Kay and her husband have new neighbors, Beth and Gary, who are renting their property next door. Kay is the HOA president, and a busy body. She spies on thd neighbors. Ther is something about Gary that doesn't sit well with her.

This is the first book I've read by this author. I found the character of Kay a little too over the top. Unexpected twist was good. Overall I enjoyed the book. 3.5 out of 5 ⭐️

The thing I like about thrillers is how hard it can be sometimes to predict who is going to do what. With this book you really didn't know and I enjoyed guessing. I had a couple ideas but I didn't know if they were correct. I liked that you could follow the story as you read and that it had you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happened next, The author did a fantastic job writing this book. The characters despite some of their manipulative aspects were interesting to follow along. I look forward to hearing more from this author, I really liked it.

A busy body or concerned resident? You don’t know with the head of the HOA. When a new couple move in next door, she’s the only one who finds them odd, which leads to the question, do you really know your neighbors? This was a fast paced, quick read. While a bit over the top in some spots, I was entertained from the first page to the last. A small cast of characters that are easy to follow. The authors writing style had me hooked and I look forward to reading the authors other works.

I received an arc copy of this book from Net Galley in exchange for my honest opinion of it. How well do you really know your neighbors? I flew through the first half of the book but I felt like the ending was just a little too much with so many twists. I really like this author and definitely will read more by her but the ending was just not for me.

Amazing thriller.

I was hooked from the start, had so many twists and so many turns I did not see coming.

If I could give more that 5 stars I would.

Mystery lovers rejoice! There’s a great one coming out soon! The Neighbor by NL Hinkens was an excellent read!

My husband says I shouldn’t be watching Beth and Gary through binoculars. But they’re not just our neighbors, they’re renting our property. I know something’s off about them. For example, when I took over a chicken casserole, they told me they were vegetarians. Now Gary’s barbecuing steak in the back yard. What else are they lying about?! Great read!! Wow some very nosy neighbors! This book had so many shocking twists that I did not see coming! It had great suspense, intriguing, murder, great mystery, a fantastic sort of who done it and a shocking ending! The story was very interesting! I highly recommend reading this book! Thank you NetGalley and Joffe books (my fave) for sharing this book with me!

What a suspenseful, fast- paced and twisty read! I throughly enjoyed this book!

A new couple moves in next to Kay and he husband. Kay tries to befriend Beth, but her husband, Gary is always in the middle controlling her and lying about her. When Kay is able to actually talk to Beth, she finds out more and more things that Gary has been lying about. Why is he lying? What are these two hiding? Then Luna (Beth's daughter) shows up, but also seems to disappear. Is Gary keeping them captive somewhere? Kay is convinced Gary is doing something although he always seems to have a story as to why her suspicions are wrong. What exactly is going on next door??? And is Kay going to end up a victim if she doesn't stop meddling? I def did not see the ending of this book coming!

Kay is the President of the HOA, and has rented out the house next door. New people have moved in, Gary and Beth. There is something about Gary that she doesn't like, and she notices that he controls Beth, and decided to assist Beth.
Beth disappears, and Gary spins a story that she is in rehab.
Beth's daughter arrives, and she also disappears.
Kay has to get answers, but they aren't quite what she expected.

This is a fast paced psychological thriller which I truly couldn't put down. It is very suspenseful and dark in some places.
I can't say I like many of the characters, Kay is a busy body, the 'nosy neighbour', binoculars and all!!
The twist at the end is jaw dropping.
