Best Friends brother
Secret Marriage
Small Town
Single Dad x Nanny
Dual POV
Omg did I love this book? I absolutely did, I loved the previous two couples in this series but Cole and Ginger now take the top spot of favourite couple for me. I loved how well they suited each other and you could just feel the chemistry between the two of them. The way their family unit just evolved so naturally when it came to Mabel just had me kick my feet with happiness. How on earth they managed to keep their marriage is beyond me, I really enjoyed the Vegas addition of the story and I wouldn't expect anything else from these two. You read their story and are like yeah that sounds exactly like something they would do.
There’s not many things that make me happier than two people who have liked each other for years finally tell each other their feelings and act on them.
I think I fell more in love with Ginger & Mabels relationship than I did Ginger & Cole. When a child is written right they can become my favourite thing about a book. The way they have the wit and just say things as they are.
I loved the previous two books but this has solidified Paisley Hope as an auto read author for me now, I’m excited to read the other books she has published.

Paisley Hope has officially secured a spot on my must-read list. Every time I pick up one of her books, I know I’m in for a good time — and this one might just be my favorite yet.
Cole Ashby is everything I didn’t know I needed — brooding, rugged, and unexpectedly soft when it comes to his daughter. There’s something about a man who’d move mountains for his kid that just *hits different*.
Then there’s Ginger — vibrant, ambitious, and tired of playing by everyone else’s rules. Watching her break out of the box she’s been shoved into was as satisfying as it was inspiring.
From their very first scene, Cole and Ginger had this undeniable spark. But it wasn’t just the tension (though yes, the heat was *serious*) — it was the way they pushed each other to grow.
This story felt like a slow burn in all the best ways: emotional, steamy, and full of character depth.
I loved how it didn’t shy away from the messiness of life — the challenges of parenting, the fear of starting over, the weight of expectations. It was real, but still managed to be a total escape.
Every chapter made me smile, swoon, or scream “just kiss already!” at my Kindle.
By the end, I wasn’t just rooting for their happily ever after — I *needed* it.
There’s something magical about a romance that makes you believe in fresh starts and second chances.
I didn’t want it to end, and now I’m nursing a full-blown book hangover.
Paisley, please never stop writing.

I devoured this book like it was the last cupcake at a party and I have zero regrets. 5 massive sparkly stars from me ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐—this book is spicy, swoony, and seriously emotional in all the best ways. Cole Ashby and Ginger Danforth? My Roman Empire. Let’s unpack the chaos, shall we?

“Save a horse, ride the sheriff?” – Ivy knew EXACTLY what she was doing with that line 😏🔥
Right so, if you’ve read Holding the Reins and Training the Heart like I did, you’ll already know Cole and Ginger had something brewing beneath the surface. And when I tell you I have been waiting for their book like it was my birthright?! The way it delivered on every single level… I actually ascended.
We kick things off with a classic “whoops we got married in Vegas” scenario 🥂💒 but instead of a quick annulment, these two chaotic legends decide to fake stay married. Ginger’s dad needs her squeaky clean image intact for his campaign, and Cole’s trying to lock in the sheriff job full-time—soooo fake marriage it is. Except... it doesn’t stay fake for very long 🫣

“Good afternoon, Mrs Ashby...In case you don’t remember, we have a big fucking problem.”
Yep. A big, hot, married-by-accident problem.😅

Let’s talk Cole, a.k.a. Law Daddy, the hottest single dad in all of Laurel Creek. I’m not even being dramatic when I say this man had my heart by chapter one. The way he treats Mabel? I was ready to offer him MY hand in marriage too.
"He has no idea what it's like to have your heart walk around outside your body every damn day."
Like ??? 🥹 protect him at all costs. He doesn’t badmouth Mabel’s mum, just quietly steps up every single time. And watching Ginger fall in love with both of them? Top-tier content.
_____________________
And then there’s Ginger, our chaotic queen 👑 Loud, bold, unapologetically herself—but also a bit lost underneath all that sparkle. She’s spent her life trying to meet her dad’s impossible expectations, so when Cole sees her for exactly who she is and tells her she’s enough? I sobbed. Like full-on ugly crying.
“But Ginger...this? Us? It’s fucking everything.”
Yes it IS, Cole!!! 😭

