Ruthless. Two can definitely play the game. Avril is horrible to Jade but Jade does the unforgivable. Stealing Avril's baby! But did anyone see that ending coming?! Definitely not me!

Book 24 of Daniel’s, making my way slowly through them all! I felt like I was reading this and waiting for the usual twist, it was a little disappointing that it didn’t come before the epilogue but a great twist nonetheless! As usual I love how Daniel writes, capturing you from the first few pages and making you need to know what happens! If there were no other books left I’d be happy only reading his work! This was told from a dual POV, Jade and Avril, but a mixture of past and present, a dual POV is a highlight for me. Good character depth, I disliked Avril but she was written well! Lovely chapter length as usual, can’t beat a short, snappy chapter! Overall.. great read but not my favourite from Daniel! Would still recommend though.

This book follows two women, Avril and Jade, who give birth to their baby boys on the same day, in the same hospital, and end up in the beds next to each other. But of course it isn’t that simple, the two women knew each other in their past and we are taken on a rollercoaster of a read whilst we find out how their paths crossed previously.
I really liked the way that the book switched from the POV of the two main characters, and told you their experiences from their own perspective. We see the choices that both individuals made in previous years that have contributed to where they have ended up today, in the middle of a baby swap that only one of the characters is aware of.
This was a fast paced, easy read thriller that constantly left me wanting to read on. I did find myself questioning when, and if, a twist was going to be revealed as the end was closing in, but it certainly did not disappoint. This is the second book that I’ve read by Daniel Hurst, and it lived up to the high expectations that I had. Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for my ARC, I highly recommend!

Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for the advanced digital copy. I love to be one of the first to read Daniel Hurst's newest releases! I have been a fan for a few years now!
Release date is set for: February 19, 2025
Someone stole my little boy. I’ll do whatever it takes to get him back…
Staring down at the sweet baby in my arms, I feel panic instead of love. Because this isn’t the child I gave birth to. My husband whispers to the midwife. They all think I’m going crazy. But the tiny boy in my arms is crying again. I’m he knows I’m not his mummy. And I’ll do whatever it takes to get my son back.
I did it. I swapped my baby with another newborn in the hospital. As I hold the child in my arms, I hear my own little boy start to cry on the other side of the curtain. My heart is shattering into a million pieces.
This book hooks you from the prologue and keeps you guessing until the epilogue The Baby Swap definitely had sequel vibes to it. 🤔😍

🔪 This was my first book by the author ✍🏻 and it certainly won’t be the last. The book kept me hooked from the beginning till the end. It was a quick read and I easily finished it in two sittings. What surprised me most about this book was the fact that what started as a simple revenge story soon turned out to be something dark and sinister. Never in a million years could I have predicted that plot twist. It came as a total surprise.
🔪 Recommended! Thanks to the author and NetGalley for the ARC.

Brilliant gripping story of two women who give birth to boys on the same day and the ways their subsequent lives unfold and their previous history leads to a dramatic conclusion. I have read 49 of Daniel Hurst's books but this is perhaps the most enjoyable yet. Thanks the publisher and NetGalley for the chance to ARC this book.

Thank you for the ARC. This was my first book by this author even though I’ve heard good things. I had a baby recently so it hit close to home. It was fast paced and had a few twists in the end. It was somewhat predictable but had short chapters and was a quick and easy read. Looking forward to reading more by this author.

In a London hospital in the middle of the night, a mom swaps her baby with another woman's baby. The rest of the book proceeds to tell why. We learn that Jade believes Avril ruined her life in several ways. And she had promised to get revenge. So when their eyes met in the maternity ward, Jade knew what she had to do. Switch the babies. Thank to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.

Wow wow and wow another amazing and gripping psychological drama from this fabulous author. I read this in practically one sitting and was hooked from the first page and thoroughly invested in this story which is told from multiple characters points of view.
It has everything you would want from a gripping read engaging characters, suspense and intrigue and an engaging storyline.
This author has fast become one of my favourites and I can’t wait to see what they write next.

