This was everything I needed for Cole and Ginger. I’d been waiting hopelessly as they popped up in the first two books of the series and knew I needed their story.

What a brilliant couple they make! I love how their personalities complement each other. We see them come together with an accidental marriage in Vegas (which I loved) and find them navigating this secret whilst life changing events are happening for both of them.

I just loved the angst between the two and was waiting for them to finally give in to each other and their ridiculous chemistry. Plus big points for girl dad, Cole, who is quite literally a dream of a book boyfriend.

I’m not often a fan of the single parent trope, but Paisley did it so well with Cole and Mabel. And seeing how close Ginger and Mabel got was also lovely. The way they just fit together was lovely to read.

Now I just need Liv’s story. I’m waiting with bated breath.

Romance is my newest obsession so I snapped up the opportunity to read this early and it didn't disappoint. The 3rd in a series, Riding the High takes us back to Laurel Creek for Cole and Ginger's story. We get enemies to lovers, a secret marriage, forced proximity, and lots of spice! If I'm totally honest, initially I had some reservations about Cole - it didn't sit well with me that he was blaming his wife for the breakdown of his marriage while nurturing a secret, late night friendship with his sister's friend - however I got over it quickly! I loved their early banter and after Vegas I was squealing with glee and all in. Throughout the story, the tension and chemistry between Cole and Ginger was perfect and the single dad trope always gets me but it was the frenemies vibes and the domesticity of their situation that absolutely made the story for me. It's a close call, but I think this is my favourite of the series so far. If spicy, small town romance with a side of found family is your thing then this series is definitely for you.

Thank you to NetGalley and of course Queen Paisley for giving me this arc for review💘

This is the 3rd book in the silver pines series; we are following Ginger, Cece’s bestest friend. Ginger has had a secret for a while, she is secretly best friends with her brother, Cole. Cole is the sheriff, while also being a cowboy AND a single dad (SWOON) and thinks the world of Ginger. They decide to say “fuck it” and get absolutely wasted one night and do something that could ultimately wreck both of their lives. So they come to an agreement…
I REFUSE to say anymore and spoil it because this plot line is chefs kiss 😘

“It all just reminds me why I always take the dare. Because you can’t always wait for the perfect time to risk it all.”

Tropes we see:
🩷Best friend’s brother
💘Friends to lovers
🩷Forced proximity
💘Single dad
🩷Marriage
💘Found family

Paisley never disappoints, I knew this was going to be my favourite. I LOVED daddy Cole and I just want to be Ginger so bad, and her relationship with Mabel is everything. The spice was chefs kiss and I cannot wait for the next one. If you are looking for small town, cowboy perfection - look no further🕺🏼

Thank you to the publisher and netgalley for giving me an E-arc copy for review.

Riding the High was such a fun read for me. We follow two characters who have quite an extensive relationship. The FMC Ginger is friends with the MMC Cole’s sister, however Cole is always there for Ginger throughout her life.

When Cole’s sister and partner hold their bachelor parties in Vegas, something happens between Ginger and Cole that is pretty life changing.

We then follow both characters as they manoeuvre themselves through this new relationship and see their crushes for each other develop into an incredible romance.

I found this to be quite an easy read quite fast paced up until around the 55% mark, it did slow down a bit, however I really liked how there was no third act breakup and that the characters could actually talk through their feelings.

Overall a great read for people who love a good romance with spice!

Teenage crush on best friends brother grows as they mature in to adults. One divorce and a young daughter, juggling single parenthood for cole. Following her political dad's dictates for single ginger.
Best friends whilst denying the simmering attraction.
A joint stag and hen weekend in Vegas leads to unexpected complications.
Moving in to solve work and childcare dilemmas for the summer. Will it be a fling or something more permanent?
A highly sexed and descriptive book that will make your toes curl.

I saw the book promos and said “Single dad? Fake relationship? Yes, please!”

Riding The High hit all the sweet spots for me, and I couldn't get enough of it. Paisley has once again delivered a swoon-worthy story that had me glued to the pages from start to finish.

