The Heirs #3: No More Yesterdays
by Catherine Bybee
This is the third book in *The Heirs* series, although I have only read the second and third books, but I’d strongly recommend starting with the first book to get the full context of the story and character development.
In this series, each of the three Stone siblings showcases unique strengths that bolster their family's unity during tough times. The story takes a gripping turn when a mystery unfolds: someone is plotting against Alex Stone, a strong, independent, and fierce woman who has taken over her father's company following his passing. Faced with numerous responsibilities and challenges, she has chosen to set aside thoughts of love and a personal life to fully dedicate herself to her role as the CEO of her father's thriving business empire, which was entrusted to her and her brothers. This was a role she never anticipated taking on, nor did she particularly desire it, especially considering that her father was largely absent from her life.
I absolutely loved the dynamic between Alex and Hawk; their relationship adds a compelling layer to the story. Alex's sharp wit often clashes with Hawk's brooding intensity, creating a captivating tension that draws readers in. This story is brimming with unexpected twists and turns, from shocking revelations about their pasts to pivotal moments that test their loyalty to one another. These elements keep readers on their toes, making it an exhilarating read filled with both suspense and romance. The author masterfully weaves together the thrill of action with the tender moments between the characters, making their journey all the more engaging.

No More Yesterdays was such a fun and exciting read! It’s the final book in the Heirs series and focuses on Alex Stone, a strong and successful CEO who suddenly finds herself in danger.
Enter Hawk Bronson, her sexy and protective bodyguard with a troubled past. The chemistry between Alex and Hawk was amazing. I loved how their relationship slowly built, mixing romance with action and suspense. The story was fast paced and full of twisted moments that kept me guessing about who was behind the threats. I also enjoyed seeing familiar characters from earlier in the series, it gave the book a nice sense of closure. The romance was swoony, the danger felt real, and the emotional moments were heartfelt. Alex learning to let someone in, and Hawk opening up about his past, made this more than just a romantic thriller. A perfect ending to the series, I didn’t want it to end.
Very grateful to the publisher for my copy through NetGalley, opinions are my own

I could not put it down! Strong characters, realistic romance, and a plot that will keep you captivated right to the end. Alex and Hawk are independent, strong-willed, and definitely not looking for love... life had other plans. A must-read!

This book is a wonderful romance with a very, very good mystery/suspense element. As the end of this trilogy, it did not disappoint. Please read the other two books in this trilogy. Trust me. You really want to read, or listen to, the first two books to get the full impact of this one. I love a strong, take-charge hero and Hawk is all that and more. Alex starts out as a workaholic, driven heroine with no room in her life, but circumstances make her reevaluate that life course. Her siblings and their significant others play a part in the story too. They became a real family.
When Alex Stone's father died, she didn't shed a tear. But she cried plenty at the mess he left behind. 16-hour days were barely adequate to right everything wrong with Stone Enterprises and with the Board fighting everything Alex, Chase and Max wanted to do - who wouldn't shed a tear of frustration. A bomb threat at the company changes everything.
A corporate meet and greet turns out to be something very different and Alex meets Hawk Bronson, a paid security operative for the event. He interrupts a situation that didn't look right and makes a big impression on Alex. Neither can forget the impact of the other and when a bomb threat is leveled against Stone Enterprises and Alex in particular, she calls him to evaluate their security. Alex becomes her personal security, and these two strong personalities have an interesting transition.
Finding the person responsible for the threats leads Alex and Hawk to discover a lot of deeply held secrets concerning her father and to confirm to Alex that inheriting a multi-million-dollar company was not really a gift. Especially not when the secrets put the company and Alex in danger. Hawk knew when he first saw Alex in danger that she was going to be a whole lot more than an assignment for him. Even with his past, he was helpless when it came to the powerful feelings she aroused in him. He would do whatever it took to keep her safe.
My thanks to the Publisher and Author for providing a complimentary digital Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) of this novel via NetGalley. This is my fair, honest and personal review. All opinions are mine alone and were not biased in any way.