Their chemistry??? Through the flipping ROOF. Every glance, every touch, every “accidental” sleepover had me kicking my feet and giggling like a teenager.
"Eyes here, baby. I've waited years to give in to this. I want all your attention on me."
“You’re always the only thing I see, Cole.”
No because HOW is that legal?? Someone call the actual sheriff, I’m unwell.
And don’t get me started on the truth or dare game that started it all. That little tradition between them is equal parts adorable and deadly because:
"If you don't want to be my one-night stand... then it's a good thing we're in Vegas. I dare you to marry me, Ginger, so I can properly fucking worship you–"
💀💀💀

Also, the text messages? ICONIC. Genuinely love how Paisley Hope uses them—it makes the characters feel real and relatable. Like you’re reading your bestie’s spicy messages and living vicariously.
“"I need you to come over tonight."
"You know vows don't actually say "obey" anymore, right?"
_____________________
Now let's talk Mabel, the cutest lil’ scene-stealer 🧸 Her bond with Ginger melted me into a puddle. She’s whip smart, sweet as sugar, and totally ships her dad with Ginger. Same, babes.
"We're all a team...Me, you and Daddy."
Let me cry in found family real quick 😭💗
And speaking of family—it was so good being back in Silver Pines with everyone! The cameos from CeCe, Nash, Ivy, Wade, Liv, and Jo were chef’s kiss. I love when small-town romance feels like coming home.

Honestly, this book was everything. It gave me flirty banter, found family, an alpha softie with a badge, a chaotic sunshine girl with a soft heart, and a fake marriage that turned realer than real. It was steamy, hilarious, and heart-warming with just the right amount of emotional tension
.
"It's always been you, Ginger...And I have no fucking clue what to do about that besides maybe keep you."
"I don't know what to do either...Besides maybe let you."
I–I’m gonna need a moment 🥹💘

Final thoughts?
✨ If you love small-town charm
✨ Friends to lovers, but make it drunken marriage in Vegas
✨ Hot single dads
✨ And characters who actually communicate and respect each other???
Then Riding the High is for you.
"It all just reminds me why I always take the dare. Because you can't always wait for the perfect time to risk it all."
Same, Ginger. SAME.
I took the dare and read this book—and it was bloody perfect 🥂💗

I loved this book!! And devoured about 50% in a day
Give me: single dad x nanny, forced proximity, drunken marriage in Vegas, secret relationship and best friends brother, small town romance and I will eat it up every time!!
I love a book with long term mutual crushes, it adds such a great depth to the characters and builds so much yearning
I really enjoyed the plot of this book and glad that it continued strongly throughout rather than being lost under all the spice in the second half, like what happened with the previous books in this series
The kid is adorable and I love the friendship between her and the main female character
If you love small town romance you'll love this series, it's so good and I highly recommend this book in pa ticular, it'll be great to read over the summer
- small town romance
- single dad x nanny
- secret relationship
- drunken marriage in Vegas
- best friends brother
- forced proximity
- long term mutual crushes
- dual pov, 1st person

