I love this series and this instalment was no different. Lovely to revisit our previous couples and see how they’re getting on, whilst also getting lost in another ranch romance. A great holiday read, highly recommended.

Spicy romance set on an a ranch. Ginger (a teacher) and Cole (a ranch owner) have always fancied each other since high school and have met on numerous occasions as their families socialise.
Cole has a daughter Mabel, and needs childcare in the summer so asks Ginger to help and move into his annex.
Will they keep hands off each other? Of course not

Riding the High was an enjoyable read. It is/has:
• F/M friends-to-lovers romance
• Accidental marriage (Vegas)
• Forbidden element (best friend’s brother)
• Cowboy romance adjacent (MMC isn’t a cowboy but his family have a ranch)
• Dual POV
• Interconnected standalone, third book in Silver Pines series.
Overall, I am finding this series very consistent. Riding the High, like the previous books, is a romance focused story, which moves quite quickly (in part due to the short chapters). And once again we have a romance that also focuses on its spice elements.
I was looking forward to Cole and Ginger’s story, the previous books had hinted a push/pull tension between them. Riding the High gave us their history as well as the scenario for this story, i.e. hiding their accidental marriage so it has minimal impact to those around them. It contains many things I enjoy, a single parent MC, friends-to-lovers relationship progression, and an accidental Vegas marriage. These coupled with Ginger moving into a nanny-style role for the summer, felt like a lot of my trope boxes were ticked.
I have always enjoyed the Ashby family in this series, and this didn’t disappoint either! I particularly liked the text exchanges between Cole his brothers.
However, I felt there were a few little issues for me, which stopped me rating this higher; the pace of the story slowed as our main relationship obstacle was revealed towards the close of the book, which then felt underdeveloped, and resolved too easily and fast for me. Plus, I ended up feeling a little indifferent to some of our previous characters, which although good for focusing my attention on our current couple was an interesting feeling to have.
If you are a fan of Elsie Silver (either her Chestnut Springs or Gold Rush Ranch series) or Lyla Sage’s books, and you’ve not started the Silver Pines series then you will want to add this to your TBR.

What an incredible feeling to be back on Silver Pines Ranch for Cole & Ginger’s stunning love story.

This book is chock full of some of my favourite tropes, and with an amazingly free-spirited and feisty FMC like Ginger, you best believe I ate this one up and left no crumbs!!

Cole and Ginger’s relationship was teased during the first 2 books in this series, and it did not disappoint - I absolutely loved them!

Their flirty banter was top-tier, but what really sealed the deal for me was their secret friendship, which they both valued so much, and which formed a solid foundation for their romantic relationship.

I had an impression of Ginger from the first 2 books, and those character traits were consistent in this book, but we were also introduced to so many layers of her character. She formed such a sweet bond with Cole’s daughter, Mabel. She just really wanted the best for everyone she loved, and I adored her as a loyal and sassy FMC.

Cole was everything I hoped he would be. Hot single daddy, small town sheriff with a dirty mouth? Say less!! The spice was delicious, and as always with Paisley, Ginger gets her boss moments in the bedroom that I’ve come to expect from these Silver Pines ladies! 😍

One of my favourite things in Paisley’s stories is the representation of women and female relationships. I loved this so much. The female relationships in the book are to-die-for.

There is nothing I didn’t enjoy in Riding the High! It was such a good small town, modern romance. Epic banter, sizzling chemistry, legendary side characters and the perfect balance of plot and spice. Loved, loved, LOVED it!

Law daddy. Yes please. Book 3 in this series and once again I absolutely loved both the main characters! Parts of this were super spicy but there was such a good storyline to support it, just worked perfectly!

First of all, because I absolutely adored the first two books which I was so lucky to receive from NetGalley, I knew instantly I'd love this book. It was incredible to be able to speak with Paisley's team to ensure I received a copy, despite already having it on preorder. What can I say, this spice? Incredible! The banter? Absolutely hilarious and had me in hysterics at points. There was so many moments which had me kicking my feet and giggling, whist also hot and flushed. I would highly recommend this book and thank you so much for allowing me to have an ARC of this book 😍

I’ve been waiting for ginger and coles book since holding the reins !!!