No More Yesterdays by Catherine Bybee, book three of the Heirs series, is the gripping conclusion; this time someone wanting Alex Stone dead. With multiple twists, romance, and awesome characters, this story is filled with guesswork, conjecture, and surprises that immediately grabbled me, with a suspenseful opening that had me hooked.
Alex took over her late father's company after his passing. With the demands of her unplanned new role, Alex has come to terms with living life alone, focusing on her new career, and reshaping the hotel empire. What she didn't account for was having a target on her back which led to death threats. In comes Hawk Bronson, the bodyguard that unexpectedly protected and rescues Alex when she needed it. As the threats continue, Hawk is hired as Alex’s bodyguard, and he knows he should keep his distance; but when the tension builds and sparks fly, it might just be worth the risk. Hawk needs to work through his past trauma and be able to trust Alex. Alex needs to learn that leaning on someone doesn’t make you weak; especially when the person you lean on is a Viking.
Bybee adds in plenty of suspense and twists that you don’t really see coming. This was an action-packed romance, with the mystery of who is threatening Alex, what family secrets will be uncovered, and will Hawk and Alex be able to face their fears for a chance at something real. I literally could not stop reading this book and devoured it in one sitting. It is everything you love in a billionaire romance: touching, steamy, and you fall in love with the characters.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

💰The heiress gets a brave, resourceful man
Some threats and thrills gave this romance in the world of billionaires and corporate power politics a suspenseful undercurrent. The romance had an interesting dynamic with the tremendously wealthy but down to earth female CEO Alex falling for the security expert who makes it his personal mission to protect her. I really liked Hawk; he's got quite the tightrope to walk taking care of the highly independent Alex who really does need protection right from the opening chapters where her company VP puts her in a precarious position. It's a story of two professionals, one working for the other, trying to keep their attraction muted but failing.
For me, the previous two stories in the series focused on Chase and Max, Alex's two siblings, and their romances were stronger. The business wheeling and dealing in Alex's story didn't interest me as much. Also, I found the perpetrator of the threats against Alex a bit far-fetched.
Good but not as good as the earlier part of the series. I thought the first novel was the best.
Thanks to Montlake and NetGalley for sharing a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest opinion.
Review shared on 6/15/25 on Goodreads and Bookbub, and with Barnes & Noble and BAM.

This is the third and final book in The Heirs series featuring Alex Stone. I’ve been waiting for her story. I’ve enjoyed the first two books in this series and it was the same with this one.
Alex is a strong woman, but she is under a lot of stress with the handling of Stone Enterprises. Soon, she is in need of a bodyguard when there is a bomb threat at the office and a threat on her life.
Hawk Bronson enters her life and his goal is to protect her, but Alex is most definitely a stubborn woman, too. Their relationship is sweet and steamy.
I love this whole series and how the family bonded together after their father’s passing and now with the threat to Alex.
Thank you to Montlake Romance and NetGalley for an advanced readers copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

What a great ending to The Heirs Series wrapping it up with Alex's book!
Alex is our FMC who is as strong as she is stubborn. She has been at the helm of her late fathers empire and there are some who aren't happy about it.
Hawk is a bodyguard/security guy who is hired to protect Alex! Hawk has his own dark past that it causing him to lose sleep.
I have been loving romantic suspense allot lately. Hawk and Alex had great chemistry and I thought helped each other through past trauma!!! And the ending had me mind blown! It's always the quiet ones😳
Thank you NetGally for meeting me read this ARC! I world recommend this book for sure💖

