A very cute romance about 2 rivals trying to plan the perfect proposal for their best friends but end up falling in love with each other in the process. When they first meet, there is a spark between Oliver and Priscilla, but a misunderstanding/miscommunication leads them to become enemies instead. But even then, we get the sense that they don't really hate each other at all. The yearning from Oliver and the oblivion from Priscilla makes the anticipation and buildup so good - I wish we got to see what he wrote in his secret notebook that was so clearly about her! The proposal that they planned was also pretty amazing and the love that they have for each other and their friends is so clear. I also really liked the ending, where everything comes full circle.
Thank you to One More Chapter and NetGalley for the ARC!

The Proposal Project by Donna Marchetti is the kind of book that completely swept me away in the best possible way! From the very first page, I was hooked by the lighthearted yet heartfelt storyline, filled with charm, humor, and a dash of romance.
The main characters are so relatable and their journey felt incredibly real. I loved how Marchetti skillfully blended humor with emotion, creating a perfect balance between fun and sincerity. The story was full of unexpected twists, but always kept a warm, uplifting vibe that left me with a big smile on my face.
If you're looking for a feel-good, heartwarming read with great characters and a story that tugs at your heartstrings, The Proposal Project is a must-read. It’s one of those books that makes you feel good inside, and I absolutely loved every minute of it.

I read Hate Mail by Donna Marchetti last year and I really loved it so I was all too happy to pick up her second book ahead of its release. In The Proposal Project we follow Priscilla, an event planner who was recently fired from her job and is now starting her own business with her best friend Tina’s proposal as her first job. There’s only one problem - Tina’s boyfriend Ryan also wants to propose. In order not to ruin either of their wishes, Priscilla works together with Oliver, Ryan’s best friend who Priscilla used to have a crush on and now hates, to coordinate both of their proposals.
Donna Marchetti manages to stir up a lot of yearning, which is possibly the thing I love the most about reading romances. Priscilla and Oliver have a great dynamic and the will they won’t they causes a lot of beloved tension. My only criticism is that I thought things moved very quickly towards the end, but overall this was a super fun read with no annoying third act breakup and a whole lot of awwwwing.
Thank yous i much to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me with an advanced copy of this book.

4.5 stars
This story was such a fun and adorable read. I found myself laughing so many times when I read this book. I loved the way that everything turned out. It was such a beautiful proposal. I loved the way Donna Marchetti made me fall in love with both couples. I feel like we don’t always get details about the couple but we get to see them beyond in love with each other. That’s why they are both going through all of this. I highly recommend it!
