Riding the High is the third book in the Silver Pine series.
Cole is appointed sheriff of Laurel Creek, now as a single parent to 8 year old Mable he is determined to do the best he can in both these aspects of his life. Ginger is best friends with the sister of his best friend so has been in his life for a long time, both attracted to each other but not acting on the attraction both worried it will harm their relationship with their friends.
A weekend in Vegas with friends leads to them getting married whilst under the influence of a lot of alcohol.
Deciding to stay together for 90 days after which they can obtain a divorce Ginger becomes Mable’s nanny, but living together they develop a real closeness which leads to them sleeping together with lots of passion with very steamy descriptive scenes.
This is a fun lighthearted story, great characters and dialogue that is emotional and deep and with some scenes that have bad characters getting their comeuppance which is very satisfying.

If you like smutty small town romances with interconnected characters then Paisley’s books are right up your street! Definitely can compare her to Elsie silver if you like her books. I actually really enjoyed the concept of a what happens in Vegas doesn’t stay in vegas romance, with accidental marriage! I loved Ginger in the first 2 books, and to see her find happiness with Cole and Mabel was lovely. Single dad Cole was a doting father (and husband) and the vibes are good all round. I’m glad we didn’t have a tab otherwise that would’ve annoyed me!

I was super excited for this one after getting glimpses of Cole & Ginger in previous books - and it did not disappoint! Their banter, flirting, and fleeting gazes grew into a perfect arrangement and perfect chemistry that left me yearning for more each time. I absolutely adore the continued feeling of 'found family' throughout the book and series,
Paisley's writing is fun, modern and easy to read - I really enjoy seeing glimpses of text conversations between the characters and references to modern music/events. Cannot wait to continue the Silver Pines series!

I’ve been waiting for this book since the first one 🤭 and I think the build up made it even better. Cole Weston will have my heart forever. Amazing series and an amazing book

“It’s always been you, Ginger. And I have no clue what to do about that. Besides maybe keep you.”

‘Her heart is wild. Only he can capture it.’

Paisley ma’am I continue to salute 🫡🫡 your sparkly, spicy and swoon worthy storytelling!

Riding the High is effervescent and authentic, cheeky and sincere with such a big heart and IM HERE FOR IT

TYSM to Paisley, Random House UK and NetGalley for e-ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I ADORED THIS BOOK WITH MY WHOLE CHEST.

The secret pining, the fresh banter, the heartwarming friendship, forced proximity and the SPICY 🌶️ were an electric mix that gave all the best friends to lovers energy that I didn’t know I needed.

Cole and Ginger are lightning ⚡️ in a bottle.

They are sincere and wild, she is the impulsive to his orderly and I loved every moment of them unravelling each other as forever best friends.

Honourable mentions are:

🎲 Law Daddy x Vixen
🎲 Truth or Dare
🎲 “Our team. Me, you and Ginger.”
🎲 Mama Jo remains an Icon: ‘Break hearts, not the law.’
🎲 “Favour?”
🎲 The Mouth on this Man: Yes Sir 🫡

Spicy mentions 🌶️🌶️🌶️ are:

⛓️‍💥”Now, I want to taste my wife.”
⛓️‍💥 “My dirty husband likes to be fucked and toyed with?”
⛓️‍💥 “Good wives swallow every last drop. Understand?”

Riding the High is wild and true, sweet and sincere with a beautiful friendship that grows into a soul love. I adored the blossoming friendship and love between Ginger and sweet Mabel!

Side note: Imma campaign for a Papa Dean origin story. That man has LIVED (and would have the stories to prove it 😏😂)

Favourite lines are:

“You-and-me close, Vixen, you-and-me close.”

“You can come when you admit it, baby. Admit we’re not just friends, admit this is something more. I dare you.”

‘Because, right now, I’m just riding this high. And fuck, maybe getting her to fall for me is exactly what I’m trying to do.’

