Perfect for my KS3 readers, the characters are very relatable, the storyline is fun, and the dreams are aspirational - i already know which readers will voraciously eat this one up, and be inspired to start their own band!

Trope: YA, friendship, self discovery

Cute YA story about drama, music and
I would love to see this story as a BBC series
Book review: The main character Galaxy has big dreams . She is a talented schoolgirl who wants to become a pop star. When she finds out her school is hosting a talent competition she immediately wants to sign up as a solo artist but when her detention mutual suggest for them to start a rock band she quickly finds out that much more fun.
Being in rock band forces galaxy to step out of her comfort zone. This might prove difficult.
Each band member brings their unique style and this confirms that the band name “misfits” is perfectly suited for them.
Read the book to find out how the story plays out. I would definitely recommend this read to my daughter and teen nieces.

Really cute! This is exactly the type of novel missing from the 11-13 year old reader space!
It has a lot of cleverly woven into the story lessons to offer teens on navigating relationships with friends, siblings and what it means to work towards a shared dream!
The MC, Galaxy is the perfect -mildly annoying teen, who is the center of her own universe and overly dependent on her best friend, it’s nice to see her growth over the book and I’m very excited to try out this rest of what will hopefully be a series?!?!
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the egalley!