I love me a single dad romance they’re some of my favourites and this book was no different. I loved cole & mabels relationship and watching ginger & mabel become closer than before was so cute !!!
‘daddys girls’ 😭😭

But for some reason I didn’t get the same vibes from this book than I did with the others. I don’t know what it was but something just didn’t click with the couple even though the chemistry in the other books was so good between them it felt like it lacked in this one. The beginning was promising with the flashbacks of their friendship but it felt as though it was lust and I love me some smut but it stuck out that that’s what cole was thinking about all the time (i might be wrong but that’s what stuck out in my head).

The spice was really good but I just wanted to see them fall in love and make me feel how the other books did but it just fell flat.

BUT this was still a good book I think I went in with too high expectations because I loved Cole and Ginger in all other books so much. I would still 100% recommend though.

Cole and Ginger have been friends for forever. They have always been attracted to each other so when they drunkenly get married in Vegas, they wonder if friends is all they want to be.

I wanted to like this so much more. I'm not sure if my book preferences are changing, but it felt like things moved too fast and once the spice hit, it overpowered the plot. I wanted more depth from the characters. I needed angst and emotions. Their relationship at times felt very lust driven. There was too much discussion about past hook ups for my liking.

I did appreciate that there was no third act break up. I also enjoyed Ginger's relationship with Cole's daughter, Mabel. Mabel was a cute kid and brought out some good sides of Ginger and Cole. Seeing more of the characters from the previous books was great too.

Overall, I just need more. I liked it, but unfortunately I didn't love it.

- Small Town
- Single Dad x Nanny
- Accidental Vegas Wedding
- Best Friend's Brother
- Friends to Lovers

Riding High by Paisley Hope is a sweet, feel-good romance with great characters and a lovely small-town vibe. The chemistry between the main characters was really enjoyable, and the storyline had just the right amount of drama and charm. It’s a light, easy read that left me smiling. A great choice for fans of uplifting romance!

A friends-to-lovers story that electrifies!

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC.

I just finished “Riding the High” the third installment of the Silver Pines Ranch series and I love every page of it!

If you like “Heartless” by Elsie Silver then you should definitely check out this book.
instead of sexy cowboy we get sexy sheriff!

I've been looking forward to their story since the first book!

Gingers and Coles story is full of banter, high chemistry and a lot of really sweet sence between Ginger and Mabel. I love Ginger's sarcasm and her repartee with Cole. And how sweet and gentle she is with Mabel.

Cole is the sheriff in the small town and Ginger calls him „Law Daddy“. The two have known each other for most of their lives and things are bubbling under the surface.
Cole is caring, funny and has a rugged charm. I fell for him pretty quickly!

I give “Riding the High” 5 out of 5 stars and highly recommend it!

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas; I'm not really fond of this trope to be honest. But, in this case, it's the blueprint that gets this book started.
I'm all for the small town, single dad, friends to lovers trope! So I had big hopes, and it didn't disappoint!
It was sexy, fun and unapologetic; they're both adults, and even if there is a bit of miscommunication, they always show up for one another.
A great read overall !
(English is not my first language; I apologize for my lack of... everything :) .)

book: riding the high
author: paisley hope

i COULD NOT WAIT for cole and ginger’s story and i am so happy to say that it did not disappoint! this is my favourite book in the silver pines ranch series so far, this series is getting better and better. paisley hope is fast becoming one of my favourite small town romance authors, i adore her writing, character building and humour (this book had me laughing out loud at multiple points! ginger’s sarcasm was hilarious and, as a sarcastic bitch myself, i related to her humour so much)

this book was HOT. the pining and the tension? ugh it was perfect. i am such a sucker for an accidental marriage and this was done so well. ginger and cole are the type of couple i finish reading about and think “yep… they’ll still be together in 50 years” which is EVERYTHING to me in a romance book, so thank you paisley. forehead kiss for you.

