๐—ค๐˜‚๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ธ ๐˜๐—ฎ๐—ธ๐—ฒ:

I have to start this review with a huge thank you to NetGalley, Orion and Bailey Hannah for making my entire year with this arc ๐Ÿคญ Not to be dramatic but no one writes cowboys like Bailey does, the Wells Ranch series is by far my favourite cowboy romance series of all time - so if you havenโ€™t read itโ€ฆ well what the hell are you doing? Go now!

Okay so Change of Hart; second chance isnโ€™t my favourite trope but THIS is how you do it ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป There was no pointless third act breakup, no messing around once Denny and Blair came back together, just pure cuteness and rebuilding ๐Ÿ™‚โ€โ†•๏ธ I bloody loved it.

๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿป Blair - this woman is incredible, with so much on her plate (moving back to Wells Canyon, looking after her poorly mum, working, helping Cass out with baby Hazel, helping her sister out with Jonas, the list is endless). After the huge and heartbreaking decision she made when her and Denny were together as teens, Iโ€™m so glad she got her happily ever after. Sheโ€™s a badassโ€ฆ with a filthy mouth ๐Ÿ‘„โœจ

๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿป Denver - the definition of a man down bad. Blair could quite literally walk him like a dog and heโ€™d bark a thank you. His backstory and childhood had me sobbing on multiple occasions, my poor baby. The way Denny adored Blair, worshipped the ground she walked on, and fought for her both as a teen and a man, when she came home 14 years later - UGH. He has a heart of gold ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿฅน

The fact we got to spend time with Austin, Cecily, Chase, Cass and the rest of the fam again made my heart so happy. God I missed them, it felt so good to be home ๐Ÿค ๐Ÿด

The only thing I noticed, which was very minor and didnโ€™t bother me that much, was that the storyline got mixed up. Blair broke her ankle when her horse slipped and she fell off whilst barrel racing in the arena, her horse stood on her ankle. Later on in the book it said she broke her ankle when she was out riding in the storm and was thrown from Sandy (the horse she was riding) but that didnโ€™t happen. Itโ€™s a minor error in the plot, but I did notice it!

DENNY NOT CALLING BLAIR AS SOON AS THE STORM HIT WHEN SHE WAS OUT RIDING.

I had a good time reading this, I love a good cowboy romance and the atmosphere and setting were well written, second chance romance isnโ€™t usually my favourite trope unless itโ€™s done insanely well but in this case it wasnโ€™t as good as I wanted it to be.

A fantastic cowboy romance. Just the right amount of heat, turmoil and heartache. I loved the dual timeline that gave the depth to the story, a great way to fill everything in. A great read.

A million stars.

Blair and Denver are heartbreaking and wholesome and messy perfection. What an absolutely amazing second chance romance ๐Ÿ˜ญ

This book had me sobbing and feeling so hard for both Denny and Blair. Bailey Hannah tackles such difficult topics like ill parents, grief, and mental health with such tact and grace.

I adored the concurrent writing of the timelines where we got to slowly understand what drove them apart as kids and what brought them back together as adults. Ugh I have no words.

4 โญ๏ธ I am so happy I got this ARC!

Okay, let me just sayโ€”this book completely won me over, and Iโ€™m not even usually a fan of second-chance romances. But Denny and Blair? Theyโ€™re THE way to do a second-chance romance right. Their story is messy, heartfelt, and so beautifully written that I couldnโ€™t help but root for them every step of the way... except maybe a little bit at the beginning cause Denny felt like a player (and eww). The way their past is woven into the story, into their present, with all the pain, longing, and unresolved feelings, made their journey feel authentic and deeply satisfying.

The story itself feels complete in the best way possible. Itโ€™s long, but not in a dragging, โ€œwhen will this end?โ€ kind of wayโ€”more like an โ€œI never want this to endโ€ kind of way. Thereโ€™s so much depth to the plot, with layers of family drama, personal growth, and emotional healing that itโ€™s impossible not to get invested. And the family dynamics?! Theyโ€™re heartbreaking in the most beautiful way. The relationships between the characters are so real and raw that theyโ€™ll stick with you long after youโ€™ve finished reading.

This book is my first dip into this world, but I can already tell it wonโ€™t be my last. Iโ€™m so curious about the other characters and their stories, and I canโ€™t wait to dive deeper into this universe. The author has created something truly special here, and Iโ€™m officially hooked.

Thank you so much to NetGalley for the eARC! Getting to read this early was such a treat, and Iโ€™m so glad I took the chance on it. If youโ€™re looking for a second-chance romance thatโ€™s emotional, steamy, and utterly unforgettable, this is it. Denny and Blairโ€™s story is one you wonโ€™t want to miss.