A bodyguard novel! Sign me up. And a bodyguard novel from Catherine Bybee. Even better. This is the third and final book in The Heirs series. I’ve loved the sibling bond and togetherness of this series as well as the touch of mystery in each story. Each sibling brings their own unique talents to the business and family dynamics which has made this series a must read.
Alex Stone has found herself as the CEO of her late father’s hotel empire, sacrificing her old business to take over. She is a no nonsense workaholic with no time for dating. She often puts on a brave face and tends to put herself last. She and her brothers have worked tirelessly to keep the business thriving and the board happy despite nefarious characters working against them. In a series of events, Alex finds herself the object of threats and in need of protection.
Enter Hawk Bronson, security expert and bodyguard. Hawk too is a workaholic but also a protector and caretaker. He sees through Alex’s strong facade and finds himself wanting to break his own no dating rules to provide more than just protection.
Hawk and Alex were romantic suspense perfection. They had some great banter as their story unfolded. And both had a few personal issues to work through before they could reach their HEA but no issues that could keep them away from each other forever. In fact they were drawn together like magnets with lots of sparks flying.
This was the perfect final book in this series. It wrapped up all the questions from the previous books while giving the reader a gripping story. I loved the sibling bond and how they all supported each other. I’m really going to miss this series.
Thanks to NetGalley, Montlake and Catherine Bybee for this ARC opportunity.

I just love this series, the characters, the writing and the surprises that pop up. This book 3 did not disappoint.
I love how each book centers on one sibling but in the end you are getting to see what’s going on with everyone.
While you don’t need to read the books in order, it’s definitely nice to have some of the back story even though it’s easily added in, in each book.
I had both the audiobook and book to read but mostly listened to it. As always the narrator, Meg Sylvan,is perfect for this series.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the audio and ebook

No More Yesterdays is the third book in The Heirs series. I read the first and missed the second one. Not sure how that happened, but this was a fantastic follow up in the series.
This story picks up where the second book ends. After taking stock of the company's holdings, Alex informs her brothers that changes need to be announced at the next board meeting. A bomb threat during the meeting changes everything as Alex becomes the target.
Hawk Bronson is hired to investigate the bomb threat and protect Alex. As the threats continue Hawk becomes emotionally involved. Hawk feels their connection is beyond bodyguard and he should keep his distance. But his nightmares put her at risk which threaten their future.
Alex and Hawk must face their deepest fears and fight for a future together. But first, they’ll need to discover who is behind the threats.
I really enjoyed this series. It was fast paced with high energy and lots of drama. The relationship with-in the family as they supported one another was wonderfully written. I highly recommend this book as well as the series.

Very enjoyable. Catherine Bybee completes ‘The Heirs’ series with this third novel. I would suggest reading the previous two books in order, but if you are reading as a stand alone there is adequate catching up on the characters. The series revolves around the heirs of Aaron Stone. He ran a multibillion dollar hotel empire but was estranged from his three children. Chase and half brother Max found love in the first two novels. I have been waiting for younger sister Alex’s chance at romance.
While the three siblings have all taken on some of the workload the bulk has fallen on Alex’s shoulders as CEO. She had previously worked for a competing hotel empire and was more prepared for the challenges. But things are never smooth and someone is still out to cause problems with the company and there are threats specifically towards Alex. Enter security expert Hawk Bronson. He is working security on the night someone tries to grab Alex. Soon he is brought on to increase security for the company headquarters and for Alex as well.
There are a lot of twists and turns in the plot, throwing a nice amount of suspense into the romance. The book also finishes up a couple of ongoing storylines that carry through the three stories. The pace felt steady and the story moved along quickly. I wish there was a little more family time but all the previous mains get appearances.

I am big fan of Catherine Bybee's books. Somehow, I always seem to read them during difficult times in my life. Back in 2022 when my husband had a big surgery, Iread the first of The D'Angelo family series, When It Falls Apart. It helped me get throught the long wait through his surgery and then the several days of his hospitalization. I just finished reading No More Yesterdays the (3rd installment of The Heirs series). We've been mourning the death of our 14 yr old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, "my Baby girl"! Ms. Bybee'smost recent book allowed me to escape the grief and become absorbed in the intrigue of The Stone family and the love story of Alex and Hawk! Her characters become real, as one reads and the reader becomes completely invested in the storyline and characters. Ms. Bybee, thank you for being a port in storm for me. I always look forward to your new release and absolutely love each and every one of your books! A big thanks to NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion!

