Riding the High is definitely my favourite book of this series. I absolutely loved the build up of tension and relationship between Cole and Ginger. This book packs in lots of tropes such as friends to lovers, accidental marriage and single Dad/nanny but it does them all so well. I found myself not able to put his book down. This book has such great characters and enough of a plot to keep the story interesting. Overall a really well done romance to finish off this series!

I got glimpses of Cole and Ginger throughout the whole series and the tension between them was delicious and enticing, their little cat & mouse game funny and entertaining so obviously I was over the moon to be able to read a copy of this book ahead of its launch on May 6th.

Tropes:
✨Friends to lovers
✨Nanny x Single dad
✨Forced proximity
✨Small town sheriff cowboy

To say I loved this book is an understatement. I thought it couldn’t get better from Training the Heart and my love for Wade Ashby, but Cole placed himself closely on second position. The way he yearns for Ginger, the little acts of service he does for her, the way he supports her in everything she does did me in. I loved the tension between them and how their hidden friendship bloomed into one of the most beautiful love stories I read this year.

In terms of spice, it’s not a secret Paisley Hope writes smut like it’s an Olympic sport she excels in. The scenes were incendiary, and dominated the second half of the book, but I never felt it was too much or that it distracted me from the story.

Ginger might be my favourite FMC of this series, she made me giggle throughout the whole book, she is sexy, wild and free and I aspire to become just like her 🫠

The Silver Pines Ranch universe is chaotic but fun, full of banter and love as well as a gracious family setting. Each character had the space to evolve in their own books and I loved the journey the author took me on.

If you're a fan of forbidden romance and secret relationships, this book will have you hooked. It blends emotional tension with the struggle of balancing personal dreams and unexpected love. Cole and Ginger's relationship is one to root for — built on years of history rather than the usual instalove. The depth of their connection makes their story feel authentic and truly heartwarming. And let's not forget Ginger’s bond with Cole’s daughter, Mable — their relationship adds such a sweet, meaningful layer to the plot.

Now, I’ll admit that friends-to-lovers isn’t usually my go-to trope, but this one totally won me over. The flashbacks to their younger years really help you understand the evolution of their relationship, and their playful baseball rivalry is just too cute. If you’re a fan of authors like Elsie Silver or Lucy Score, this one’s definitely worth picking up.

My favourite book in the series so far 😍

I loved the dynamic between Cole and Ginger from the very beginning, when I knew this book was theirs I couldn’t wait to get started. The chemistry between the two of them is undeniably. As the story unfolded I didn’t want it to end, I loved Ginger and Mabel’s bond forming, it was adorable. It felt like Cole and Ginger didn’t have to change their dynamic as their relationship developed they were still them just…. more. Such an enjoyable and easy read!

I have been foaming at the mouth for this book since reading snippets of Cole and Ginger in the first two books, and let me tell you- it did not disappoint 🤤!!

The tension and chemistry between Cole and Ginger has been building for 2 books, and in this book- it finally snaps 😍

I love their unique and dynamic relationship, the mischief from Ginger, the mouth on Cole 🫢, the secret pining between the pair and the unmatchable bonds between their families and friends is something I will always hold close to my heart.

This story is light but packed with plot twists, banter and a lot of laugh out loud moments 🥹 Ginger is sassy, feisty and has a heart the size of a house. Cole is strong, fierce and loves with every ounce of his being. And Mabel is just a little queen! 👑 Her relationship with her dad and Ginger is so heartwarming 😊

Plus, the Brooklyn 99 references ended me!!

My favourite quote;

“I know without a doubt that when my lungs pull in their last breath, my final thoughts will be of you.”

This story was everything I wanted it to be and more and I cannot thank @authorpaisleyhope & @netgalley for approving me for this ARC review.

This story was a work of art, a masterpiece and a book I will treasure for the rest of my days.

Wow i’m on a high 🤭 This book will certainly put me in a book hangover because Paisley DID IT AGAIN! Ahh seriously this woman can do it all and I couldn’t get enough.

I had missed all of these characters so so much. You don’t understand how much Silver Pines is on my mind and oh boy it was so good to be back. These two are level with Nash and CeCe so that goes to show that Cole and Gingers relationship is everything to me.

The chemistry between Cole and Ginger was off the charts. The tension at the start was SO GOOD. Like guys i’m actually so giddy for them it’s wild 😆 The spice was INCREDIBLE and special mention to that handcuff scene because that scene will be my roman empire. Dare I say it’s actually Paisleys best spice scene she’s written 🥵🥵🥵

I also loved the family dynamic Cole and Ginger and Mabel developed. Mabel was missing a full time mother figure and the fact that Ginger stepped up was so beautiful to see. Ginger fit right in and she truely was the piece missing to their puzzle.