I knew this was going to be my favourite… I JUST KNEW IT!
I’ve been (impatiently) waiting for Cole and Ginger’s story, and it did not disappoint—I devoured it in one sitting.
Cole is Ginger’s best friend’s older brother, and they’ve had a secret friendship simmering for years. So when a weekend trip leads to a drunken secret Vegas wedding? I was hooked. The chemistry, the tension, the history—it was everything I wanted and more.
I already adore Silver Pines and the big, chaotic Ashby family and friends—but now I also love myself a sheriff!
And Ginger with Mabel? So, so sweet. Their bond added so much to the story.
Riding the High brings the small-town charm, all the tension, and yes—we’ve get spice too. If you’ve been waiting for their book like I have, you’re going to love every page.
Now, if November could just please hurry up, I’m very intrigued by Hayden’s book!
4.25⭐️
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Paisley Hope is fast becoming an auto-buy author for me. I am addicted to the Silver Pines series. I cannot, and I mean C A N N O T get enough. Ugh!
Give me a sexy, grumpy cowboy any day of the week but add in the fact that he’s a single dad and I am done for.
Meet Cole Ashby. Cole-FREAKIN’-Ashby.
I drank this book. It was absolutely fantastic. It made me so happy - and sad at times - but my gosh, Ginger and Cole give life goals.
Ginger and Cole’s characters are so well written. I was addicted to them from the start. I loved seeing how caring, kind and determined Cole was for his daughter. You can really tell she’s the light of his life, and everything he strives for is for her.
Ginger, is feisty and fun. She wants to get out from living in her father’s shadow and make a name for herself - do what she wants for a change.
I felt this book was all about change for both characters. The coming together and standing on your own two feet, live life to the fullest is the feeling these two gave me. Their chemistry was out of control, it was hot and super, super sexy. The smut was smutting! 🥵
I just adored it and need more. I want more. I feel I have major book hangover from this. A massive, huge thanks to @netgalley and @penguinrandomhouse for allowing me access to this ARC. You made my year.

I really enjoyed this friends-to-lovers, best friend's brother, secret romance story. Ginger and Cole had great chemistry, and I loved that it was rooted in a really strong friendship first and foremost. After having been each other's Partner in Crime and having supported one another for some time, both are wary of risking what they already have for something more, but after a bit of a drunken mishap forces them closer than ever before, it's time to address the attraction between them once and for all.
This is a fun and flirty romance with plenty of humour and spice. It will definitely appeal to fans of Elsie Silver, with the small town, large family vibes. In addition to the Ashbys (and the adorable Mabel), we also get to know Ginger's family a little, and I loved seeing her Italian roots. While this is the third book in the series, it's perfectly fine to read it as a standalone. In fact, I had read book 1 and didn't enjoy it all that much, skipping out on book 2. But the writing here felt much more solid, and I'm glad I took another chance on the author. It's one of those books that isn't necessary groundbreaking but ticks all the boxes and does them well, making for a really enjoyable read.

I’ve been waiting for Cole and Ginger’s story for so long and Paisley did not disappoint!! I loved that they were secret friends to lovers, single dad x nanny, with forced proximity and best friend’s brother. And they were hot too 🫠 this series is so special to me, and I cannot wait for Silver Pines book 4

4⭐️ What Happens in Vegas... Might Just Be Forever!
This book has the whole 'wake up with a hangover, only to discover you've accidentally married your longtime friend in Vegas' trope. Is that a trope? Idk, but the thing is that our FMC here... she kind of likes it. In this third installment of the Silver Pines Ranch series, and since I've already read books 1 & 1, I can tell you with complete certainty that this one is even better! With the chaotic charm of surprise nuptials, small-town secrets, and a slow-burn romance that hits all the soft spots, this book really takes this little world to the next level!!
Cole Ashby is our classic cowboy with a twist—single dad, newly minted sheriff, and trying really hard to prove he’s not just the safe choice, but the right choice for the job. Ginger Danforth? She’s the picture of public poise with a rebellious streak she tries -and often fails- to keep under wraps. Together, they’re a match made in accidental??-Vegas-wedding heaven.
The chemistry between them was insane and it felt so genuine, with a lot of sweet moments—especially when Ginger starts helping out with Cole’s daughter for the summer. Watching them both try to resist the emotional pull while basically playing house? A+ romantic tension. The story balanced humor, heartfelt, painful moments, and enough “uh-oh, I think we’re catching feelings” moments to keep me flipping pages
There were a few points where the pacing dipped, especially when the characters circled the same emotional conflict a little too long (yes, we get it, reputations are fragile, you're dad kind of a d!ck, and being a dad can be scary), but it wasn’t enough to dull the sparkle of the romance or just-married glow.
🌶️🌶️🌶️/5 – If you know anything about this series, you know that these pretty little covers pack some HEAT inside them. From sultry looks to a blink-and-you'll-miss-it crazy-hot “oops we’re married” wedding night, and lots of shared longing that finally blows up into an inferno. Also, a lot of 'my wife' moments. I know!
This is an eARC! Thank you Net Galley and publisher for providing me with this early copy of the book!!