Unless you’re new around here, I adore single dad romances, and this one did not disappoint. The way Cole is both a dedicated father and a downright delicious love interest made my heart melt. His connection with his daughter is heartwarming and so beautifully written. I couldn’t help but fall for him as he navigates fatherhood while slowly falling for his nanny.

Speaking of Ginger - she was absolutely fantastic! I loved her strength and vulnerability, and her chemistry with Cole was straight up fire. Their friendship was so beautiful, and their relationship was even more so. The tension between them was palpable, and I couldn’t wait to see when they'd stop pretending and realize their feelings for each other were real. The slow burn was so satisfying!

Paisley did such an incredible job of weaving humor, emotion, and sizzling chemistry into a story that just feels so… comforting. It was the perfect balance of angst, lightheartedness, and swoon. Highly recommend this if you're looking for a Cowboy Romance with heart, SPICE, and a whole lot of charm.

Thanks to NetGalley and Penguin RH UK/Cornerstone Press for providing an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Ginger grew up in a strict household where even her clothes were controlled, but deep down, she longed for freedom. Cole, a single dad and sheriff of Laurel Creek, is fully committed to his job and daughter. A truth-or-dare game, alcohol, and a night in Vegas lead Ginger and Cole into an unexpected marriage deal.

No words can fully explain how I feel after reading this book! It took me on a ride - and I mean that literally. If I had to describe it, I’d say it was a whirlwind of emotions. I first read Paisley Hope’s book last year during my cowboy era and already loved her work, but this book made me a full-on FAN.

This is an EASY 5-star read for me—not just because I was lucky enough to get an early copy, but because it truly deserved every star. It was an absolute banger—what a fantastic novel!

If you love banter, top-tier chemistry, and forbidden romance, THIS. IS. IT. Cole and Ginger hooked me right from the start! One minute, I was sobbing my heart out, and the next, I was blushing because whoa! the spice?! Can a girl catch a break first? LOL. At 72%, I couldn't stop laughing.

Overall, I had so much fun laughing, screaming, crying, and trying to stay sane all at once—that’s how amazing this book was. I just can’t get enough of this couple! If you're an Elsie Silver fan like me, you definitely need to get your hands on this book—thank me later!

If you're still unsure about starting your cowboy era, it’s time to saddle up and start Riding the High—because trust me, you don’t want to miss out on these hotties! LOL.

(On a serious note: please do read your trigger warnings)

This will be formatted a little weird as I’ve had to pull some sections out, to put in the spoiler’s section so if you’re reading the full thing it might seem like I’m going back to the same point twice etc.

I have thoroughly got myself into a pickle here, but for life of me I cannot fathom how the men in this series get better and better with each book. I love Nash, yet Wade made him seem like a child in comparison but Sheriff Cole Ashby? You just know Wade is shaking in his boots now that he has reached his full potential. Cole is the epitome of male pride, and not in the gross incel way, but in the this is my family and I’m the one that gets to work to take care of them way. This is my town and I’m the one that gets to do whatever I can to make it a better place way. He is absolutely preening and him coming into his own in this book.

Ginger on the other hand, continues to be perfect insanity that has been Ginger for the past two books. She is the wild child with a heart. She’s the friend you would trust with you new born, but not to pick you up on time. Her vulnerability shows throughout this book, but it really wasn’t a big deal because it came to her so naturally. I have never had a bad thing to say about her and I doubt I ever will. It was nice to meet some of her family and learn a bit more of why Ginger is the way she is, but overall, she is just flawless.

“It’s been you for so f*cking long, Ginger… you’re the baseline I compared every woman to. You’re the one I sought”..

My favourite part about this book, by far was the friendship between the two. The more the book went on and the more little flash backs and tid bits we got of them, the more I just fell in love with their connection. It’s so boyish yet reliable and I’m just really drawn to the fact that the two people of the group that they would all consider the ‘wild cards’ are the two that happen to have been there for each other more consistently, quietly and yet fiercely that the rest.

Once they truly like got together, they just didn’t stop. They did nothing else for like 10 chapters. Listen, I’m not complaining but that was a real cruel thing to do to us after such a twisted and elongated slow burn.

