This a great series and the latest instalment doesn’t disappoint .
Jodie “nosey” Parker is getting ready for her nuptials to DCI Nathan Withers but as you may suspect things don’t go to plan .
The wedding is taking place at an affluent Cornish castle, and all of the couples friends and family are attending .
A body is found face down in a pond and that’s where everything goes south for the pair.
Will the pair marry or won’t they?
Nathan’s friend is arrested for murder , can the couple investigate and prove his innocence?
All the usual characters are in this story and they are just as funny and amiable as always .
An easy to read and enjoyable cosy mystery .
I could read this series all day long .

I’ve only started reading books by Fiona Leitch and I was just as impressed by this book as her other few that Ive read Inadvertently I’ve read them out of sequence but think they still work perfectly as standalones.
Although classed as “Cozy Crimes” the storyline is still strong and intriguing, and it has a real warmth and humour in the telling.I even got a recipe for a delicious sounding chocolate cake from the book !
I loved all the characters and I can’t wait to see what happens next between “Nosy” and Nathan

The Nosey Parker Mystery series and author Fiona Leitch are new to me, but it didn't stop my enjoyment of the book even though it is book 8. It's a humorous book, has quirky characters, twists and turns. Cosy crime is my favourite genre and this is an easy, quick, short read that is set in Cornwall somewhere I haven't been but would love to go. The book kept me hooked, holding my interest with its good pace, a page turning will they won't they go ahead with the wedding? AND as always I didn't guess who did it!!!

In The Cornish Castle Murder we continue to follow Jodie Parker adventures.
It's a pleasure to see how the heroine balances family, friends, fiancé and sleuthering on the Cornwall coastline.

Jodie and Nathan are at a posh Cornish castle for their wedding, but during the celebrations a body appears on the premise, and the investigations begin.

It was fun for me that DCI Nathan Withers for the first time had to search for the evidence as a layperson, because he is on leave and another detective has been assigned to the case. This new dynamics between Jodie and Nathan are even more nice and enticing. I love them, they are an adorable couple.

Fiona Leitch published the eigth book in the The Nosey Parker Mysteries series: her writing and storyline are still intriguing, engaging, humorous, refreshing and never boring.

I've enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it..

I really love this series and i liked how this book drew in new characters from previous books and new ones! The writing was excellent and I loved the central mystery. I'm looking forward to the next one in the series to see what happens to Jodie and her family!

Josie and Nate are getting married! Though it's not exactly their dream venue, they have put down money on a castle. And, as it's absolutely gorgeous, it will do just fine. The whole scope of the place is amazing. At least until the general manager, knowing that at least one of them is with the police, pulls them into his office. It seems that there have been a series of petty thefts and he's wondering if they can help. As it is their wedding weekend, they decline. And the hoopla starts... but it's off to a shaky start when Nate's childhood friends and his cop friends don't immediately gel. It gets even worse when there's a murder in the castle, one of the topless bartenders that was at Nate's stag do.
This was a fun romp and in line with the rest of the series. I don't think you have to have read the rest of the series to enjoy the book but it sure does help.

The Cornish Castle Murder is supposed to see Nosey (Jodie) Parker married to DI Nathan Withers. But when a murder happens before the big day, all sorts of things are called into question.
The Nosey Parker Mysteries are entertaining and this 8th book is entertaining as well. The book does feel a little long because all the activities and investigation take place over about 3 days.
Nathan can't investigate so an old associate of Jodie's is called in by the police. This allows for some friction to develop.
I enjoyed reading The Cornish Castle Murder, even if not as much as some previous books in the series.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again....I love this series. Eight books in and the cast of fun and down-to-earth characters feel like friends and people I actually know. I've been alongside them as the characters have grown up (Daisy), grown old disgracefully (Nana) and now got married (Jodie and Nathan). The wedding celebrations were an entertaining backdrop to the murder mystery - which in itself was an interesting one with enough intrigue / twists to keep me guessing.

I really enjoy this author! This is a fun series. I love castle settings. So that really added to the story for me. Cozy mysteries are really fun and I really enjoyed the characters. I would definitely check out more books by this author.

A good mystery with good characters. This is the first in the series that I've read but I have read the author before. In spite of it being the first, and a marriage is in the offering of the two main characters, it was easy to understand. I enjoyed how the characters got along and the humor. Many of the characters are police officers without this really being a police procedural. And in those, at least the ones I have read, often some of the officers don't get along so it was nice to see here the ones that were a team actually acted as one.

