I really enjoyed this book! Told from different POVs of Soriah, Craig and "The Fox" across 2 different timeliness- present day and Twenty One years ago which was easy to follow.
It was twisty and fast paced and had me questioning who The Fox was and what everyone's motives were through out this book! It is a brilliantly written book and had me wanting to read more - so much so I finished it in a day!

(3.5)
This was decent. The characters were pretty good, and the story was well thought out. Some things weren't quite explained well and other too well however the story flowed nicely, and it does get you hooked. I read this in a day. It was sort of really very easy to figure the ending out early on so it's not one of those huge reveal shockers but still written well.
All in all, this was a good book. Not a new favorite or anything but worth the read.

Diane Saxon’s mystery The Quiet Wife had me hooked on page one. Narrated predominantly by the main protagonist, Soriah, shows what she went through twenty-one years ago. The plot moves quickly. It does not take long to see where it is going and figure it out.
This is a dark and gripping story about trauma, resilience, and the intricacies of survival.
I like the writer style and would be interested in reading future books this book has hot topics that may have trigger warnings for some people.

Fantastic, full of tension and suspense with twists that just kept coming. I couldn't put it down and read it in a couple of hours.

The Quiet Wife by Diane Saxon is a gripping psychological thriller that delves into the terrifying impact of past trauma on the present. The protagonist, a woman who has spent years hiding from a dark secret, is forced to confront her worst fears when the man who once obsessed over her is released from prison. As strange occurrences unfold, Saxon skillfully builds tension and suspense, keeping readers on edge as the protagonist grapples with both her past and her unsettling present. With its chilling atmosphere, unexpected twists, and deep exploration of fear and survival, this book is a compelling read for fans of thrillers and psychological drama.

This was my first read from Diane Saxon and I was not disappointed. This book was chilling and I didn't want to put it down.

Fantastic from start to finish this book was immediately gripping and thoroughly enjoyable would highly recommend to anyone either who normally reads this genre or is looking to start

Really liked this book. First from this author for me and I definitely recommend her and look forward to reading more.
As a young college student S is attacked by a fellow student. Her so called best friend helped her attacker to kidnap her.
Many years later he is released from prison and it’s a round then that scary and strange things are happening around her. Husband and best friend go behind her back, then she finds out she is pregnant.
Things start to escalate and come to a head.
Great storyline. Well written. Highly recommend this one.

What does one do when your past comes back to haunt you? This book took me on a roller coaster ride with so many twists and turns that I did not want to get off. Soriah was faced with hard experiences that affected her life tremendously however, she was an overcomer. The book was very suspenseful and kept me on the edge of my seat however, I did figure out a few things in the book before it was revealed. Overall, I truly enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it to fellow readers.

This book was amazing, one of the best I’ve read!! The storyline was original and had me HOOKED. The twists were surprising and honestly, I didn’t want the book to end. I’d give it 10 ⭐️, it is a MUST READ!

THE QUIET WIFE BY DIANE SAXON.
Release date set for the 20th of February 2025.
This book instantly jumped out to me after reading the blurb and it did not disappoint.
Soriah's story from the past actually breaks my heart.
The premise is amazing and it all came together perfectly in my opinion.
This is my first book by this author and I'll be reading another one of hers again.

First of all, I loved the way it's written. The book will make you weep, shocks you from time to time and the twists will make you gasp!
Some of the things were predictible but I enjoyed reading it. I felt so connected to Soriah that it's almost like I was living her life. I would love to read more this author!! I was literally not able to put it down; finished the book in 2 days!

Soriah is living a quiet life. She has escaped what happed in her past and Craig Lane is behind bars. When she hears that he is going to be released from prison she starts to panic. Will she be safe, will he start stalking her again. When flowers and messages start coming to her are they from him?
A good fast paced read that I read in one sitting found it hard to put down once I started.

4.5 ⭐️ | The Quiet Wife is a gripping psychological thriller that keeps you at the edge of your seat. This was my first novel by Diane Saxon and upon finishing, I immediately added her entire catalogue to my TBR list.
The story follows Soriah as she navigates through life, still impacted by a traumatic experience of a stalker from her past. The alternating timelines between past and present were easy to follow, adding more suspense to the characters as the chapters continued. Suddenly, her world is yet again turned upside down when ghosts that she thought she buried long ago, comes back to haunt her. With the amount of deception in her midst, Soriah begins to question everyone & everything, including her own sanity.
Thank you Boldwood Books for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

A fast paced thriller that I definitely needed in between my romance books! Def enjoyed! Soriah was a rather interesting character but I liked her! I enjoyed the dual timeline delivery of the book!

Thank you Netgalley, Diane Saxon and Boldwood Books for the eArc of The Quiet Wife.
The Quiet Wife is a medium paced psychological thriller that is a fast read and a complete page turner. I have always loved Diane Saxon's books, this felt a little under par for her but it was a great read none the less. The pacing of the book is constant throughout the book, but I found the twists a little predictable.. Even with this only negative, it's still a great page turner.

When I read the synopsis for The Quiet Wife, I was excited to dive in! Sadly, the book itself just didn't quite hit the mark, in my opinion. I found it hard to get into and rather slow. It seemed to drag on longer than it needed to. I'm so glad that there are people who have read and loved this one but it just wasn't for me. I do appreciate the advanced copy provided via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

After moving away from Shropshire, and binge reading all of the thrillers based in Cumbria, I decided I wanted to find a thriller based near my home town. That's when I found Diane and the Jenna Morgan series (which I hope there are more off). When I finished those, I wanted more, and enjoyed Diane's writing style, so I back to back read her other books. I was absolutely thrilled to be able to read this, and devoured it. It is excellent. I hope Diane has many more books to come, whether they feature my favourite Jenna or not.

It is one of those books that transports you making you forget about real life and full of characters that spring to life. I actually felt like I was there in the story with them ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Quiet Wife is extremely predictable. I like trying to figure out how twists are going to turn out in books, but I did not have to try very hard with this one. I also did not find any character to be likeable. It is a well written book, just not one I would read again.
Thanks to NetGalley, Diane Saxon, and Boldwood Books for allowing me to read an advanced reader copy of The Quiet Wife in the return of an honest review.
