When I first started this I didn’t really know where it was going (as I’d forgotten what it was about and didn’t want to read the blurb again) but I was instantly intrigued.
I loved how we are given tantalising bits of information during and at the end of (nearly) each chapter, completely captivating you and drawing you into the usual dynamic between the 2 main characters.

However, as it progressed I started to get annoyed by both Alice & Mina (more so Mina). Especially how Mina acted when she was “wronged” as if she’s a victim and never done anything wrong ever.

I also felt it was a bit of a slog to get through. And that some of the side characters were pointless.

The ending also disappointed me. Can’t say too much without spoiling it but I just wanted more.

They’re both from very different backgrounds but both have secrets from their past that if revealed would seriously damage their future
A very taut read and the suspense is palpable as the plot unfolds

From the very first page, this book pulled me straight into its world of seduction, power, and deception. The tension builds beautifully, and the twists are so clever that I genuinely couldn’t stop reading. Alice’s journey from desperation to entanglement in Mina’s dangerous games is completely compelling, with every chapter raising the stakes.

The writing is sharp, stylish, and impossible to put down – the kind of story that keeps you up long past bedtime, whispering “just one more chapter.” It’s dark, sexy, and full of morally grey characters you’ll love and loathe at the same time.

When I started reading this book I quickly realised it was not for me. I found the focus on voyeurism uncomfortable and stopped reading fairly quickly

I loved everything about this book! The blurb grabbed me instantly. Short snappy chapters and complicated and toxic relationships. I ended up purchasing on audiobook as I was suffering from a migraine and was so desperate to finish it- it’s that good..

Having loved the debut novel by this author I knew I wanted to read more from her. This follows a very similar style to her first book with two very strong female characters, a few spicy encounters and a twisty relationship between them! I did find the book dipped a little in grabbing my attention about half way through but ended up with a strong and impressive ending. A strong follow up novel and definitely still an author I’m keen to read.

This was a great read with quite a few twists!

It's a story about secrets, lies, and obsession. We meet two very different women, and the story is told from both perspectives. There is Alice, who lives in a luxury apartment that she inherited from a woman she was caring for, but she is struggling to keep her head above water. Everything is also not as it seems. Why is this woman's son stalking her, and why is she scared to go to the police?

Then there is the successful and wealthy Mina, who is the wife of an MP and also now Alice's new boss, but she is also hiding secrets from everyone, especially her husband.

This is a story that will end in murder, but whose murder...?

Watch Me Watch You is told over five parts, from the dual POV of Alice and Mina, both being incredibly unreliable narrators leaving you with a sense of suspicion about what’s to come. Throughout there are also, whatsapp messages, diary extracts, and flashbacks to the past.
Alice’s voyuerism adds another layer to the story and the depth of both characters adds to the complex narrative, this story is one of wealth and deceit. A gripping page turner that will have you reading late into the night. I can’t wait for what Lily comes up with next.

I can suspend my grip on reality so far but this stretched it to almost breaking point. I hope there are no magazine journalists reading it because the totally unlikely scenarios wioukd have them running for the woods.

Alice had managed to fall into an editor's job, almost like an apprentice job if you like, for head honcho Mina at a Publishing firm. Alice didn't have money but she owned a very expensive apartment. How did that happen? She never had any money from one week to the next. However when Mina began hiring her apartment from her from time to time that helped Alice, but what did she need it for? Alice had a dark past and both their lives were troubled really. It's unfair of me to continue to spoil this story as it was a page turner,l and I read it in one sitting. It was steamy and hot as Mina's marriage wasn't quite as she portrayed it to be and and It was dark with many secrets that soon got out of control. A 5* read! I loved it! A dark sexy sensational thriller!

A gripping page turner; I flew through Watch Me Watch You by Lily Samson.

I loved that the story was set amongst the publishing industry and the contrast between Mina’s extravagant life style and the working class background of Alice.

The story really benefited from both characters POVs with snappy chapters that kept me reading far too late into the night!

I thought the secret room in Alice’s flat was a fantastic idea and created a very close, voyeuristic atmosphere.

This seductive story had many twists and none that I saw coming! Really recommend this one to fans of page turning thrillers and publication day is tomorrow!

