The fact that this novel takes place in Norway made me want to read it immediately and I wasn't disappointed. Its twisty, suspenseful an wholly unpredictable. Just what I like in a thriller. Top notch! Had a great time reading it and didn't ever want to put it down!

Will keep you guessing till the end”
I started this book and was dragged into the main character’s life. The clues build up, even the title is a clue…..but! This book will give you shocks and twists and it’s got a real urgency to it. Absolutely fantastic.

An interesting storyline but somehow it didn’t quite ring true to me and the characters were a bit “flaky”. However, there was a twist In the tale that I didn’t see coming. So, overall an enjoyable read

"The Serial Killer's Party" is a captivating read! It masterfully blends a touch of glamour with a thrilling abundance of dark, twisty drama, keeping me on the edge of my seat until the very end. The author skillfully weaves a complex narrative that is both engaging and suspenseful.

This was fast paced thriller, ,a little over the top but enjoyable if you just go with it. A woman changes her whole life in a year to infiltrate a party for the rich and powerful. Set in Norway, it was a locked room mystery with plenty of unlikeable characters.

Easy to read in a single sitting, a fun, twisty thriller. 3.5 stars

Let me start by saying this book was not what I expected based on the title. I expected a completely different book and maybe that's on me for presuming.

I felt Amelia's character was really well developed. We feel her worry for her sister, despite the police dismissing it. We share in her hope and determination to find her sister. The other characters get drawn out purposely to add to the mystery. We see them through Amelia's eyes so to us they are all suspects.

It's set in the beautiful fjords of Norway, which I felt was a fantastic backdrop for this book. I could imagine the idyllic picturesque scenes. The Fowley estate made it an even more isolated setting, adding to that locked door mystery. It gave that helpless, claustrophobic feeling where the characters are trapped.

The lavish party sets the tone of privilege, and how the rich can get away with anything no matter who gets hurt. Money really can cover up any mess.

I really enjoyed the authors writing style. The twists surprised me. I do feel that the why was not fully explored. This is a main piece that was missing and left it feeling unresolved for me.

Although it wasn't what I expected, it was still a good thriller/mystery and I enjoyed reading it. 3.75 rounded up.

This is perfect for fans of The Perfect Couple and White Lotus.

Thank you Transworld, Penguin for this advanced copy.

Wow, hooked on this book!!!

Amy’s writing captured my attention and had me wanting more.

I’d say the chapters were around mid length but you hardly noticed because you’re so engrossed in reading.
Oh and the cliffhangers 😳 I couldn’t put the book down!

I loved Amelia’s character and everything she’s gone through to find out about her sister’s disappearance.

Another one where I kind of had my suspects in mind and turned out to be correct but the twists and turns to find out the why were surprising.

Single POV from Amelia but the story is so well written you don’t feel like you’re missing anything. Certainly added to the twists not hearing from anyone else.

I haven’t read anything by Amy before but I certainly will be reading more from now on!

Thank you to Netgalley, the author and publisher for an ARC of the book in exchange for my honest review.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Amelia travels to Norway to a luxury party in the hope of finding what happened to her sister who disappeared a year ago. But once there bad things start to happen and Amelia wonders if she will ever escape.

I liked the sound of this one as it seemed like it would be a fun mystery and I also liked the cover. This ended up a solid thriller with plenty of twists and turns. I really enjoyed the Norwegian setting and the author did a great job at making you feel a part of the atmosphere.

The characters were written well, especially Amelia where I could really understand her turmoil. Saying that, I found I didn’t quite connect to them. I also found it a slow start, however it started to pick up as the story got going. This was an entertaining thriller overall and would make a great holiday read. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this copy in return for an honest review.

The Serial Killer’s Party was slick, stylish and sensational. It made for great summer reading with this toxic nightmare of obsession, privilege and abuse of power.

Cunningham ensnares you with that hooky, devastating first chapter as Amelia’s life starts to fall apart. From there, you are caught up in this glamorous and dangerous pursuit of revenge at any cost needed. Amelia is single-minded in her pursuit of the truth and vengeance. It is a fascinating headspace to be in, constantly paranoid and playing a different role depending on who she was interacting with. She is earmarked as an outsider in this world of extreme wealth but has to try and blend in to pursue her ultimate goal. It is captivating and you are rooting for her to succeed against the odds. Cunningham weaves a wonderful psychological thriller around her that is relentless. The tension constantly goes up a notch and the stakes climb even higher as new information comes to light and certain actions are played. It is a wonderful game to witness unfold. This was packed full of twists and turns with a final act that has stuck in my mind long after the final page.

Cunningham creates a wonderful tale here, told with flair and style that kept you nervously turning the pages. I enjoyed how cinematic it felt with lush descriptions of the natural beauty of the setting contrasting the excess and debauchery of these wild parties. You felt the intrusion of this on the land and the people with some interesting subplots around the workers in this web. Amelia cares deeply for those she encounters that have faced hardships and yet is willing to discard them for her goal. Sometimes, you are questioning how far she might go and what truly seperates her from the monstrosity of those she is pursuing. It is morally murky territory and adds layers to the story.