This book was a highly anticipated read for me! Sadly it did not fully live up to my expectations. The way Cole and Ginger were in the previous books is what I wanted. I found at time it was a tad bit cringy. Over I would recommend and did enjoy

Ginger Danforths life is regimented as the daughter of a local congressman and she's dying to break free from the restraints her fathers put on her. Cole Ashby is the newly appointed town sheriff and he wants to do well by his daughter as a single father and show the town they made the right choice in picking him. But when the crew heads to Las Vegas for a weekend away best friends Cole and Ginger play a wild game of truth or dare and wake up married. Unable to get an annulment they decide to spend the next ninety days together until Coles probationary period ends and Gingers father is re-elected. But the more time they spend together the more their marriage starts to feel real and they begin to realise there might have been feelings between them all along.

I really enjoyed this. I haven't read the rest of the series and wasn't sure if that would affect my enjoyment of this but it didn't though now I need to go get the rest of the books so I can read about all the other characters too. I liked Ginger and Coles dynamic of being best friends and seeing how they'd been there for each other throughout their lives for everything it really made their romance believable. Mabel was such a cute character and I loved how close she was with Cole and his family and how she became such fast friends with Ginger. This was very sexual and some scenes I felt weren't needed especially when serious conversations were needed. But this overall was a fun fast paced easy read.

I devoured this in one sitting and couldn’t look away for a second. I didn’t know what to expect going in, but Paisley completely blew me away. The emotional tension, the raw vulnerability of the characters, and the steady burn of attraction—it was all done so well. I’m still reeling.

A FEW KEY THINGS TO KNOW:
Set in a small mountain town
Friends to lovers
Second chances
Equine therapy setting 🐎
Grumpy/sunshine dynamic
Cowboy MMC (yes, the hat stays on)
Artist FMC
Slow-burn with heartfelt spice

This was such a strong 5 star read for me and I can’t stop thinking about it. I usually reach for urban or fantasy romance, but this felt like a breath of fresh mountain air—intimate, grounded, and full of heart.

Paisley Hope, you’ve got a new fan. If this is how she starts, I cannot wait to see what she writes next!

This book is 100% my favourite in the series. I really rooted for the characters to be together. Ginger and Mabel’s relationship was so cute. The cringy nicknames really bothered me and the amount of spice which brought the rating down. Also I didn’t enjoy how much Gemma and Brent were brought up, but that’s just because I hate them. By far my two favourite characters in the series!! Paisley Hope has really outdone herself!

“With Ginger by my side, I feel …… whole” ❤️

Man I really enjoyed this book. It had the perfect mix of banter as well as a little bit of longing and filled with delicious tension and spice. Cole and Ginger are truly meant to be and this might be my favourite book in the series!

Friends pining after each other for several years is my cup of tea as of lately and the tension from being each other's confidants to letting your emotions and bodies do the talking usually provides a great storyline for a romance book.

So, about Daddy Cole and Ginger. I love small town romances - adding the 'we got accidentally hitched up' element made me giggly - as nothing remains a secret in there, especially if your close friends suspect some serious foul play about your friendship.

Ginger fell as a pre-teen for the rule following womanizer, but only once acted on her feelings. The rejection stung and forever altered their relationship. They became a pair with Cole without the benefits. Keeping the fire close to not burn herself was a giant sacrifice, but seeing Cole trying to find his feet after a disastrous marriage was the denominator.

Cole's life was altered after the kiss more than 10 years ago. Ginger was warmth, chaos and temptation in his eyes - things he didn't allow himself to have. A night in Vegas proved to be the reason why. But close quarters made him weak, his resolve disappearing after a worrisome incident.

The match was lit in Vegas, but the fire burned brighter with no alcohol to fuel it.

The tug of will they or won't they in the first half of the book kept me going at a fast pace, the smuttier scenes were cowboy worthy and the sweet relationship with Cole's daughter regarding both MCs was a nice touch.

The banter and puns were funny and flirty. The dual POV also added an element of knowing all the little details of the relationship - although I sometimes prefer a single POV to provide extra tension.

I enjoyed Ginger and Cole's story, so much so that I'm thinking about reading the first two books in the series, as the side characters provided extra fun moments throughout this book.

It was my first book by Paisley - I was decently surprised about the flow and narrative choices. I've read hyped cowboy romances lacking depth in those departments lately, so I'm double glad to have received an ARC - it was a quick and fun read!
