This was so well done and had that conspiracy element that I was hoping for and enjoyed from the description and storyline. The characters felt like they belonged in this world and was engaged with what happened with them. Joe Rothstein wrote this well and enjyoed the overall concept.

Thanks to NetGalley and Gold Standard Publications for the digital copy of this book; I am leaving my review voluntarily.

Originally released in 2016 before the election, The Latina President... reveals many parts of the election process and how our country is run. If anything, it shows why and how it's so hard for women in the United States to become successful and powerful in the world of politics. All the scheming and backstabbing and abject misogyny in the country is played out in this book, and it's just so depressing to read.

It's a very good book, but what's going on in it seems quaint compared to what's happening in the United States today.