Sweet, sassy and swoony - easy 5 stars 🌟

Thank you to NetGalley, Random House UK and author Paisley Hope for the ARC of Riding the High, the third book in the Silver Pines series.

This has absolutely been my favourite book in this series so far. Ginger and Cole’s romance from childhood friends to lovers had my heart singing the whole time. I enjoyed that this book saw us leave Silver Pines for a bit for Cece and Nash’s bachelor/bachelorette party’s. Even though these books are definitely on the more spicy side the family aspect that these books portray offer a nice contrast to that fact. I enjoyed getting to know Cole’s daughter Mabel a little more too.

The spice did not disappoint as with all of Paisley Hope’s books. If you love a spicy cowboy romance and want to cosy up with a book you will definitely fall in love with these characters. Paisley Hope is a new autobuy/read author for me and I can’t wait to read more.

I waited eagerly for this and I loved it so much. A single dad and county sheriff who is both sweet and spicy? What more could you ask for? Cole and Ginger’s relationship was explored perfectly and I would definitely recommend picking this up!

4.75⭐️ Thank you Netgalley and Hope for this arc in exchange for an honest review!
Each book in the Silver Pines Ranch book keeps getting better and better!

I had been waiting what seems an age for Cole x Ginger's story. I ate it up and I was constantly holding in my giddiness throughout the story!
Their dynamic is so good, two people who will poke fun at each other 24/7, but when needed are always there for one another. I loved getting to see these two explore the tension & chemistry that has been building between them for YEARS. There is so much passion, desire, love, and trust in their relationship, its so so good. The smut in this is so well-done too and matches these characters so well!!
I love Cole Ashby but the main star of this book is Ginger. She is so fiery and has the best personality.

Loved the B99 references! Now I need to rewatch the show😉

💜single dad
💜Sheriff x Teacher (aka temporary nanny)
💜small town
💜“My wife”
💜accidental wedding in vegas
💜close proximity

Paisley’s writing style makes it easy to get in to her work, and this one was no exception. I felt like I was right there in Kentucky enjoying the warm summer sunshine, despite living in the miserable and grey UK.

I have no clue who to expect next!

Thank you to the publishers and Netgalley for approving me to read this, I’ve been so blessed to read all 3 books before the release date. I’m rating this 4.5 stars, it was perfection.

This may be my favourite one, I’ve been waiting on Cole’s story eagerly. Ginger and Cole are a friends to lovers vibe with an unexpected wedding throwing them straight into an intense situation. This story oozes chemistry and the spice was too good. Mabel, Cole’s young daughter adds such a cute and wholesome aspect to the story.

There’s some major bumps in the road for the pair and how they will navigate remaining friends while trying to deny their connection. Also, that epilogue was everything!

Highly recommend every book in this series, but I’m thinking for sure this may be my favourite. Paisley Hope will definitely always be an auto-read author.

This has to be my favourite so far from the Silver Pine Ranch series. I've always been intrigued about the friendship between Cole and Ginger from the glimpses we got in Holding the Reins the first book of this interconnected series and their story didn't disappoint, from the very first page I was instantly pulled in and ended reading most of this book in one day.

Friends to Lovers isn't a favourite trope of mine to read usually unless they are done right and I can honestly say that in this book it really was, the romance worked between Ginger and Cole because they had such a good foundation as friends and even when they find themselves married after a drunken night on a Vegas trip they make the relationship work because of the trust and reliability they have as friends first before they became lovers and I really loved seeing it slowly develop into more over the course of the book and it made it even more realistic seeing the flashbacks of their past together.

This was such a fast read and I enjoyed it so much, highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a single dad, friends to lover romance!

Thank you so much to NetGalley and the publisher for the chance to read and review this before publication, these are my honest thoughts and opinions.

I was so excited for Cole and Ginger’s story and it did not disappoint. I adore them! I am a sucker for an accidental wedding and this one was perfect.

