Tiny daggers was a 3.5 star read for me. Thank you for letting me eARC this one!

Mysterie and thriller books are my to to, so when I saw this one on netgalley I had to read it's description. The cover? Nailed it! It had me intrigued. The description was a good one and I couldn't wait to read.

In this story we follow Holly Jones, expad who has it all in Miami. Rich, nice house, husband, kids the whole nine yards. In comes Holly Wild, who was a best friend back in the day in London.. But why is Holly W. Mingling with J's friends? Turning up at her house? Giving presents to her kids and.. Is she seeing the husband? Surely that can't be it? Has Holly W. come to steal her live?

We get to read Holly Jones' point of view up until her fortieth birthday party. That's when we switch and get Holly Wilds point of view. As some things become clearer when reading, the end and the mastermind scheme.. It was a little far fetched in my eyes BUT still a good enough read.

Review of *Tiny Daggers* by Caroline Corcoran

Caroline Corcoran delivers a masterfully written psychological thriller in *Tiny Daggers*. This gripping tale follows two women, both named Holly, who were inseparable best friends in their school years. As adults, their lives have taken very different paths—one Holly is married and seemingly stable, while the other is divorced and navigating a more uncertain future.

The story explores the fragility of friendships and the lasting impact of secrets. It delves into how unresolved issues from the past can shape, and sometimes destroy, the lives we build in the present.

One of the book’s greatest strengths is its ability to keep readers on edge with its relentless twists and turns. Just when you think you’ve figured out the trajectory, another revelation leaves you reeling. It’s a story that keeps you second-guessing every character’s motives, loyalties, and truths.

The prose is impeccable, with Corcoran’s writing bringing the characters and their emotional journeys vividly to life. Her sharp observations about relationships, envy, and the darker sides of human nature add depth to the narrative.

I couldn’t put this book down; each chapter pulled me further into its web of suspense and intrigue. For fans of psychological thrillers, *Tiny Daggers* is a must-read that will keep you captivated until the very last page.

Highly recommended!

What a wild ride this book was!
It follows 2 old school “friends”, sometimes referred to as bad Holly and good Holly. This book slowly unravels the past and present secrets they are keeping from each other. The author gave us both characters perspectives which cleverly kept me swapping sides until eventually I did not know who to root for. Overall, it was mostly well paced but it slowed down a little around the 60% mark which is why I dropped a star. I loved the writing style, easy and engaging to read, I will definitely be looking into this authors other works.

Tiny Daggers by new to me author Caroline Corcoran, published by Thomas & Mercer is a fun read. Written in three parts, the reader learns about the two Hollys. Good Holly and bad Holly and how their paths cross again and again.
A fun read, even there were some lengths, a good read, 3,5 stars.

The most dangerous predators in Miami don’t bite. They brunch. Expat Holly Jones has built the perfect life for herself in an exclusive area of Miami: the beautiful house, the enviable family. So the last person she expects to bump into one morning is a ghost from her old life in London, someone she hasn’t seen in over twenty years: the other Holly, Holly Wild! Wow!! Some juicy secrets in this one! It also had suspense, intriguing, murder, mystery, gaslighting, cheating, childhood secrets, and some crazy twists and turns! The story was very interesting! I definitely recommend reading this book! Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!

Note - I edited my review because after initially thinking this was my first book by the author, it turns out I read The Baby Group ARC back in 2020, in addition to her other books, but I hadn't put two-and-two together! It looks like I am subconsciously drawn to Carolne Corcoran's books!!!

Tiny Daggers is written in three parts. It starts with the news that a body has washed up on a private hotel beach in the Florida Keys. We soon learn that two women named Holly are staying there. They've known each other since childhood and there's some sort of rivalry or toxic dynamic. In school, their peers referred to them as Good Holly and Bad Holly. We don't know which one is which, but it is suggested that we're reading the POV of Bad Holly, who's built the perfect life in Miami after an unhappy life in the UK. Holly resents 'The Other Holly'. She sees her as your archetypal 'miss perfect' and is unable to get over their nicknames in childhood, which she feels are undeserved,

As the story continues, we are given glimpses of their past through pieces of news. One of the Hollies ran away from home one night, sparking a country-wide search for her. The obvious assumption is that Bad Holly (or Holly in present POV) was a truant and the news are about her. As the story continues, we learn more about Holly and her life ciscumstances that lead her to this point, including interviews with other teenagers who were in a similar position.

Back in the present day, 'Holly' laments her bad luck. She's annoyed that 'The Other Holly' is ruining the perfect life she's built away from home. Slowly, The Other Holly starts 'stealing her friends' Erika and Violet, and Holly realises The Other Holly has come to essentially steal her life. Soon enough, the worst happens and Holly finds enough evidence to suspect The Other Holly is sleeping with her husband!

Holly starts keeping tabs on The Other Holly on Instagram out of all places. As the story goes on, it transpires that Holly is extremely vapid and annoying. Apparently a cheating husband is bad, but not as bad as throwing a joint 40th birthday party with your rival, only for everyone to gush about her and act as if it's HER party!!

I'd describe this book as a mix of The White Lotus with hints of Lisa Jewel and 2000s chick lit for those who read Heat magazine back in the day. I tick all the boxes, so I enjoyed it. The story is well-writen and I found it super easy and quick to read. A nice beach read. Bonus points for the celebrity mentions, especially the one at the end