Paisley Hope's Riding the High delivers everything you could want in a contemporary romance - sizzling chemistry, laugh-out-loud banter, and heartwarming family dynamics that will make you swoon. As the third installment in the Silver Pines series, this book stands strong on its own while beautifully expanding the world we've come to love.
The story follows Cole Ashby, Laurel Creek's newly appointed interim sheriff and devoted single dad, and Ginger Danforth, the fiery daughter of a Kentucky congressman itching to break free from her polished political persona. When a wild weekend in Vegas leads to an impulsive wedding ceremony (because what happens in Vegas... doesn't always stay in Vegas), these two find themselves in a marriage of convenience that quickly becomes anything but convenient.
What makes this romance truly special is the depth of connection between Cole and Ginger. Their relationship isn't just built on physical attraction - though trust me, the chemistry is electric - but on years of secret friendship and unspoken longing. The way Hope reveals their history through perfectly placed flashbacks adds delicious tension to their present-day predicament.
Cole is the ultimate book boyfriend - a rugged lawman with a heart of gold, especially when it comes to his daughter Mabel. Watching this typically composed sheriff unravel for Ginger is pure delight. And Ginger? She's a revelation - a bold, independent woman who's spent her life playing a role, finally finding the freedom to be herself. Their push-and-pull dynamic crackles with energy, making every interaction a treat to read.
The real scene-stealer might be Mabel, Cole's precocious eight-year-old daughter. Her relationship with Ginger develops organically and adds such warmth to the story. Their bonding moments - from gardening to impromptu dance parties - will melt even the coldest heart.
Hope's writing shines in the intimate moments between Cole and Ginger. The love scenes are steamy yet emotional, blending heat with genuine connection. One particularly memorable scene involving sheriff's handcuffs will live rent-free in my mind for... well, probably forever.
What sets this apart from typical romance tropes is the lack of unnecessary drama. There's no manufactured third-act breakup - just two adults navigating complicated feelings with maturity and humor. The conflict arises naturally from their situation rather than miscommunication, making their eventual commitment all the more satisfying.
The Silver Pines setting continues to charm, with cameos from previous couples that feel like catching up with old friends. The epilogue provides the perfect happily-ever-after while hinting at more stories to come in this delightful world.
Riding the High cements Paisley Hope as a must-read author in the contemporary romance space. With its perfect blend of humor, heat, and heart, this is one cowboy romance that absolutely earns its five stars. Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be over here impatiently waiting for the next Silver Pines story!

I have been waiting for Cole ‘law daddy’ and Gingers story’s since the first couple books I read in this series and it did not disappoint.
I LOVE the trope of bests friend brother, put in single dad and a man of the law with a filthy mouth ??? God damn I was hooked from the first chapter !
I enjoyed the background of their friendship over the years and seeing how they developed living together was beautiful to read. I also LOVED seeing Gingers relationship with Mabel develop.
Also that’s epilogue?? Damnnn !
Overall really enjoyed this book, the only little gripe I had was that Cole says he has always wanted Ginger but his way of showing that over the years was to try and sleep with other women ? I didn’t quite get that part but apart from that another great cowboy romance ❤️

loved this!! i loved all the characters so much. was so fun and enjoyable, i couldn't put it down! Can’t wait to go read the first two books now!
accidental marriage/ single dad/ best friend's brother / small town/ secret friends to lovers/ town's sheriff x nanny

