series and author are an automatic buy for me!

Thank you to Nichole Severn, Storm Publishing & NetGalley for the ARC. My review is voluntary, all opinions are my own.
What a fantastic book! It had everything and more I would want in a suspense/thriller. This book is a part of the Leigh Brody series, but may be read as a stand alone. Twists and turns, ups and down this was a definite roller-coaster ride.