Wade genuinely shocked me a bit in this one, I kind of thought of him a bit oblivious to everyone around’s inner workings, but the amount of times he had Cole’s number throughout this book was entirely comical and it started oh so early. I just genuinely didn’t think he was that observant. Nash and especially Cece did nothing for me in the first like 60% of this book, they were just annoying background chatter, once their wedding had been and gone, they finally seemed to blend in to the plot a bit better and returned to the charters we know and love. Maybe this is true of people who are planning a wedding. Mama Jo and Papa Dean continue to a hilarious joy.

We have to talk about Mabes. Listen, I’m not really a kid person but oh my jesus christ, this little girl tore my heart apart and sewed it back together at least twenty times throughout the course of this book. She is just a little baby, she is literally bare feet running through fields, as care free as you can be. Yet, at the same time she has this maturity to her. In a way she’s been forced to mature her emotions quicker than she should have had to because of her god-awful mother. I just can’t get over an innocent little eight-year-old getting sick with anxiety over the thought of someone she love’s being lonely, of bad dreams affecting her essential sleep, of putting on a brave face because she knows what the moment needs.

The only books I have read from this author are the one’s in this series and let me tell you the smut in these books is on another level for a book of this genre. I don’t know why I’ve put it off for this long, but I will definitely be diving into more of Hope’s backlog. They were all good, but Cole and Ginger are on another level. I don’t know if maybe I am just infatuated with Cole and in love with Ginger or vice versa, but these scenes were pure gold. Cannot for the life of you keep your legs still and genuinely blushing gold. Anything from Gingers POV, genuinely made me feel like a teenager talking to my friend hot older brother, so this definitely hit the mark.

I just loved these characters. Cole, Ginger and Mabel are some of my favourites and this is going straight to the top of my single dad charts. If this series continuing to get better, I think I’m going to end up on another planet after the nest book so bring it on. Haden seem like he’s going to be an utter role in the mud from the few crumbs of him we’ve had, and Cassie is still pretty much a complete mystery other that she’s Ivy’s sister. So, it seems like were moving into unknown territory. I’m down if you are.

*BIGGER BOY SPOILERS*

The second he started calling her Mrs. Ashby it was game over for me.

Why did ginger not tell Cole about Brent earwigging on her at the bar and then again about him looking suspicious rifling through stuff at the police station? Even if it didn’t directly involve him, which both situations did, why do couples in romance novels just happen to not tell their partners things like this? You just know it’s going to blow up in their faces. It almost makes the up coming plot point too obvious. I didn’t hate the storyline; I mostly like how Cole handled it (why do I like how smug he is??) but I just think the whole situation could have been avoiding by Ginger cutting it off at the ankles to begin with.

The thing about Cole, is that from an outside perspective, I can totally see how it could be easily concluded that he is taking advantage of Ginger, after all she is perceivably carrying out the ‘wifely duties’ so to speak, without the wife title *cough*. As a reader though, you don’t have that same outside perspective as say Cece, or Olvia would, you have the perspectives of Ginger and Cole and there is no way to see this story through either of their perspectives and not look at Cole and see that everything he is, is genuine.

I kind of wish we had more of reaction from the family about the wedding announcement. Listen, I know this is all happy chappy times books, but I was agging for a bit of a kick off from Cece. I really thought she was going to throw a hissy from not being the first ones married and let me tell you, I would have lived for it. I love Cece, I truly do but I think she annoyed me more in the first half of this book then I realised.

Another amazing instalment in the Silver Pines series! I’m so glad I discovered Paisley’s books, they’re all gorgeously written and super steamy. I can’t wait for Cassie & Haden’s book!

Riding the High is definitely my favourite book of this series. I absolutely loved the build up of tension and relationship between Cole and Ginger. This book packs in lots of tropes such as friends to lovers, accidental marriage and single Dad/nanny but it does them all so well. I found myself not able to put his book down. This book has such great characters and enough of a plot to keep the story interesting. Overall a really well done romance to finish off this series!