๐ŸŒถ๏ธ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ/5 - The spice is there, and itโ€™s good, but itโ€™s the emotional connection that really makes the intimate moments shine. Itโ€™s steamy, but itโ€™s also deeply meaningful, which is exactly how it should be in a story like this.

Thank you so much for NetGalley for the ARC <3

This was one of my most anticipated reads of the year after loving the first two books in the Well's Ranch series, and Change of Hart did NOT disappoint!! Blair and Denny are just totally delicious, they were real people with real issues and their history was done perfectly (sometimes I find with second chance romances the reason for the initial breakup is super trivial and it puts me off a little bit). I loved watching them fall back in love and seeing all the characters stories at Well's ranch progress too.

On a more personal note, I sobbed my heart out at this book as it also hit a little close home for me but was done in such a way I was crying my eyes out one minute and giggling at Denny the next. It was the perfect mix of highs and lows and will definitely be one of my soul books fr ๐Ÿซฐ๐Ÿผ

Always loved a good second chance story and did not disappoint!
Can't wait for what comes next!

Change The Hart
By Bailey Hannah

โ™พ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ
If I can give 10 stars I would!!

Change the Hart completely captivated me from beginning to end, and I canโ€™t stop thinking about Blair and Denver. It's a second-chance romance with a dual timeline that beautifully unravels their past. The emotional depth of the story, filled with heartbreak, grief, and loss, left me truly moved. Blair and Dennyโ€™s journey was so raw and real, and I just wanted to give them both the biggest hugs.

They fell in love young and were ready to face the world together, but one decision tore them apart. Blair avoided Denny whenever she returned to town, and Denny never truly moved on, turning to a player lifestyle. But when Blair moves back home again, Denny gets hurt in typical fashionโ€”falling off his horseโ€”and he's determined not to let her slip away again.

Blair is a strong, independent woman who carries a heavy load, as the oldest daughter, and I completely related to her struggle to ask for help. It was so rewarding to see her let down her guard and allow Denver to support her. I admired her humor, her selflessness, and the way she grew throughout the story.

As for Denver, heโ€™s the perfect hero funny, strong, caring, and loving. His grief is palpable, and his journey of growth really tugged at my heart. I loved how dedicated he was to those he cared about, and his depth as a character was so well done. The man is a reformed playboy, a cowboy, and someone whoโ€™ll do anything to win back the love of his life, and his humor made me smile through every chapter.

This is a beautiful small-town, second-chance romance with high school sweethearts, a barrel racer and bronc rider, dual timelines, themes of grief, and a lot of pining that will break your heart in the best way. If you're a fan of emotional, deeply moving love stories, this one is a must-read!

I have been looking forward to Denver's book for quite some time now and it definitely didn't disappoint. While it wasn't anywhere near as spicy as SEEING RED, I think the absolute raw emotion that bled out of this book more than made up for it. I was a complete wreck in parts and my heart absolutely broke for Denny and Blair. Bailey Hannah's writing gets better and better with each book and I would be more than happy if she continued the Wells Ranch series forever.

This was so cute. This is the third book in the series and it's childhood best friends to lovers to strangers to lovers. And honestly Bailey absolutely smashed this out the part. Blair Wells had to return home to support her dad as her mum got alzhemier dementia. Denver is the local non committed cowboy but when Blair comes back he 100% focus on her.

This book is perfection. Denny is literally every eldest daughterโ€™s dream man. I am convinced that Bailey can do no wrong and her books are always masterpieces!

Rip my heart out, why don't you!?

I love Denver and Blair separately and together. They have so much love for each other. Even 14 years apart didn't change that.

Denver is cheeky, flirty, and just plain adorable. It's no wonder Blair never stopped loving him. Who would!? But his jokes and banter can be a facade for the hurt he hides.

Blair is such a strong FMC. Dealing with her mum's diagnosis as well as her own issues with her mental health, she is returning to a town where her first (and only) love lives, and she has heard the stories of the playboy life he leads.

This is a Second Chance romance with so much angst and love. What they went through together, and then apart, will rip your heart out. But Bailey Hannah does put it back together for us.

Tropes:
โ–ช Second Chance
โ–ช Dual Timeline
โ–ช Reformed Playboy
โ–ช High School Sweethearts
โ–ช Cowboy/ Barrel Racer
โ–ช Friends to Lovers

โ–ช Check Trigger Warnings โ–ช

I've been waiting for this book forever and it absolutely didn't disappoint! I struggled with the choice of reading it all quickly and it being done or savouring it for days! I savoured every page of this book and it went down a treat! I loved the dual timeline and being able to see how their realtionship has grown and changed!

