Eloise Montgomery is having the worst day of her life. She wakes up late one morning and that sets the stage for everything else. When she realizes she has a doctor appointment, she jumps in the passenger seat of the car with her husband and their two teenage daughters. This was a last-minute action that changes the rest of her life. She awakes after six weeks in a coma to find her family was in an accident. Now she hears whispers. She then helps police with a missing girl because of the whispers.

The book is short, the characters are somewhat developed, and it is written in the third person point of view. The book is listed as a mystery & thriller but there isn’t a real mystery except for her visions. The book was an interesting read, and I am curious to see what is in store for Eloise in the future.

This was a short story, but kept me interested! Tragedy in the life of the main character gives the gift of psychic visions. She finds a way to use these to live past the painful experiences she’s dealt with.

2.5 stars, rounded up
I love Unger's regular mystery/thrillers, but this one is too supernatural/paranormal for me. The author does create a great sense of atmosphere and suspense, so I upgraded for her writing skills.
Fortunately it's short.

This was my first exposure to anything having to do with The Hollows series and, honestly, I still have no idea what the series is about. But I enjoyed this short story. It's hard to get a reader to care about characters in a short, but I thought Unger did a great job of it. I'm also interested enough to go find out what the rest of the series is about.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for hooking me up!

A good story overall but very wordy and could have been half the length and still covered the relevant parts. I thought it was a murder mystery but seemed to be a teen romance.. Disappointing.

I did not complete this book, it wasn’t a good fit for me. I will not be rating or reviewing this title. Thank you for the opportunity.

She is on her way to recover, while she still needs to be there for her other daughter.

In order for her life to move forward, she must confront and deal with her new psychic abilities and use them to help others.

This was a very interesting story of Eloise Montgomery finding out that she has physic gifts after she endures a terrible tragedy. The novella was very interesting and super short.