I got glimpses of Cole and Ginger throughout the whole series and the tension between them was delicious and enticing, their little cat & mouse game funny and entertaining so obviously I was over the moon to be able to read a copy of this book ahead of its launch on May 6th.

Tropes:
✨Friends to lovers
✨Nanny x Single dad
✨Forced proximity
✨Small town sheriff cowboy

To say I loved this book is an understatement. I thought it couldn’t get better from Training the Heart and my love for Wade Ashby, but Cole placed himself closely on second position. The way he yearns for Ginger, the little acts of service he does for her, the way he supports her in everything she does did me in. I loved the tension between them and how their hidden friendship bloomed into one of the most beautiful love stories I read this year.

In terms of spice, it’s not a secret Paisley Hope writes smut like it’s an Olympic sport she excels in. The scenes were incendiary, and dominated the second half of the book, but I never felt it was too much or that it distracted me from the story.

Ginger might be my favourite FMC of this series, she made me giggle throughout the whole book, she is sexy, wild and free and I aspire to become just like her 🫠

The Silver Pines Ranch universe is chaotic but fun, full of banter and love as well as a gracious family setting. Each character had the space to evolve in their own books and I loved the journey the author took me on.

If you're a fan of forbidden romance and secret relationships, this book will have you hooked. It blends emotional tension with the struggle of balancing personal dreams and unexpected love. Cole and Ginger's relationship is one to root for — built on years of history rather than the usual instalove. The depth of their connection makes their story feel authentic and truly heartwarming. And let's not forget Ginger’s bond with Cole’s daughter, Mable — their relationship adds such a sweet, meaningful layer to the plot.

Now, I’ll admit that friends-to-lovers isn’t usually my go-to trope, but this one totally won me over. The flashbacks to their younger years really help you understand the evolution of their relationship, and their playful baseball rivalry is just too cute. If you’re a fan of authors like Elsie Silver or Lucy Score, this one’s definitely worth picking up.

My favourite book in the series so far 😍

I loved the dynamic between Cole and Ginger from the very beginning, when I knew this book was theirs I couldn’t wait to get started. The chemistry between the two of them is undeniably. As the story unfolded I didn’t want it to end, I loved Ginger and Mabel’s bond forming, it was adorable. It felt like Cole and Ginger didn’t have to change their dynamic as their relationship developed they were still them just…. more. Such an enjoyable and easy read!

I have been foaming at the mouth for this book since reading snippets of Cole and Ginger in the first two books, and let me tell you- it did not disappoint 🤤!!

The tension and chemistry between Cole and Ginger has been building for 2 books, and in this book- it finally snaps 😍

I love their unique and dynamic relationship, the mischief from Ginger, the mouth on Cole 🫢, the secret pining between the pair and the unmatchable bonds between their families and friends is something I will always hold close to my heart.

This story is light but packed with plot twists, banter and a lot of laugh out loud moments 🥹 Ginger is sassy, feisty and has a heart the size of a house. Cole is strong, fierce and loves with every ounce of his being. And Mabel is just a little queen! 👑 Her relationship with her dad and Ginger is so heartwarming 😊

Plus, the Brooklyn 99 references ended me!!

My favourite quote;

This story was everything I wanted it to be and more and I cannot thank @authorpaisleyhope & @netgalley for approving me for this ARC review.

Wow i’m on a high 🤭 This book will certainly put me in a book hangover because Paisley DID IT AGAIN! Ahh seriously this woman can do it all and I couldn’t get enough.

I had missed all of these characters so so much. You don’t understand how much Silver Pines is on my mind and oh boy it was so good to be back. These two are level with Nash and CeCe so that goes to show that Cole and Gingers relationship is everything to me.

The chemistry between Cole and Ginger was off the charts. The tension at the start was SO GOOD. Like guys i’m actually so giddy for them it’s wild 😆 The spice was INCREDIBLE and special mention to that handcuff scene because that scene will be my roman empire. Dare I say it’s actually Paisleys best spice scene she’s written 🥵🥵🥵

I also loved the family dynamic Cole and Ginger and Mabel developed. Mabel was missing a full time mother figure and the fact that Ginger stepped up was so beautiful to see. Ginger fit right in and she truely was the piece missing to their puzzle.

