"The Nanny Share" turned out to be quite an exciting journey through the complexities of its plot and characters.

From the very first pages, the book presented a clear villain, which initially made the beginning feel somewhat predictable and uneventful. However, as I delved deeper into the story, the suspense started to build, and I found myself increasingly drawn in. By the end, I couldn’t put the book down; the tension and unexpected twists truly kept me on the edge of my seat.

One aspect I particularly enjoyed was the diverse cast of characters. Each one was thoughtfully developed, and their lives became intricately intertwined, forming a web of relationships that showcased the theme of attachment. The dynamics between them were fascinating and provided depth to the narrative. The ending, in particular, was a revelation; I found it quite surprising and was genuinely taken aback by the turn of events, which I certainly did not anticipate when I first opened the book.

"The Nanny Share" is a compelling novel filled with rich details that may seem straightforward but ultimately leave the reader intrigued. It's a fast read, especially as the story gains momentum and becomes captivating towards the end.

Excellent narration! Even better than my own in my head. Excellent book about two families whose daughters go misding. The only thing connecting them together besides ex business partners, is the nanny. This book was a whirlwind as you can't trust any of these people they all have secrets.

I love thrillers set in wealthy, closed off neighborhoods. The Nanny Share was a good book, but didn't keep my attention at times. Partially I think because multi-narrator books are not my favorite. The storyline kept me guessing so I overall enjoyed this thriller.

"The Nanny Share" by Emily Shiner is a psychological thriller. Julie is the nanny for two little 4 year old girls, Emma and Nealie. Their families used to be close but are estranged now.

The book has mostly short chapters. The point of view changes for each chapter, and it's hard to keep track. Kate, the police detective is one voice. Julie, the nanny is another. Each mother, Karrie and Alison, also tell the story. I think Ryan, one of the fathers, may tell one chapter.

So, two little girls, one from each of two families, are missing one morning. The nanny is shocked and confused. The story advances hour by hour, uncovering secrets that hopefully lead to finding the girls. The detective is pushy and inappropriate. Both fathers are overbearing and mean.

The audiobook was narrated by Ashley Rose Kaplan. She did well with the female voices and the angry tones.

This is a decent thriller that kept me interested.

⭐⭐⭐ A decent read that kept me engaged from start to finish. The pacing was solid and there was enough suspense to keep me turning the pages. While some characters weren't particularly likable and a few felt a bit over the top, the story held my attention. The ending wrapped things up well enough, though nothing groundbreaking. A quick thriller that keeps you guessing, but ultimately just decent. The narration was a bit of a struggle for me at times, with one of the main character's voices being difficult to listen to. Thanks to NetGalley for an ARC.

I really enjoyed the content of the book. The storyline and plot were good, kept my attention, and definitely had my heart racing at times! My only complaint is the narration. Frankly, it took me a long time to listen to solely because I really did not enjoy one of the main character’s voices.

Nanny Share was a decent read that kept me engaged from start to finish. While some of the characters weren’t particularly likable and a few felt a bit over the top, the story itself held my attention. The pacing was solid, and there was enough suspense to keep me turning the pages. The ending wrapped things up well nothing groundbreaking, but satisfying enough. If you're looking for a quick thriller that keeps you guessing, this one is worth checking out.

The twisty ending was really a big surprise. It gave me a big shriver.

The story started with two young girls got disappeared and they were taken care by the same nanny. The story then revealed the secrets between the two families which made me hooked. The relationship between them was not what the outsiders could see. The plot was great and the pace was wonderful without any dragging.

The narrator had a great voice and intonation which made the story even more gripping.

Many thanks to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for my copy.

This is one of those books which if I had been reading it, I would have given up on as I really didn’t like or appreciate any of the characters. Even the ‘good’ cop seemed warped and really shouldn’t have been on the case given her link to one of the men involved. Little aspects like that just annoyed me. As I listened to the audio whilst doing mundane routine cleaning jobs, I kept engaged as I found that I wanted to know the who, why and how answers. The book is well read and works as an escapist time passer when working but it’s not a book I could recommend to most of my fellow readers. (For example, its not a book to discuss at book club)

Two little girls go missing in the middle of the night. They are best friends but the families who were also best friends have fallen apart. Why would both girls go missing? did they run away or were they taken? What are the families hiding? This is told in multi pov which each one gave you a piece of the puzzle to what happen now and what happen before. Its up to you as the reader to put them together and figure out what happen.

The only issue is everyone has something to hide and you have to see where the truth lies.
The story moved quickly and was a fast read. The narration did a really good job bringing the story together. Now a issue is none of the adult characters were likeable and I kinda didnt want a lot of them to have any justice.

Thank you Netgalley for this Audio arc in exchange for my honest thoughts.

As this was my first Emily Shiner novel so I wasn't sure what exactly to expect, but I did enjoy!

The story was very interesting and had me wanting to know more. I loved all the POV’s as it allowed me to see all the different perspectives.
I did find a times fine it hard to keep up with all the different pieces of information but how the story was told helped. Do have to say I loved the ending and how everything tied nicely together.

Overall this was a great thriller that had me wanting to find out more. I would recommend this book to all readers.

Thanks to Emily Shiner, NetGalley, and Bookouture for the ARC.

I loved the intertwined nature of every family and every character in this book. Emily Shiner writes an amazing story of families going through their daughter’s disappearance but also trying to hide dirty secrets.

High quality fast paced audio told from multiple pov had me listening totally engrossed, so many secrets between the characters and so many red herrings. The narration was spot on but due to the fast pacing you really need to concentrate on who's pov it is. This is fundamentally a story about secrets and relationships and how far will you go to keep one or hide one. Two girls vanished and as the police investigate we are thrown into more secrets. Highly enjoyable from start to end. I felt overwhelmed by the bang bang of reveal at the end and the epilogue seemed omg ott but perfect fort he characters, kinda want a sequel please....... Thank you netgallery , publisher, author and narrator.

Unfortunately I didnt like this book - the writing was too amateurish, it covered the part that each and every character had a secret that they were hiding and were running around in circles when 2 kids were missing - the narration was flat, annoying and eventually it just became too flat!

I would like to thank Netgalley, Bookouture Audio for approving this audio ALC