Now Jody and Nathan need to face the fact and figure out whether the murderer is part of their wedding party or another guest staying at the hotel. Can Jody help solve the case or will death you them part sooner than they think?

I love every single one of the three Parker women in this story. I love every single other character in this story. The mysteries are always great, filled with red herrings and keep you guessing into the end. I also love the humor that the author blends in as part of the protagonist. It keeps me coming back or more every single time.

Jodie and Nathan eagerly anticipate their wedding with a pre-wedding celebration at a luxury castle hotel in Cornwall. The differing personalities in the mix of friends and family cause tension, but it's the discovery of a young woman's body that threatens their long-awaited nuptials. The mystery's secrets unfold gently, punctuated with humour, romantic moments and unexpected reveals. I like the dynamic between the female protagonists, which is relatable, and the many humorous incidents that mirror life are entertaining. I enjoyed the mystery twists throughout the story as each reveal throws up more queries. It's an easy read that keeps you immersed until the well-thought-out conclusion.

The Cornish Castle Murder by Fiona Leitch features a wedding. Well, wit ill if they can get it off the mark. What wedding ever goes smoothly? Especially one between a police inspector and ex-police officer who now is a caterer and a part time sleuth. Nathan has two best men, one coming from New York. He missed his plane and is late. A fight with his girlfriend, apparently. The castle was gorgeous. Well, they’d spent enough, it should be. Nathan and Jodie were the perfect couple and were having this wedding for others. All they wanted was to be married. Jodie had a hen party and Nathan, a bachelor party, which it seemed had almost naked waitresses. When the women went to check they discovered they had been more naked earlier but had covered up when asked. Then, Frankie, the boyfriend of one of them appeared, not happy. He was belligerent and unpleasant, something that did not set well with Jodie. Sadly, the next morning, his girlfriend was found floating in the pond. Had he been that angry?

Things got worse, when Frankie was found somewhat innocent and one of the best men: James, from New York, was hauled in instead. Jodie had worked with this officer years before and liked her, but even she had to admit she was being difficult. None of the local police could work on the case: conflict of interest, Nathan and all. That got resolved and they continued to investigate despite the fact they were not allowed to. It was a good mystery and a fun read. No, the wedding did not happen. Seemed disrespectful. Good continuing characters and a good plot. Certainly a terrific setting. And an interesting mystery.

I love this series so much and it is my go to holiday read. This is book 8 in the series but totally works as a stand alone novel. I loved diving in to this story and, by now, the characters feel like old friends. An absolute must read for any cozy murder mystery fan.

I don’t know why I love cozy murder mysteries for the poolside, but this genre is one I easily gravitate towards when needing a light read with low stakes. If you are looking for something which is quick, easy, and entertaining, this is a great book and probable series to add to your TBR list when you need a cozy crime to solve.

This is book 8 in a series, but a reader does not have to read the others to understand what is going on in this installment. I do think reading the others would give us a backstory of what has led up to this point with the characters, but the mystery within this one is stand alone and happens solely within these pages. “Nosey” Jodie Parker is getting married to her fiancé Nathan. Even though they didn’t really want a big wedding, the in-laws decided they needed a big wedding and reserved a castle for the wedding events.

The mystery starts when a body is found on the golf course of the castle. The wedding party quickly realized the woman is one who was part of Nathan’s Stag do party the night before and now they are curious and their detective/ police backgrounds make them feel like they want to solve the crime. I won’t give anything away, but when you mix a wedding, death, heist, and family drama all together, you get a very action packed and humorous mystery to solve.

Jodie and Nathan are finally going to get married. The wedding is at a small castle type venue paid for by Nathan's parents as they had insisted on the big wedding.
On the night of the stag and hen parties, one of the "waitresses" at Nathan's stag, is killed and found in a pond the next morning.
As Nathan and most of his team are present at the time, they aren't allowed to be on the investigation and a DI from Exeter takes point. It turns out to be one of Jodie's colleagues from her Met days. She immediately arrests someone and when that doesn't pan out, someone else. Both of which Jodie and Nathan have worked out couldn't have done it.
They decide to do a parallel investigation as it is casting a shadow over their celebrations with surprising results.
A fun book.

A wonderful read!
This novel drew me in from the very first page and kept me hooked until the end. The characters were vibrant and relatable, the writing was engaging, and the story had just the right balance of heart and humor. Highly recommend!

It’s time for Nosey and Nathan to get married and all the festivities are in full swing. As all readers of this series know that things that happen are totally unexpected in Nosey’s life.
This is a cozy mystery that everyone fan of Fiona Leitch and the Nosy Parker series must read.
I can not wait for the next book in this series.