A twisted and suspenseful thriller with a fast pace. The characters and situations are somewhat unbelievable, one of the protagonists becomes an editor with no formal education or training or passion for books. However, a light, sexy summer read.

Alice lives in a flat that she can hardly afford, she meets Mina at the publishing house. Mina ask Alice to rent her house for a night, this leads to lies with plenty of twists and turns. I enjoyed this book the characters were well drawn and the plot kept me reading. Will look for more from this author. Thanks to Random House UK/Cornerstone and Netgalley for this review ARC.

The story with two different characters - first, we have Alice Smart, who's broke and has a long term boyfriend, Sean, and she lives in a flat in an affluent area. Then we have Mina Harpenden, works for a publishing firm, and married to a MP, Romain. Alice and Mina meet at the publishing house, where Alice will intern with the hope of gaining a job at the end of the time period. What happens next is Mina takes advantage of Alice's nature and then follows on a course of destruction that leads them both to an unexpected conclusion. It was full of deception, lies, secrets and twists and turns aplenty and they were both flawed characters.

This was a DNF for me,the basis of a good read was here but for me flawed as needed to decide if it was a psychological thriller or a spicy read,am not sure the 2 mixed well ( in this story ) I thought the characters interesting and had a lot to offer but situations they found themselves in with each other were for me unbelievable and the main character at times was incredibly naive, in what she did

Wow. What a book. I literally was wishing time away to lunchtime and bedtime so I could read this. I stayed up well past my bed time reading this! It is the definition of “I couldn’t put it down”
This book is told from two perspectives; Alice, who is absolutely broke, in a long term relationship with Sean and lives in a very high end London flat. The other perspective is Mina, publishing director and wife of a highly successful MP.
Both have their secrets to hide and both will do anything to protect them. Alice becomes an intern at Mina’s company and is desperate to impress and secure that full time paying role. She will do absolutely anything to get that job!
Mina takes full advantage of the situation and both embark on a dark journey when Mina starts renting Alice’s flat from her… secrets are uncovered….
The book is so toxic and twisted that it will become your new obsession.
I can’t wait to read more by this author.

Oh this book took me by surprise. Its soooo good I really cant recommend it high enough.
It's a right twisty page turner that you will struggle to put down.
This is my first book by this author and so excited to read more of there work

With a beautiful flat in London, Alice seems to have it all but beneath the surface she is struggling financially. When her boss Mina offers Alice money in return to use her flat for a night, it’s too good an offer to refuse. But soon Alice learns the truth about what she is using it for and secrets and lies begin to spin out of control.

I really enjoyed this author’s debut, The Switch, so was excited to read a new book by her. This was another fun, crazy thriller which gave me a Hitchcock vibe. I was interested in the story straight away and it ended up going in directions I wasn’t foreseeing. I enjoyed discovering all the twists, turns and secrets along the way.

The characters were interesting and had unique voices. I have to admit that at times I found them slightly frustrating, however I was intrigued to see where the author would take them and never knew who to trust. The story flowed quite well, but by the midway point there were quite a few different parts to the story going on, so it became quite complex and meant it needed more concentration to keep everything on track. This is definitely a solid thriller overall and perfect for those looking for a dark, unique read with a racy edge. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this copy in return for an honest review.

ooooh this book was dripping with dark intrigue. i was hooked from the get go and couldn't wait to chase the pages to find out where this would end up.
Alice is a young woman who seems to have it all, but there is more to this woman below the surface, way more going on and wrong. in her job she has a major pull towards her boss, a woman who has a aura about her that Alice cant keep away from. is she jealous or envious of her boss and her seeming life of luxury and esteemed husband?Mina has needs of her own, and has an offer for Alice which seems to be an easy yes. this is an easy night for the money Alice desperately needs. but she didn't know what was to come from this one night and it was about to get a whole lot darker. Now who is going to win through the secrets and deceits. who is going to come out on top and what will either of them do to make sure its them?
this book kept me hooked. i was trying to figure out the characters and the plot all the way through and kept being surprised in the best ways it everything unfolded. the pace just what you wanted it to be and just kept you on your toes and tense all the way with that brilliant thriller type excitement good books like this bring.