I couldn’t fault a thing about this book. I was loving every second of it and was honestly so sad it was over. The epilogue wrapped it up so nicely and it makes me so excited to the next book! Bring on Cassie and Haden!

I've been SO excited to read Ginger and Cole's story since the first book! Paisley kept dropping hints, and I knew their story would be amazing - and it was!

Ginger and Cole have been best friends forever, secretly pining for each other for years. A drunken Vegas wedding and some forced proximity later, they finally get together, and it's emotional, hilarious, and super steamy. Cole's got a seriously dirty mouth, and I loved every second 🥵

I loved the bond that formed between Cole's daughter Mabel and Ginger. It was heartwarming and felt so natural. My heart dropped every time Mabel's birth mother let her down, but Ginger was always there for her ❤️

The only thing that has stopped me giving this a 5 star rating was Cole's history of being a manwhore and his trips out of town. It didn't quite match up with this walking green flag of a man!

If you haven't picked this series up yet, stop what you are doing and search for book one, Holding the Reins.

Riding the High is available to purchase on 24th April, or you can preorder it now.

Cole Ashby is no longer single. He's no longer his own man. Because I have claimed him as MINE and WILL NOT LET HIM GO. OMG Paisley. LAW DADDY is right!! I knew there was something special coming with Cole and Ginger's story. And you proved me right. I was obsessed with Nash and CeCe. Then Wade and Ivy. But Cole and Ginger take the top prize because I will never get over these two. Top book and couple of the series.

If you've been reading the series since Holding the Reins, you know that there was more to Cole and Ginger than they ever let on. Turns out, they've been secret friends FOR YEARS. Ginger has helped Cole deal with the breakup of his marriage and navigating single fatherhood. They love to binge Brooklyn Nine Nine together (like, SAMESIES, I LOVE B99). And then they go and get accidentally married in Vegas while there for Nash and CeCe's bacholor/bachelorette parties. Instead of getting divorced, they decide to stick it out for the summer to help Cole's image as newly elected sheriff and Ginger can help with his daughter Mabel during the summer. And oh yeah, they looooooove each other.

I was and still am obsessed with these two. They've come such a long way over the years. They are tried and true BEST FRIENDS (although secret best friends) and always have each other's backs. Their relationship flowed so beautifully and I was so anxiously awaiting when they would succumb to their insane chemistry together. And it was EVERYTHING. Law Daddy can GET.IT. This story was filled with chemistry, banter, laugh out loud moments and such passion. I loved every word I read.

Each book in this series just gets better and better. When I don't think she can top the previous book, she outdoes herself. I will be a Paisley Hope stan for life. I'd read that woman's grocery list. Keep these cowboys and their women coming Paisley. I am along for the ride with you.

Although I am a smutty cowboy connoisseur and a lover of a ranch based romance this series is new to me. After I was lucky enough to recieve this as an ARC I went into this as a Paisley Hope virgin with absolutely no expectations at all.

I have read most of the "classics" like the likes of elsie silver and, with the genre feeling a little overflowing at the moment, I didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did.

The bond that Ginger and Cole had was refreshing and felt so real. It was nice to read about a relationship built on years of history rather than the ever popular instalove that seems to be happening in every new romance that is released.

The spice was pretty tame imo and didn't overpower the storyline, it all felt very appropriate to the characters.

Overall I felt like it was a solid 3⭐️ book. And it's made me want to read the rest of the series!!

Rounded up to four stars 🌟

This was an enjoyable read and I especially enjoyed the glimpses we go of the characters from the previous books!

My issues were that this book seemed to be more spice than plot and there were parts that had me rolling my eyes, e.g. when Cole claimed that it had always been Ginger that he loved yet that didn’t stop him from sleeping with many other women! I think the reformed f*ckboy trope just doesn’t really work for me when they have known each over for years and then it took something like a drunken marriage for you to realise your feeling for Ginger?!🙄

Anyway if you enjoy spice, and have enjoyed Paisley Hope’s other books then I would recommend this!

I received an ARC from the publishers in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!
