Im late with my review of this one, but it seems fitting that it is my first review of Pride Month!
Thank you to @netgalley and Wildfire publishing for the e-arc.
With an academic setting in Edinburgh, Scotland, this called to me from the start. On a scholarship to Uni in the old city, Brodie really needs to work hard and stay focused, which becomes hard after an attack in the uni's library.
When Brodie meets Nova, the story picks up, and while there are some interesting plot twists, I did feel that it fragged a little in places. It was, however, as fun sapphic werewolf story! #ikissedawerewolfandilikedit #sapphicromance #werewolromance

I’m not sure if I actually enjoyed this one or not, the jury is still out but I was entertained so I stuck with it and finished the book. I felt the ending was slightly predictable - I feel as though I am good at predicting the endings of books though 😭
The story follows uni student Brodie as she settles into her first year in uni, she’s struggling to find herself and keep up the straight A student she once was. Loads of things happen and her relationships are tested. It’s just loads of miscommunication and it’s very frustrating to read! Very diverse and inclusive character range along with lots of sex - Just feels very flat as though it’s trying to hard to please everyone!

This book was really fun at first, I feel the humour comes through very well, but the story could have done a bit more just to hit the right way with me, but couple fun wee twists along the way though!

I enjoyed this and loved Amber. It's nice to read something with a little bit of spice, rather than it being full on. I do enjoy a bit of spice but think this level was perfect for my tastes. It was a bit of a wild ride and different to what I have read before but I was shocked that I devoured it.

Unfortunately, I struggled to get into this one. It's possibly as I'm not in the mood for this sort of book, though, so I had to DNF. I may try this one again in the future, but for now, it just wasn't for me.

Big thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for this eARC!
What to expect:
- paranormal sapphic romance
- college setting
- traumatic pasts
- found family
- steamy & passionate
I got into 50% of the book and then had to DNF. I just wasn't that interested, it was all too chaotic and the buildup was all over the place.
I wasn't invested, I didn't find any character likeable, and overall, I found the plot too jumpy.

I was so excited for this and it did not disappoint. I absolutely loved the characters, it had great tropes too for me.

We join Brodie, who is in her first year at Uni. As she is there on scholarship, she needs to knuckle down and do well. and she has to do this whilst being haunted by the memories of her sister..
However, after a strange attack in the library, Brodie finds herself leaning into her animal instincts
Meeting Nova and her pack will change it all for Brodie, but at what cost..

Out 08 May so definitely pick up if you like a wee werewolf romance
Thanks to NetGalley and Headline/Wildfire for the review copy, all opinions my own

1 star
as a romance reader, I was very disappointed because this was at most instalust. That and the fact that the plot was messy and the romance only started around 40ish percent. I seriously didn't love it.
I'm very sad because I really wanted to love this one.
thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

🌶️ 3/5
For a steamy sapphic paranormal romance, the ‘romance’ was severely lacking - the main love interests barely cross paths until the 50% mark!!
Honestly, it felt that the romance was secondary to a narrative on loss and grief and while yes, there is a lot of sex in this book, almost none of it was romantic… or ‘steamy’
The book starts with the MC getting her period in the middle of receiving oral sex, at which point the guy going down on her passes out at the sight of her blood - Nothing about that screams sexy and every sexual encounter afterwards just felt uncomfortable.
I think it would be more truthful to say that this book is a quirky paranormal lit fic with feminist undertones - it’s not a paranormal romance, not really.
False advertising aside, this book just wasn’t for me - the pacing seemed off, the story was really rough around the edges and the end left a bad taste in my mouth. I can appreciate the vision, and if you enjoy lit fic you might enjoy this (? Maybe) but I myself was not a fan.
Thank you to NetGalley and Headline for sending me this eARC in exchange for my honest review.
All opinions are my own.

A bit of a quirky werewolf romance novel. A touch confusing at times and I didn't really bond with the main characters but a fun light read, good to see a lack of testosterone in a werewolf novel for a change!

3.75 rounded up to 4.
I’m not sure how to describe this book but what I can say is its entertaining, has excellent humor and includes a found family element which is something I always enjoy.
I was struggling to understand the plot of this book, I felt that it was a little chaotic and I couldn't find a clear plot point. I think this is why the pacing was a little off for me, I got through the first 30% really quickly and then things started to slow down a little.
The spice was good. I found the random little scenes with strangers a little uncomfortable but when we got to the relationship with Nova and the will they/won't they plot line I was definitely enjoying it. Saying this, you do have to wait for it as it’s definitely more of a slow slow-burn.
More info on the paranormal/werewolf aspects of world would have been nice, I think the fact that one of her friends happened to be a werewolf was a little convenient but I think it worked out alright for the story in the end.
Tropes/themes - Paranormal, sapphic, found family, trauma, will they won’t they.
Thank you to the publisher for an eARC of this book. All thoughts are my own.

I enjoyed the book as a little refresher, it wasn't the most perfectly written plot wise but I enjoyed it enough to finish it, and I'll be picking up Cat's next book

unfortunately i think im going to dnf this title for the time being. i had issues with the formatting (which would not have been a big issue!) but the disconnect in writing did not compel me to pick this up and it may just not be the book for me :(
however, if you are looking for a sapphic paranormal romance this was the perfect story to find a palette cleansing romance 💞

Unfortunately, I did not enjoy reading this book. It sounded promising but it fell flat. The plot is quite messy and weak. There were way too many random sex scenes out of nowhere, and they threw me off. The main character was a brat, and unlikeable. Autumn was the only okay character, even though I didn’t like her at the beginning very much. And there was nothing romantic in this book. It is insta-lusty and barely existant.
At least the writing was good and it was quick to read. But it was a disappointing read.
Thank you to Netgalley for an e-ARC in exchange for a honest review.

This book was so bad I couldn't even get through chapter 2. Badly written, bad layout (no paragraphs, dialogue spaces, etc.), and no buildup whatsoever. Don't know whose POV I'm reading, don't know we're in a paranormal world, don't even know which part of the world we're supposed to be at. Nope, this ain't it, moving on.

I feel like this is the beginning of a series. Impending war with the Norse Army (we know who/what you are 🤐)!!! And zi can't wait for more 💜 💜💜

This book is an absolute delight—fun, fast-paced, and full of charm! A fresh and witty take on supernatural romance with plenty of heart and humour. If you love quirky paranormal stories, this one’s a must-read!

This was a funny, dark, page turning tale of a young woman who was trying to find herself. The main character, Brodie, was struggling to come to terms with the death of her sister when they were children, navigating grief, and living independently at university as a queer woman. Brodie was well drawn and I felt embroiled in her grief and love and wanted to know how her story would pan out. The story whipped along, and was very funny in places, but also poignant.

This book is a wild ride, a steamy paranormal romance that delivers all the tension, angst, and supernatural thrills you crave! Brodie’s struggle with grief and guilt adds layers to her character, making her journey of transformation both emotional and physical all the more compelling. The connection between the two characters is irresistible and full of tension, and the question of whether this dangerous bond is love or a trap only makes it more intoxicating. If you’re a fan of sapphic steamy, angst-filled paranormal romances with a bit of danger, suspense, and sizzling chemistry, this is the perfect book to sink your teeth into!