Cole is protective, sweet and the best dad to his 8 year old daughter, Mabel. I loved their relationship so much. Add in the fact that he’s the county Sheriff and you can’t get much better 😍🫠

I love Ginger so much. She’s sassy, funny and so caring. Seeing her bond with Mabel melted my heart. They are the best of friends 😭

This was a steamy, heart warming read and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

This is my favourite in the series so far. Ginger's sass & Cole's, well, Coleness (I know, not a word, but read it & you'll get it). The chemistry between these two is perfect. I'm not normally a huge fan of friends to lovers, but maybe it's the secrecy in this one that makes it work.

As always I loved the fact we were checking in with characters we already knew & there were hints about what was to come.

The perfect blend of spice, humour & plot.

Cole and ginger are everything. This book was the one I was more anticipated for and god I love it . Theres something about these 2 pretending to not get on in public yet behind closed doors being friends and spending time together watching BROOKLYN 99. Now im a big Brooklyn 99 fan .

I do wish Cole wasn’t a cop cus cop romances aren’t exactly my cup of tea but I can forgive him because hes literally amazing . For me i already knew that Cole was a sheriff cus again I read the past 2 books last year . This did not feel like a cop romance though thank god . It didn’t really focus on the fact he was a cop often thank god ( also he’s the town sheriff).

For those wondering ( like myself ) THERE IS NO 3rd act breakup so rest assured . They don’t break up !!

I also love ginger and Mabel ( Cole’s daughter’s) relationship . It’s so sweet and adorable and I love it. Seeing them bond without the whole “nanny aspect “ ginger is basically Mable’s nanny but it never feels that way because of how well the two get on how well GINGER IS WITH HER . It could be because ginger is actually an elementary school teacher . The way ginger treated Mabel like she was her own daughter ( caring in the way a mother would )

Cole had me swooning so hard - the way he aaah . This man is out here doing everything he can for ginger .

The fact that the past 2 books hint at Cole and ginger really hyped me up for their book . THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT. This book was definitely worth waiting for like it was everything I wanted it to be and more .

The spice had me swooning ( which is perfect for me especially since recently spice has kinda bored me. I love the chemistry between cole and ginger + the emotions between them. The spice was hot and wasn’t overwhelming and actually added to the plot . It was emotional in fact . I absolutely ate the spice up .

This book might be my fave book in the series. ( because of everything it had me swooning so hard )

The fact Mable and ginger call themselves daddy’s girls. ( as in COLES GIRLs) had me aaah.

I am Excited for the next book fr . This is a series that rivals the chestnut spring series for me . Like it truly rivals it and I absolutely love it .

The found family in this series .
The whole fmcs being friends
The fact this is a small town romance series
The fact the first 3 books has had one of the love interests be one of the Ashby siblings . First book cece
Second book : Wade - 3rd book : Cole .

Riding the High follows Ginger and Cole, who during a drunken night in Vegas, impulsively get married. To protect their futures, they decide to keep up the act until the time is right. But as the pair are forced to spend an increasing amount of time in each other’s company, sparks fly and their accidental marriage starts to feel dangerously real.

The author did a great job of developing the backstory between Ginger and Cole. I enjoyed the banter and the back and forth dynamic between them, but I wish their romance had been more of a slow burn. I feel like everything happened too quickly, which made the middle portion of the book feel very drawn out.

The spice scenes were okay, but I am personally not a fan of dirty talk, which this book had a lot of - some of it made me really cringe. Personally, I prefer one or two steamy scenes, but this had LOTS of steam! For me, the ratio of plot to steam was unbalanced. However, this is personal preference, so if you do like a lot of spicy scenes, you may really love this book.

As well as enjoying Cole and Ginger’s dynamic, I also really enjoyed Ginger’s relationship with Cole’s daughter, Mabel. It was very sweet!

I appreciated the lack of a third-act breakup, and the epilogue was sweet. However, the ending of the epilogue seemed like a little overkill.

