With just six weeks left in LA, Lincoln is soaking up the surf, the sun—and unexpectedly, Violet West. She’s bold, beautiful, and dangerously irresistible. What was meant to be temporary quickly unravels into something deeper, as Violet challenges every wall Lincoln’s built around his heart. But with a deadline looming, will their whirlwind connection survive the goodbye neither of them want to say? This one's for anyone who believes love can sneak in when you're least expecting it.

Thank you Netgalley for the free arc in exchange for an honest review. This book gripped me at the first 10% and then it got really cringe in my eyes. I think it was the nicknames constantly changing. This had the insta love trope which i did not like.
Was a vibe tho in some areas of the book

VH Nicolson knocks it out of the park with Lincoln.
The chemistry between him and Violet is just perfection.
It's the perfect combination of heat, spice, sweetness, with humour thrown in.
VH Nicolson quickly became my favourite author with Hunting Eden and her writing continues to improve with each book. I love that her heroines are strong and sassy, and they're an equal partner in the relationship. I also love how smitten the MMC are in her books and Lincoln is no different over the wonderful Violet. This is a 5-star will re-read again and again. For those new to VH Nicolson this is a re-release & edit of Lincoln and it's as perfect as it was the first time around. I'm so looking forward to the Boldwood editions of Jacob and Owen's books. Brilliant writing from a brilliant author

What can I say about Lincoln? I am a sucker for strangers to lovers trope and a billonaire trope. I need a book with intense chemistry between the main characters, and this book had it and more. VH Nicolson knows how to write characters that feel real, raw, and full of heat. Check this out if you need spice in your life!

3 stars – Solid, but not magnetic
Lincoln was… fine. The writing’s clean, the emotional beats are thoughtful, and the characters are believable—but I found myself putting it down far too easily. It just didn’t hold me. but I kept finding myself distracted, with no real urgency to return.
There’s a quiet quality to the story but for me, it felt a little too predictable. I kept waiting for something to surprise me or pull me in deeper—and it just never quite got there and the emotional payoff never quite hit the depth I wanted. It’s the kind of book I wanted to love… but instead, decided to dip at about 50%.
Still, it’s not a bad book. It’s well-crafted. It just lacked the kind of tension or emotional gravity that kept me turning the pages.
Net Galley ARC

"Lincoln" by VH Nicolson is a fun and enjoyable modern romance novel. This book delivers on the main points that romance fans usually look for: hot chemistry, humorous dialogue, and a sentimental ride to love.
The story is about Lincoln, a suave and commitment-phobic Scotsman on a short break in Los Angeles. He gets a job at a gym where he encounters Violet West, a feisty and independent woman who soon catches his eye. What starts as a casual affair soon develops into a passionate relationship that challenges Lincoln's entrenched views on relationships.
One of the strengths of the book is the chemistry between the two leading characters. Lincoln is handsome and initially a bit cynical, but Violet's vivacity and down-to-earth nature start to break down his guard. Violet is a delightful character in her own right – self-sufficient, sharp-tongued, and not afraid to stand up for herself. They have a constant stream of clever repartee and undeniable sexual tension between them, so it feels both sexy and plausible that they fall in love.
Nicolson is very good at writing sexy and interesting love scenes, and the chemistry between Lincoln and Violet is clear. But the book also goes on to explore some deeper emotional levels as both characters deal with their vulnerabilities and history. This brings an emotional level to the novel that keeps the story from being just about the physicality of their relationship.
The story flows well, making the reader become engrossed in Lincoln and Violet's developing emotions. Though the "temporary romance" cliche is common, Nicolson adds sufficient new elements and interesting character development to render it original and thrilling. The writer also incorporates places of humor, which serve to lighten the mood and make characters more endearing.
For fans of billionaire romances with a dash of humor and true emotional connection, "Lincoln" will probably be a bestseller. It does an excellent job of establishing the groundwork for the rest of the series, with the reader being left wanting to know what kind of romantic escapades are in store for Lincoln's friends.
In summary, VH Nicolson's "Lincoln" is an engaging, fun, and good romance book. It delivers an excellent mixture of heat, laughter, and soul, a worthy read to people who appreciate present-day romances and book enthusiasts searching for an entertaining yet loving story.

Hot? Yes. Believable? Not so much.
“Lincoln” by V.H. Nicolson brings the steam in a major way — if you’re here for spice, buckle up. This book is hot from page one, and the tension between the characters does not let up. That said, while the physical chemistry was fire, the dialogue pulled me out of the story more times than I could count.
The conversations often felt forced or overly scripted — like the characters were trying to deliver dramatic monologues in a soap opera instead of actually talking like real people. It made it hard to connect with them emotionally, which is a shame, because there was definite potential for depth.
This would be a fun, fast read for someone just looking for a spicy escape and doesn’t mind a bit (okay, a lot) of cheese in their romance. But if you’re craving authentic character development and realistic dialogue, this one might leave you side-eyeing your Kindle.