I went into this book with no prior experience reading Daniel Hurst’s work, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. However, I was thoroughly impressed! The story pulled me in from the start and didn’t let go until the final page. The short chapters were a brilliant choice, as they made the book feel fast-paced and addictive. I kept telling myself, “Just one more chapter,” only to find myself completely engrossed and losing track of time. It’s the kind of book that demands to be devoured in one sitting. Gripping, suspenseful, and captivating, this is a story I’d highly recommend to anyone looking for a thrilling read.

My favorite book by Daniel BY FAR! This is such a quick intense read, you will not be able to put it down. Jade and Avril have a bad past, and Jade sees an opportunity to get some revenge. All I can really say is if you treat people like crap your entire life, eventually someone is going to get revenge. Great suspense. great twists. Ending you will never see coming!

Holy cow! Daniel Hurst you've done it again! This might very well be my favorite of your books...I do love all of them, keep them coming! The twists and turns in this book are absolutely crazy. If you think you know what's going on, I guarantee you don't! Keep reading.
Thanks to netgalley, the publisher and author for the chance to read this ARC with the promise of an honest review.

I was hooked from page one of this clever thriller and I didn't look up from my book again until the very last line. I particularly enjoyed the flashbacks which explained why this crime came into being but I never could have anticipated the final twist, it was genius. Well worthy of 5 stars.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book

Thank you netgalley and publishers for this arc. Wow this was just crazy, very different than what I’m used to but writing was very captivating and suspenseful.

Wow! When I say I couldn’t get enough of this book, I mean it.
The first 2 pages left me with a cliffhanger that had me gasping and needing to read on.
This was a short read but , everything that happened in this book was wild and I have no idea how it all fit perfectly into a short and sweet novel.
We are introduced to 2 ladies who have encountered one another in their pasts and that leads to what happens when they both happen to have a baby boy on the same day.
I was on the edge of my seat the entire time and I couldnt stop reading because every single chapter left me with a cliff hanger and had me guessing what was happening.
This is my first read of Daniel hursts and this novel has intrigued me to read more of his novels.
Easily deserves 5 stars for the amount of jaw drops that are in this short read ⭐️
*thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for allowing me to read this ARC*

Wow, what a couple of psychos. In order to get revenge on a woman that scorned her in the past, Jade swaps her own baby for Avril's. I'm not a mother myself, but this book hooked me immediately. It was highly entertaining. The length that some women will go to in order to induce pain on another. Ugh! Both Jade and Avril were unlikeable characters, although I thought Avril was the worst of them. I loved the twists. A perfect popcorn thriller to enjoy on a cold, dark night.

What an entertaining thriller! I felt like I could clearly visualize all the scenes playing out in my head. It kept my attention the whole time and I didn’t want to put it down. This story is packed full of revenge and life ruining moments. There are some shocking revelations and twists that added to my enjoyment of the story. The ending scenes were so unexpected and left my head spinning!

Staring down at the sweet baby in my arms, I feel panic instead of love. Because this isn’t the child I gave birth to. My husband whispers to the midwife. They all think I’m going crazy. But the tiny boy in my arms is crying again. I’m certain: he knows I’m not his mummy. And I’ll do whatever it takes to get my son back! Great read! Wow the shocking twists in this book are plenty!! It also had great suspense, intriguing characters, murder, kidnapping, mystery, a sort of who done it and some really shocking twists and turns! The storyline was very interesting! I highly recommend reading this book! Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!

I absolutely devoured this book, I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. So many twists throughout the book however a few were twists I was able to predict a few pages before. Looking forward to reading more books by this author.

First, thank you to Daniel Hurst and team for this ARC.
I read the book in about 3 hours because I couldn't put it down. What happens when you swap a baby with another? A whole lot of mischief and twists to bring you to the conclusion, which isn't might not actually be the conclusion. While it's a somewhat outside of the box plot, it gripped me from the beginning, until the very last page. High praise for this book, and now I'll have to read all of the others!
