A strong premise which ended up stretching the bounds of credibility for me. That didn’t detract much from my enjoyment of a well written book with some interesting characters.

Twins Mia and Chloe are not the close twins at all. They are so very different. Live totally separate lives. Parents both dead, they have grievances towards each other. Can they repair their relationship. Scott comes into Chloe’s life, but he is everything that he portrays. Secrets and lies lead to devastating consequences.
Great read. Thankyou.

Thanks to NetGalley for the early access. While I feel that putting this book in the Thriller category is a stretch, it was a good storyline.

Mia was a bully. Chloe was the ultimate people pleaser. They may have been twins but they were night and day different and their relationship was tumultuous to say the least.

The premise of the book is unique and I enjoyed parts of the story, overall I found the book far fetched and the mystery of their mother dying underwhelming. I appreciated the ARC from the publisher and Net Galley

Mia and Chloe are twins, but there is an undercurrent of jealousy running through their relationship. Chloe has longed to be close to Mia, so when she strolls back into her life Chloe is excited at the prospect of finally getting that. When tragedy strikes, Chloe is finally able to have the life she has always dreamed of, but at what cost?

I really wanted to love this book. I felt it was predictable and it lacked the twists I was looking for. It wasn't a bad book, but I just found it lacking.

Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC.

I had trouble staying engaged in the book due to the fact it kept jumping around so much. It was such a struggle to finish, I would not recommend this book to my friends or family. And I would not read this author again.

Thank you to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for an early release of this book.

If you’re looking for a fast paced thriller this one is for you! Mia and Chloe have never had anything in common besides being twins. Chloe is finally starting to discover happiness, when Mia disrupts her life once again. The Quiet Sister has lots of twist and turns involving relationships, friendships, and murder.

Umm, I really, really need to learn how to skim a book. Skimming would have helped me here, as I had terrible difficulty staying engaged with the story. Twins? Switch places? Emotional turmoil? This just didn't work for me, and it was a struggle to finish. Don't respond to my statement of love fast enough? Oh, he must hate me! Say one wrong word? He never liked me. Uggh, the dialogue felt juvenile and overly emotionally immature.

I can see how this might appeal to some folks. It just didn't appeal to me. I'll be generous in my rating.

Would I read the author again? Probably not (sorry :( )

I received a complimentary copy of the novel from the publisher and NetGalley, and my review is being left freely.

Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for providing this book, with my honest review below.

The Quiet Sister was super twisty, relying a little heavily on the happenstance that the main character was a twin, but the structure of the story that had me on edge despite that. Chloe and Mia maybe twins but Mia sucked up all the confidence and extroversion in the womb, with Chloe left with a lot of self doubt that isn’t helped by some mysterious event in her past. When Mia comes back to London to reconnect it’s clear to Chloe that she’s also there to steal her partner Scott and destroy the tentative beginnings of success Chloe has found for herself. Told in present day and flashbacks (present day following a notable event at the start of the book and flashbacks leading up from a few months before to the notable event), readers have blinders removed slowly just as Chloe did, but untangling what exactly occurred, and most importantly why it did, made this fast paced and hard to look away from.

There were some plot points I wanted to spend more time with, like Mia’s motivation over the past year, and as mentioned the twin thing was a little too easy when this could have worked (creatively) without it, but I would recommend it for lovers of thrillers as it’s really gripping.

This story had me intrigued from the very beginning. I do like how the twins are completely opposite. I was able to finish this book quickly, although some parts were a little slow.

I would say more like 3.50 stars.
They story really kept you intrigued and hooked until about 75 percent through. It felt like we were being led up to these amazing twists and it kinda fell flat. I liked the idea of using twins to represent good and evil, along with complex relationships. I just wish we had more pay out at the end.

Very intriguing premise with some really complicated characters. Really enjoyed the plot and how the story went back and forth between the past and the present. A very well paced story that I flew through and really enjoyed reading. However, the last part of the book just seemed like a bit of a let down after all of the build up along the way. The ending seemed very contrived and convoluted.
Intriguing characters and a good storyline. I liked the moving from past to present and found the toxic relationship between the twins interesting. There were one or two niggles which do seem a bit far fetched which I won't mention in case it spoils it for others.. However, all in all well worth reading.

Keep your enemies close, but your sister even closer. To the outside world, twins Mia and Chloe appear to share a strong bond, just like any good sisters. However, behind closed doors, their relationship is filled with jealousy, resentment, and bitterness. Mia, the popular and charming twin, is always in the spotlight, adored by everyone. In contrast, Chloe is the quiet one, often overlooked and underestimated, striving to carve out a life away from Mia's influence. At last, Chloe finds happiness and contentment. But when Mia reappears, eager to reclaim her place in Chloe's life and coveting everything she has—including her fiancé Scott—Chloe knows she can't let her sister disrupt her life again. Mia has crossed the line too many times, taking what isn’t hers. As old rivalries, secrets, and lies resurface, tragedy looms. One sister will seize the chance to finally live the life she has always dreamed of and truly deserves

If you're into psychological thrillers, this one about twins Mia and Chloe is a must-read. Throughout the story, you discover that reality is often misleading. The bond between the sisters is captivating, swinging between affection, bitterness, and fierce rivalry. As hidden truths emerge and chaos ensues, the surprises keep coming, making it hard to put the book down. I really appreciated how the story wrapped up. I’d highly recommend it!

Twins Mia and Chloe appear close, but their relationship is built on jealousy and resentment. Mia, popular and adored, has always overshadowed Chloe. Now, Mia's back, wanting to share Chloe's life, including her fiancé. Chloe refuses to let Mia ruin her life again. When tragedy strikes, one sister seizes the chance to take over the life she craves.

I was drawn to The Quiet Sister because phycological thriller is the genre that speaks to me most… plus, I’m a twin, and books involving twins always pique my interest. I enjoyed the intertwining of the present and past throughout the book. I loved the slight twists and turns. I loved reading about the bond, or lack thereof, of Mia and Chloe. I liked how trading places can become sinister. Also, I love when a book can mess with your head (for lack of a better word). Overall, The Quiet Sister was very well written.
I just wish the ending wasn’t so abrupt.

This novel is a psychological thriller about twins who on the outside seem to have a good relationship but are secretly holding on to resentment, bitterness and jealousy. Mia and Chloe are completely opposite of each other… Mia is the popular, attractive one who always wants to be center of attention and Chloe is the shy one more quiet and reserved.

Chloe tries to build her life without her sister involved then Mia shows up trying to push her way back in Chloe’s life and wanting all that her sister has. Will Chloe be underestimated?

Such an engrossing and intense read! If you like thrillers with gripping, page turning twists that keep you drawn in then you won’t want to miss reading this book.

This story is about two twin sisters. In all fairness, it was a solid read. I always encourage readers to read a book for themselves. My opinion is mine alone. I rate this three solid stars.