Overall, this book was a quick, lighthearted read. I think if you enjoy spice, you could like this one, but I found it a little too spice heavy and lacking plot for me to rate it any higher. Thank you to Random House UK/Penguin and NetGalley for providing me with an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

The first 30% of “Riding the High” were really nice! Very pleasant to read, good characters, great banter.
I don’t know what happened after that, but it somehow fell a bit flat for me and, at times, almost dragged a bit too much.

There was a constant back and forth between Cole & Ginger about wanting each other, but somehow hesitating because of the circumstances, but then also incapable of not being around each other and obviously monologues about how hot the other person is.
The dirty talk was..fine in some moments and just too much in others. Wasn’t feeling it really.

There wasn’t necessarily a third act breakup but addressing the elephant in the room with “this..*us* was a mistake.” is also not *it*. I expect more from a 30 year old man.

I was also disappointed that we didn’t get to read the conversation between Ginger and her dad, because that seemed rather important for Ginger’s character and that relationship (very clearly) needed some work. Same goes for the 180 degree turn around of her father through the text he sent her. Like? That is most definitely not the same character that appeared thus far throughout the book.

Secret star of the book was Mable, Cole’s daughter. No questions asked.
The epilogue was cute, while also being too much towards the end.

There were a decent amount of scenes from the characters of the previous books, which was nice.
I’m not sure yet if I will read the other books in the series (probably will though), but I will keep an eye out on other books by the author.

I thoroughly enjoyed this spicy cowboy romance. It's a bit of fun but the characters are well rounded and believable. You know where the story is going to end up but it's a fun journey to get there with some hot and spicy moments on the way.

I have been so excited to read Ginger's story and as expected 'Riding the High' did not disappoint!

Ginger and Cole have kept their friendship hidden from their friends and family but a drunken and impulsive night in Vegas soon changes that. The pair find themselves hitched which causes problems for them both. Cole is trying to secure his permanent role as the sheriff and Ginger is the daughter of a congressman. As the pair spend more and more time together, their love for each other begins to grow.

This book has all the tropes we know and love: friends to lovers, single dad, best-friends brother, force proximity.

This girl loves a small/town cowboy romance and this is my favourite cowboy romance series so far!

Thank you Netgalley for this ARC.

This series just keeps getting better!

I knew i was going to love this book just because Ginger has been a favourite throughout the series but after reading this I somehow love her more!!

I love how we were given a bit more back story to Ginger and Cole’s relationship and see how much history they actually have together! I’m also a complete sucker for an accidental Vegas wedding!

The chemistry between them was on point! Surprisingly i really enjoyed reading about Ginger and Mabel and seeing their relationship blossom, it was heartwarming and really well written!

My fave book in this series so far ❤️‍🔥

I’ve been waiting for this book since I read the first book in the series and it did not disappoint, I couldn’t put it down.

I loved Cole and Ginger, their chemistry, friendship, bond and connection was everything I wanted from their story. It was full of gorgeous moments, lots of laughter and of course we had the spice.

What I love about Paisley’s writing is the support characters, she adds as much depth to them and you really get to know everyone along the way. I adored the bond between Cole and his daughter Mabel, it was so special.

Overall this was such a fab, spicy, gorgeously romantic read.

✦ small town romance
✦ friends x lovers

✦ accidental marriage

Ugh, I absolutely adored this book! I knew that I loved this series, but this book totally confirmed this again. - 5 STARS!
I knew I had to read about Cole and Ginger, because you could feel the chemistry between them already, and I was not disappointed - the chemistry was definitely there!!! 🔥I was giggling and kicking my feet when Cole called her "Mrs. Ashby" after a drunken night out, when they got married!!
Mabel was the cutest little girl and the relationship she formed with Ginger was just heartwarming. Cole being the town sheriff was quite hot, and Ginger? I want to be her ;)
The scene at Nash and Ceces charity hockey game in the end? Made me cry a little, that was so romantic. <3
Can't wait for the next book(s) in the series!

I'd definitely recommend this book to anyone, especially those you loved Heartless by Elsie Silver as it was giving me some of the same vibes!