I couldn’t fault a thing about this book. I was loving every second of it and was honestly so sad it was over. The epilogue wrapped it up so nicely and it makes me so excited to the next book! Bring on Cassie and Haden!

Thankyou so much to @netgalley and @penguinbooksaus, @centurybooksuk and @authorpaisleyhope for the ARC! 🥹

I've been SO excited to read Ginger and Cole's story since the first book! Paisley kept dropping hints, and I knew their story would be amazing - and it was!

Ginger and Cole have been best friends forever, secretly pining for each other for years. A drunken Vegas wedding and some forced proximity later, they finally get together, and it's emotional, hilarious, and super steamy. Cole's got a seriously dirty mouth, and I loved every second 🥵

I loved the bond that formed between Cole's daughter Mabel and Ginger. It was heartwarming and felt so natural. My heart dropped every time Mabel's birth mother let her down, but Ginger was always there for her ❤️

The only thing that has stopped me giving this a 5 star rating was Cole's history of being a manwhore and his trips out of town. It didn't quite match up with this walking green flag of a man!

If you haven't picked this series up yet, stop what you are doing and search for book one, Holding the Reins.

Riding the High is available to purchase on 24th April, or you can preorder it now.

Thanks to @netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review

Cole Ashby is no longer single. He's no longer his own man. Because I have claimed him as MINE and WILL NOT LET HIM GO. OMG Paisley. LAW DADDY is right!! I knew there was something special coming with Cole and Ginger's story. And you proved me right. I was obsessed with Nash and CeCe. Then Wade and Ivy. But Cole and Ginger take the top prize because I will never get over these two. Top book and couple of the series.

If you've been reading the series since Holding the Reins, you know that there was more to Cole and Ginger than they ever let on. Turns out, they've been secret friends FOR YEARS. Ginger has helped Cole deal with the breakup of his marriage and navigating single fatherhood. They love to binge Brooklyn Nine Nine together (like, SAMESIES, I LOVE B99). And then they go and get accidentally married in Vegas while there for Nash and CeCe's bacholor/bachelorette parties. Instead of getting divorced, they decide to stick it out for the summer to help Cole's image as newly elected sheriff and Ginger can help with his daughter Mabel during the summer. And oh yeah, they looooooove each other.

I was and still am obsessed with these two. They've come such a long way over the years. They are tried and true BEST FRIENDS (although secret best friends) and always have each other's backs. Their relationship flowed so beautifully and I was so anxiously awaiting when they would succumb to their insane chemistry together. And it was EVERYTHING. Law Daddy can GET.IT. This story was filled with chemistry, banter, laugh out loud moments and such passion. I loved every word I read.

Each book in this series just gets better and better. When I don't think she can top the previous book, she outdoes herself. I will be a Paisley Hope stan for life. I'd read that woman's grocery list. Keep these cowboys and their women coming Paisley. I am along for the ride with you.

Although I am a smutty cowboy connoisseur and a lover of a ranch based romance this series is new to me. After I was lucky enough to recieve this as an ARC I went into this as a Paisley Hope virgin with absolutely no expectations at all.

I have read most of the "classics" like the likes of elsie silver and, with the genre feeling a little overflowing at the moment, I didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did.

The bond that Ginger and Cole had was refreshing and felt so real. It was nice to read about a relationship built on years of history rather than the ever popular instalove that seems to be happening in every new romance that is released.

The spice was pretty tame imo and didn't overpower the storyline, it all felt very appropriate to the characters.

Overall I felt like it was a solid 3⭐️ book. And it's made me want to read the rest of the series!!

✨3.75 stars✨
Rounded up to four stars 🌟

This was an enjoyable read and I especially enjoyed the glimpses we go of the characters from the previous books!

My issues were that this book seemed to be more spice than plot and there were parts that had me rolling my eyes, e.g. when Cole claimed that it had always been Ginger that he loved yet that didn’t stop him from sleeping with many other women! I think the reformed f*ckboy trope just doesn’t really work for me when they have known each over for years and then it took something like a drunken marriage for you to realise your feeling for Ginger?!🙄

Anyway if you enjoy spice, and have enjoyed Paisley Hope’s other books then I would recommend this!

I received an ARC from the publishers in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!

I'm so invested in Silver Pines and let me tell you I squealed when I got the chance to read this!

I love Paisley Hope's writing. I love the setting, I love the stories, I love the spice, I love the dual POV.

Admittedly Cole and Ginger are not my favourite (Cece & Nash 4ever) but Mabel and the relationship she develops with Ginger is the CUTEST thing ever. What I felt was missing from this book was interaction with the rest of the Silver Pines family. I get it's a secret marriage and you don't want to raise suspicion but I would have liked to have seen more family dinners and get togethers and MORE SANGRIA NIGHTS please and thank you.

All that said, Paisley Hope can do no wrong and Cole is a number 1 law daddy.