I’m sad this series is over! Alex gets her HEA! Hawk is a bodyguard that saved Alex from a bad situation. He reaches out to warn her and ends up becoming her bodyguard while figuring out who is out to get her.
I love the romance and the intrigue and the way all the siblings come together to support each other. Bybee knows how to write great stories and I will never tire of reading whatever she gives us.
Thanks to the publisher for a review copy via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Catherine Bybee writes fantastic books, all unmissable and all great reads. This book is the third in a series but can be read as a stand-alone.
The story follows the Stone family and their empire, which could be taken as quickly as it was given to them, by their late father.
The characters share a strong bond and sense of family, unlike that given from their own father. The complexities of corporate life is tested, lives are threatened and romance comes from an unlikely source, all the while the search is on for a murderer!
The story flows at a nice pace and gives the reader a lot to think about and enjoy. I highly recommend this book and this author, so many books to enjoy!
Thank you to Montlake, NetGalley and the fabulous Catherine Bybee for the opportunity to read and review an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I received an ARC copy from Netgalley for an honest review. Catherine Bybee strikes again with this one. As the 3rd opus in the series it is comforting with well known characters and a suspenseful action story.
I was not so confident about that but I was proven wrong.

I didn't think it was possible to love the Stone siblings more ... but I was wrong! The final installment of The Heirs trilogy has Bybee wrapping this family even more around her reader's heart as Chase and Max show their love and concern for their sister time and again. Alexandrea has had the weight of the world on her shoulders for many months now and it's beginning to take it's toll when danger comes knocking. The characters are endearing and super easy to like, the drama of their father's will and surprise brother folds right into where this book picks up with ease and suspense and the love the siblings honestly feel for each other shows around every turn. I loved the addition of super protective Hawk to the mix and being there every step of the way as he and Alex fell in love. I'm sorry to see our time with this group end, but I highly enjoyed every minute of their stories. Great characters, dramatic plots and spot on happily ever afters. Highly recommend the series!

No More Yesterdays by Catherine Bybee is the third and last book in the Heir’s Series. Once again the Stone siblings closed ranks to find what or who is after them. Alex has taken over the enterprise that their father left them. Her brothers are helping her, but they are also responsible for other parts of the businesses.
Much to Alex’s surprise a bomb threat is called in. The building where all the siblings work is searched, and an unknown bag was found under her car. Hawk Bronson is hired to help investigate and keep Alex safe. She is not happy with the new restrictions on her life.
Alex and Hawk are HOT together. I love how the siblings work together to sort out the various clues. I enjoyed the byplay of the various characters with each other and how supportive they are of each other.
I have loved this series. No More Yesterdays is a wonderful wrap up of the series. I am bummed the series is complete, but looking forward to whatever comes next. No More Yesterdays by Catherine Bybee is a great read.

I love Catherine Bybee stories. This was the third book of the series and wrapped up all the mysteries. Alex was guarded by Hawk (who she called her Viking). - Can't you just picture him?? The death of her father left some mysteries that kept cropping up. The stepmother was thought to be guilty but they really didn't care what money or things she got. Her husband had shafted her when he died and the kids started to feel sorry for her. Hawk and Alex had such great chemistry and they fought it but eventually gave in. I was a little surprised at the culprit behind some of the problems, but they took care of it quickly
I got this book from the NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review

Ever since her father died and Alexandria Stone and her brothers instantly became billionaires, her life has been a roller-coaster of responsibilities and emotions. Struggling to juggle everything on her plate, including physical threats on her life, she reluctantly agrees to accept a personal bodyguard. Fireworks spark between them as they try to fight off their growing attraction.
This is the first book by Catherine Bybee that I've read. As the third book in the Heirs series, I missed out on her brothers' stories so hope to go back and read them. Fast-paced and filled with both suspense and romance, it is a great beach read. Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake publishing for the Advance Reader Copy, I thoroughly enjoyed No More Yesterdays.
