Fisher wrote a book unlike one I have ever read! I felt as though I was behind the camera myself. The wonderful writing allows the reader to connect with the character as though it’s a forever friend. Beautifully done!

This is a stunning first installment of the National Parks Summers series by Suzanne Woods Fisher. Set in majestic Grand Teton National Park, this book showcases the personal growth that stems from interactions with people and nature.

I enjoyed the focus on wildlife photography, holding onto one’s dream, the important work of park rangers, and the power of nature.

When Kate Cunningham’s dream drives her to tap into Ranger Grant Cooper’s skill set, she learns that sometimes we overlook important things (like cues) in our desperate race for the prize. I appreciated the lesson I learned from this, too. In our hunt for success, we can get caught up in tunnel vision.

I found myself down a rabbit hole Googling Grizzly 399 and then when my emotions got the best of me, I worked through them by cleaning my DSLR.

I was gifted this copy by Revell and NetGalley and was under no obligation to provide a review.