Thank you Penguin Random House 🫡

Firstly, thank you so much for letting me read Riding the High.
It was so lovely going back to silver pines. This time with Ginger and cole.
Friends to lovers, single dad, close proximity, secret wedding. All the fantastic things we love to read.
I couldn't get enough, I didn't want the story to end. Fingers crossed there will be another book to follow one day.

Well, Paisley has done it again!! Every book she writes, she smashes it out of the park!

I'm obsessed with Ginger and Cole. These two burn 🔥 🥵 the tension between them, and the chemistry they have are both off the charts!
If people ask about my standards, I will point them towards men like Cole Weston Ashby because this man was delicious!!
Ginger is fantastic, I would like to be friends with her for sure! I loved her relationship with Mabel, which was adorable!
I honestly couldn't put this book down! I need more Paisley!!

A huge thanks to Penguin Random House UK for sending me this eARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest opinion.

I can't tell you how excited I was for this book and it didn't disappoint!
Continuing this series felt like coming home. Even though the books can be read as standalones, I'd highly recommend reading them all because you'll feel much more connected to the characters.
I loved the friendship Ginger and Cole had and continued to have. The way they supported and were there for each other was incredible. I enjoyed the relationship between Ginger and Mabel. The way they saw themselves as a team was very sweet and heartwarming. The communication between Cole and Ginger was very well-written. I always enjoy when characters can say what they mean without unnecessary drama or miscommunication.
And then there was the spice🥵🥵🥵I had no idea this series could even get any spicier after Training the Heart, but I was proven wrong because that was HOT and I mean the DO NOT EVER READ THIS IN PUBLIC kind of hot😂

Overall, this was exactly what I've been waiting for 😍 That being said, I need Liv and Asher to get a book because you can't tell me that there isn't something going on between the two 😉

The scream I scrumpt when I got my ARC email notification!

Paisley my girl, you have done it again!

What an absolute banger of a read! Literally loved every moment of it. It wasn’t too long ago that I was in the Silver Pines world but this book brought me back those original HTR vibes that I loved so so much.

The secret pining, the banter, the forbidden attraction, the tension, it all made me so damn giddy.

Y’all ain’t ready for Mr. Cole Ashby, the man had me flustered. And Ginger, you gotta love a sassy FMC! The sweet family moments with Mabel made my heart so warm as well 🥹

This was my favourite in the series by far.
Cole & Ginger had my whole heart. They’re both fiery, sarcastic, passionate and together? They are a POWER COUPLE.
The way Cole is with Mabes had my heart melting! The single dad trope will do it for me every time. And then add Ginger into the equation and you get the most perfect family.
The spicy scenes in this book were phenomenal, I was HOT!!
Paisley Hope is an auto buy author for me, she is incredible.

they are everything!!!!! Ahhhhh!!
Firstly, thank you so so much for approving my request for this arc, you can’t believe how happy and grateful I am for it.

I binged this, possibly digested it too fast but my lord I couldn’t put this down. I do not regret anything - I will be rereading this just for the sake of how good it was. they are definitely my fave couple in the series as of right now…but let’s me honest I’ve said this after every couple of each book😂😭

the tension??? The build up?? Oh my lord. If I had a 1000 fans next to me it wouldn’t be able to cool me down with how HOT this was. I loved the banter, the marriage (new fave trope btw) and everything about this was 5 stars. I WANT TO READ IT AGAIN FOR THE FIRST TIME.

I want to thank NetGalley for approving me for an ARC of this book. I've been a fan of the Silver Pines series from the start and was excited to read Cole and Gingers story.

Well I think Cole might be my favourite man of the series. To steal a line from my friend @bex_boys_and_books, it was all his Coleness that made me melt 🤭.

Ginger was her usual fiery self but her relationship with Mabel was the icing on the cake. Seeing the two grow closer was heartwarming.

As usual we got to catch up with the rest of the family and they delivered on the cracking one liners, hilarious group chats and sound advice.

Riding the High takes you back to Laurel Creek, this time to explore the story of Cole Ashby. If you've read the previous books in this Silver Pines series you'll already know the close friendship between Cole and his little sister's best friend Ginger Danforth. But their constant to and fro teasing and banter is a cover for their feelings for one another, which comes to a head during a weekend in Vegas when the pair become married after a wild night that culminates in a round of truth or dare.

Cole has been working steadily towards his goal of being Sheriff and Ginger's congressman father is close to re-election, so the two newlyweds decide to keep their marriage a secret until things have settled down and then seek an annulment. But with close proximity the sparks begin to fly and both are left wondering if the marriage is what they really want after all. Once again the friendships and close family ties are a highlight of the book for me, but you can also expect a ton of spice so be forewarned. He may not be a cowboy, but he's a sheriff and he has the cuffs to prove it!