I’ve been obsessed with Cole and Ginger since book one of Silver Pines. You could already tell there was something going on between them, so this was a highly anticipated read for me.
And Paisley absolutely delivered! If I thought I was obsessed with Cole and Ginger before, it’s nothing compared to how I feel about them now. I’m absolutely feral!
Cole and Ginger’s secret friendship was adorable! These two first and foremost connected as friends, and I loved seeing how they leaned on each other in difficult situations - how supportive they were, how much they cared, and how deeply they understood each other in a way no one else did. Their banter? So fun. Had me smiling like an idiot. And so did the undeniable attraction and pull between them, which they tried their best to fight to preserve their friendship, which I respect, but also, GIVE IN ALREADY!
But one fateful and drunken night in Vegas finally made them snap, and the next morning, they woke up in the same bed - with wedding bands on their fingers. When an immediate annulment isn’t possible, they decide to stay secretly married for 90 days—until Cole is out of his probation as county sheriff and Ginger’s dad’s re-election campaign is over. With Ginger looking after Cole’s daughter, the newlyweds are forced to spend a lot of time together. Faced with the feelings they’ve been hiding for years… will they still go through with the divorce at the end of summer?
I knew from the very start of Silver Pines series that I was going to be absolutely in love with Ginger when we finally got her story. She’s strong, funny, loyal, hot!, and full of love and care. Her relationship with Mabel truly melted my heart - she was so good with her, always showing up for her when her mum didn’t. These two had so many adorable moments, and I don’t know how Law Daddy didn’t melt into a puddle watching them, because I know I would have.
Paisley writes some of the best MMCs! I swear I fall for every single one of them. But Cole Weston Ashby? This man is a full package and I was NOT ready for him. A hotttt sheriff with a filthy mouth, a GIRL DAD whose daughter is his whole world, AND who says “it’s always been you”?!?! Oh, AND wait until you find out about the secret on his body!!! OH! AND he calls Mabel and Ginger Daddy’s girls!!! I need Paisley to stop ruining all MMCs for me - she’s already ruined all real men for me, and now she’s coming for my other book boyfriends too.
I loved seeing Cole be an absolute simp for Ginger and watching their relationship shift from friends to lovers. Because of their years of friendship, they already had such a strong foundation, connection, and deep understanding of each other. Seeing them finally find their way to each other and admit their feelings made me so happy and emotional!
Paisley not only writes the best MMCs, but she also knows what she’s doing when it comes to spicy scenes. Training the Heart was my favourite for those scenes, but Riding the High is now right there with it!
I had very high expectations for this book - I’d been teased with Ginger and Law Daddy for two books—and every single one of them was exceeded! I swear, each book in this series just keeps getting better and better, and I DON’T KNOW HOW THAT’S POSSIBLE!
Thank you NetGalley, Random House UK, Cornerstone for this e-arc in exchange for my honest review

This was such an amazing book I loved every second of it !! The spice the plot the whole story was just chefs kiss five star rating from me it was bloody good!! I’ll need to read the rest now since I’ve started