The Serial Killer’s Party is the definition of an up-all-night thriller as Cunningham leads you down the rabbit hole into this gilded cage of power and privilege. Add this book to your shelves now because it is not one to miss.

The Serial Killer’s Party is a tense, addictive thriller that pulls you into a world of luxury, secrets, and danger. Set at a billionaire’s private party in a remote Norwegian location, the story follows Amelia as she investigates her sister’s disappearance, only to uncover a dark web of lies and shocking truths.

I loved how the glamorous setting contrasted with the creeping sense of dread. The pacing was spot on, with twists landing at just the right moments to keep me hooked. The single POV worked well here, making you second-guess what Amelia sees and hears, and the final reveal genuinely surprised me.

It’s the kind of book you fly through in a couple of sittings, dark, dramatic, and full of tension. If you enjoy locked-room mysteries with a modern, high-stakes edge, this one’s worth picking up.

The Serial Killer's Party was an adrenaline filled thriller full of suspense, mystery, drama, secrets, lies, and betrayal. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I was drawn in immediately, I honestly couldn't put it down.

Amelia was a great main character. She was interesting, charismatic, smart, and strong.
Lawrence, Ford, and James were all interesting characters, too.

This is the first book I've read from Amy Cunningham, but it definitely won't be the last. I look forward to seeing what she comes up with next.

The Serial Killer's Party was well a written and twisty read. I thought I had it figured out, but I was totally wrong. There were several twists that I really didn't see coming at all. I was shocked by the last twist, especially.

For fans of Sandie Jones, Ruth Kelly, Samantha Downing, and JP Delaney.

I highly recommend.

4 stars from me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This one definitely shows the darker side of luxury — glitz hides rot, and everyone’s got a secret. Glamorous chaos with a dark pulse.

This book is the first I have read by this author.
It was a good read.
We get to know the character Amelia who's sister Rose disappeared. Amelia find a clue as to who may have been the last person to see Rose. She starts dating a cousin of that guy in the hopes that she can get close to the man.
It gets pretty gripping when you see what danger Amelia puts herself in, to find out what happened to Rose.
This book is a must read for psychological thriller fans.

Lana is invited to a party in Norway, which is being hosted by a billionaire who is linked to several murders, including that of lana's sister. While at the party someone dies suspiciously, so lana has to decide on whether or not she keeps fighting for her sister, or if she is a target and a to protect herself. The host Lawrence is a real jekyll and hyde character, he has one persona for the public and another in private.
One thing you become aware of is justice and privilege and how people like Lawrence use their wealth and power to protect themselves from any wrongdoing, then you have the victims and their families, like Lana, who dont have the money or power and instead have to fight multiple inequalities in order to get some sort of justice.
The book was a great read and has alot of twists and turns.

When Amelia's sister, Rose, goes missing and the only clue to her disappearance is an invite to an annual and very exclusive party thrown by the wealthy Fowley family, Amelia knows what she needs to do. She needs to get an invite to this year's party to find out what happened to her sister, and to get her revenge. Even if it means faking her whole life to get there.

Like many thrillers, I didn't know who to trust. The Fowley family have many a rich and colourful character. Amelia is a likeable protagonist and a reliable and relatable narrator.

I love the Norwegian setting. The isolation and locked-room-style really add to the story. The party scenes are vibrant and the ending is great!

I enjoyed the book and was invested in the story but it felt quite slow and, unfortunately it isn't anything new. If you're a fan of How to Kill Your Family by Bella Mackie and Sweetpea by C. J. Skuse, and are looking for a low-stakes, twisty thriller that will keep you guessing, this is it!

It’s the party of the year, set in Norway, hosted by millionaire Lawrence Fowley. You're invited to this luxury event as a plus one as your boyfriend is also a Fowley, you take this opportunity to look at uncovering their deepest, darkest secrets, maybe even a murder or two. Will you uncover theirs first or will they find yours? How far will you go to find out where your sister is?

When thinking of this book the main words that come to mind are dark and twisted. Each time I thought I had it figured out another development put a spanner in the works. I really enjoyed getting to know Amelia and found myself emotionally invested in finding her sister Rose.

I would recommend this gripping thriller to anyone looking for an easy to read, dark mystery full of twists.

Thank you to NetGalley and Random House for offering this ARC in exchange for my personal thoughts.

This was a tense, for me quick to read, enjoyable quirky book

Amelia goes to the Norwegian Fjords to a billionaires party to try and trace her Sister Rose and discovers all kinds of characters and parties and events and the whole thing tumbles into a rare fast paced adventure that once started kept reading as wanted to find out just what Amelia would discover

The pacing was superb as was the writing and I more than loved to hate some of the guests/characters we met…I felt like I was there in Norway and a part of proceedings

I will say the ending surprised me and was done really well

First time reading this author and I will look at the previous books as really enjoyed the style of writing and story

The book was so unpredictable and twisted. It kept me on the edge. Lana is looking for her sister’s killer but when the killer strikes again and someone else is found dead. Lana was invited to an event hosted in Norway. Lane went there for revenge yet things take a dark turn and it brings her own life at stake. Each character had a secret and the plot was so gripping. I liked the revelations and twists at the end.