Blair is back in her hometown and she definitely doesn't want to see Denver, her first love, so when he falls right back into her life, can they pick up where they left off?

I will be the first to admit that a couple of these Tropes aren't for me, friends to lovers and second chance, but Bailey always smashes it out of the park! I absolutely loved this book and it was so nice to go back to Wells Canyon! Definitely recommend this entire series!

Blair Hart and Denver Wells have my whole entire heart. This book made me so emotional ๐Ÿฅน It was second chance done perfectly! I loved the dual timeline and seeing how their relationship started out ๐Ÿฅน

Blair and Denver both show such amazing personal growth throughout the book. Denver Wells will be sky rocketing to the top of everyoneโ€™s book boyfriend list. Heโ€™s caring, kind, patient and so attentive to Blair and her needs. The way he nurtures and cares for her had me tearing up ๐Ÿ˜ญ

This book is full of second chances, emotional vulnerability, and steamy moments that will have you hooked from the first page. If you love angsty romance where the characters are both flawed and lovable, and where the tension between them builds until you canโ€™t stand it, this is definitely one for your list.

The Wells Ranch Series is one of my favourite cowboy series. Each book is about a different brother (or close friend) and up until now, Alive & Wells was my favourite book because it was grumpy x sunshine trope, well, not anymore. Change of Hart is the best book in the series (in my opinion)!!!

The main trope is โ€œchildhood loversโ€ and the story follows Denver โ€œDennyโ€ Wells - the youngest Wells sibling. Denny is the cheeky, flirty cowboy with the playboy personality however throughout the story we see what led to this persona. Blair is a strong FMC. She is strong willed, independent and a big people pleaser.

Itโ€™s clear Dennyโ€™s love language is touch and acts of service - he wants to PROVE that he is the man Blair needs him to be now. Blair is scared, she knew how things were years ago and she doesnโ€™t want to get heartbroken again.

I really liked the flashback chapters - Baileyโ€™s writing never feels rushed and is very detailed and this was proven within the adolescent chapters. The mannerisms and actions that the MCโ€™s did during these scenes were perfect and exactly what a teen would think. The flashbacks allow us to see how Denny and Blair were childhood sweethearts and what led to the end of their relationship.

I also really liked that we saw what life was like for the Wells family when Lucy - Dennyโ€™s mum - was still around. From the first book, we know she passed away many years ago so to actually see what she was like and how she cared for Denny and Blairโ€™s relationship is so wonderful. The way her illness is written was beautiful. Having had family members with the same illness and same fate I really connected to what Denny was feeling.

Bailey had me crying SEVERAL times within this story, both with the present AND past chapters. I think you know a story is good when you really connect to the characters, this was evident in the puddles of tears I created! My favourite moment was the last few chapters at the tree๐Ÿ˜ญ.

I DEVOURED this story and cannot wait for the Wells Ranch series to continue. I will definitely be reading this book again and I will be recommending to all my followers on my booktok. I'm so excited for this series to continue, you read each book about the 2 main characters but you fall in love with the side characters too.

I requested this book because the synopsis ticked all of my boxes (I'm definitely in my cowboy-romance era right now!). What I didn't realise was that this book is the third of the Wells Ranch series, so I took it upon myself to read the other books in the series first - obviously I didn't want to miss out!
Although this is the third book in the series, you could also pick this up as a standalone and it would still work.
I fell quickly into Blair and Denver's story and with ease. I really enjoyed their history and the flash backs some chapters provided. Their chemistry was off the charts and brilliantly written. What I didn't expect was how much this book would make me cry, with the difficult moments the two shared in the past and supported each other through it.
This was one of those books you read that makes you wish it would never end.
Fabulously written, spice level off the charts, emotional, beautiful!
I think I've found a new favourite author.

Thanks to Netgalley for providing an ARC in return for my honest review.

A good, sweet, second chance cowboy romance, whatโ€™s not to like? I do think that it wrapped up a little too quickly, at 60% it really felt like we were done and there wasnโ€™t much else that happened in the 40% after it. But it was a good palette cleanser nevertheless.

Bailey absolutely smashed it yet again with this!

The tropes were perfection, the two characters were real, relatable, likeable and had some great character development throughout.
The plot was fantastic, and I especially loved the dialogue timeline going on throughout.

If you love cowboy romance, with a highly emotional storyline, fantastic spice and hilarious moments I would 100% recommend this book

Bailey is easily one of my favourite authors and she did not disappoint at all with this.

I loved this! Was so happy to read Blairโ€™s story. Dual POV and dual timelines allows you to really feel everyoneโ€™s experiences. There are some important and sensitive issues explored here and theyโ€™re done so in an amazing way. A great, spicy, second chance romance. What more could you ask for?