This book had me hooked, it added onto the previous two beautifully. The plot was lovely, and gave you exactly what you want from a cosy cowboy romance. The character development was amazing, the links to the families and how they all interact was just brilliant.
I loved the way it added extra detailing to the lives of previous man in characters, but this was done in such a way that it could also be a standalone. The family relationships with the Ashby’s is so sweet, the way they all have each others backs and love each other is amazing.
I loved Ginger, she was sassy, kind and funny. Cole was an amazing dad, and this really added to his appeal in the story. Mabel is so funny, and her relationship with Ginger is heartwarming.
This was probably my favourite of the 3 books. A must read!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I thought Wade was my favourite Ashby brother, but after this book, "Law Daddy," Cole has definitely replaced him!!
This book is for you if you like:
✅️ Best friend's brother
✅️ Secret friends to lovers
✅️ Drunk Vegas wedding
✅️ A dirty mouthed MMC
✅️ Single dad/ Nanny
I was so ready for this book after how much I loved the first two. With a single dad/ best friends brother and a drunken night in Vegas that wouldn't be complete without a wedding! I loved Cole and Ginger's friendship, and even though they pushed each other's buttons, they still had each other's backs. Even with people trying to scheme and blackmail, they work together so well. Seeing Ginger take on her new role and seeing her and Mabel form their own little team was extra cute, especially when they gang up on Cole! Also, let's just take a moment to appreciate Cole's dirty mouth 🥵
Thank you for the arc of this book for my honest review. This series just keeps getting better!

This was a classic Paisley Hope book. It has the tropes, the cowboys/cowgirl vibes and the spice. The romance was enjoyable and entertaining and the atmosphere was just beautiful.
I will say I didn’t connect to certain parts of the writing and the storyline as much as I had hoped but I still had a good time and would recommend to those who enjoy a cowboy romance vibe.

This book was everything I wanted for Cole and Ginger—grumpy lawman meets sassy southern belle in a chaotic, Vegas wedding gone very right. The fake marriage trope? Immaculate. The chemistry? Off the charts. And let’s not forget Cole’s devotion to his daughter, which made him even more irresistible.
Paisley Hope nails the tension and slow burn, balancing the spice with genuine emotional depth. I’m not usually a single-parent trope girlie, but Cole and Mabel’s bond (and how naturally Ginger fit into their world) completely won me over.
If you love small-town romance, sizzling tension, and a cowboy who doesn’t even need the hat to be hot, this one’s for you. Now, where’s Liv’s book? I need it yesterday.

I took my time with this one. Not because I wanted to, but because I knew the soon as it was finished I’d have an empty feeling in my chest that it’s over.
This has been a HUGE anticipated read for me and it did not disappoint. Absolutely NO NOTES. Cole Ashby is absolutely DIVINE and he didn’t even have to wear a cowboy hat. I have been ACHING for Cole and Ginger’s story since Holding the Reins and I knew it was going to be tasty. I love me a dirty cowboy, but a law daddy? Say less. The pining, the chemistry, the dirty talk, I ATE IT UP.
I thought my heart belonged to Nash Carter but Cole Ashby came in and stole the thunder for sure. Ginger is the perfect fit sassy southern belle to Cole’s grumpy single dad trait. His love and dedication to his daughter is something so pure and brightly beautiful. Let’s not forget our sweet little Mabel, no one could fit for her like Ginger did.
I giggled, sweated, kicked my feet and had my jaw on the floor throughout this read. Who needs a man when you have fictional men written by a woman? I will reiterate, absolutely no notes. I 100% rode the high.
This series has been pure filth and I am LIVING for it. Paisley Hope take a bow my girl. Give me the next one immediately.

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC
Riding the High is a fantastic addition to the Silver Pines series, delivering a perfect blend of romance, emotion, and fun. Fans of the previous books will love this one, as it follows the engaging story of Ginger and Cole—two longtime friends who find themselves in an unexpected yet heartwarming fake marriage scenario. The chemistry between them is undeniable, and their journey from friendship to something deeper is filled with touching moments, laughter, and just the right amount of drama. While the story moves quickly in the first half, it does slow down later, but the well-developed characters and refreshing lack of a third-act breakup make for an enjoyable read.
This book has everything a great romance needs—compelling characters, emotional depth, and plenty of spice. The connection between Ginger and Cole is both sweet and passionate, making them a standout couple in the series. While some readers may not love every character (Brent, in particular, seems to be a weak point), the story as a whole is captivating and hard to put down. Whether you’re a longtime fan of the Silver Pines series or just looking for a fun and heartfelt cowboy romance, this book won’t disappoint!