Having mistakenly read Jacob’s book first.. I have to say this book wasn’t as good as the second 🫣
I did enjoy this book but just felt I could have put it down at any point and give up compared to the second!
Lincoln and Voilets relationship was fun and had me laughing at what they got up too.. But definitely the chemistry was there from the get go between them both!
I feel as though the ending could have been more that it just seemed to be an itch to a scratch! ! But it was an easy read so 3 stars from!

4.25⭐
Lincoln is my first introduction to author VH Nicolson, but it certainly won't be my last as this romance blends fun, steam, and heartfelt emotions in the most delightful way.
When the charming, dirty-talking Scottish billionaire hotelier Lincoln embarks on a six-week sabbatical in Los Angeles, he unexpectedly crosses paths with the vibrant Violet, and their connection is nothing short of electric! The instant chemistry they share is simply magical, though they both grapple with the impending expiration date of their time together.
Yet, as feelings deepen, the more enjoyable the story becomes.
With richly explored backstories, we get to see the layers of these characters unfold.
And let's talk about the fantastic duo: a vulnerable cinnamon roll hero and a strong independent heroine! Who both supported and challenged each other and delivered sizzling chemistry, too!
And with great family dynamics, heartfelt moments and almost perfect pacing. This was a really enjoyable spicy read. That I would happily recommend to others.

So I just finished 'Lincoln' by VH Nicolson, a workplace romance, and it was a pretty fun read! It follows Lincoln, this super successful businessman who's basically working himself to death at his family company. The guy finally hits his breaking point and takes a sabbatical, which honestly does wonders for him.
Then there's Violet, who's taking over her family business while everyone's like "Can a woman really handle this?" (eye roll). But she's totally badass and doesn't take crap from anyone, which I loved about her.
These two meet through work and boom - instant chemistry! Their first meeting is super cute, and you can tell Lincoln is immediately into her. The attraction between them is HOT from the get-go, though for a long time, it felt mostly physical.
My main complaint? The emotional stuff only kicks in toward the end when they finally realize they're in love. I wanted more of those sweet moments mixed in with all the steamy scenes (and trust me, there are plenty of those!).
Also, there's this whole thing where Lincoln is keeping secrets, which creates drama that feels kind of unnecessary to me.
Bottom line: quick, fun, spicy workplace romance that's worth picking up if that's your jam! A 3 out of 5 for sure.

Thank you NetGalley for the AMC!

This is Book 1 of The Billionaire Boys series.
The story follows Lincoln and Violet, who meet weeks before Lincoln is due to go home, and naturally, romance blossoms.
Violet is a great character and a girl after my own heart! A stationery queen, with unicorn planners and a fierce sense of loyalty, she is someone you'd love as a friend.
Lincoln was a great character, too, and I enjoyed meeting him in an almost 'normal' job setting before we see him in Scotland. He is also a really nice guy!
The story itself is a great pace, and we see both characters to develop along with their relationship, which is full of twists and turns, plus I loved the sprinkle of humour throughout!
With a side of spice 🌶, this story is perfect for romance lovers and people who fancy trying billionaire romance!

I really enjoyed this book! I like how this is fully focused on the building relationship between Lincoln and Violet and there’s no drama or anything.
I love Lincoln! He’s the perfect book boyfriend, considered, kind and caring. He’s also a very complex character with the issue of his mother and everything that’s done to him.
I also like Violet and her strong character. The supporting characters are also perfect for the story and I especially like Lincoln’s dad. He’s amazing.
All in all this is a brilliant romance story and I cannot wait to read more book from this author.

LINCOLN By V.H. Nicolson
Love is for suckers.
It’s one of the reasons I’m here in L.A. on the other side of the world from my home in Scotland and the five-star hotel I run with my dad.
I’m sick of watching everyone else’s happy ever afters from the sidelines. I mean, if my own mother left me as a baby, what hope do I have of finding a woman who wants to stick around?
I’ve spent months traveling, surfing and working on my tan, but my need to work led me to take a temporary job in a gym for six weeks before I fly home.
What could possibly change in six weeks?
Apparently quite a lot.
I could meet someone who rocks my world with her killer curves, hypnotic hips and her purple dresses that leave little to the imagination.
She could ask me to take a leap of faith with her I can’t resist taking.
She could get me so hot and bothered I end up in the emergency room.
She could invite me into her home, introduce me to her dog that looks like a walking cloud, and break me out of my self-inflicted sex sabbatical.
She could show me what it feels like to be loved, so I never want to leave.
Violet West walked into my life and changed things forever. It’s just a shame that good things never last.

Thank you, V.H. Nicolson and Boldwood Books, for a copy.

My first VH Nicholson novel started slow, but ended on a high note. I don’t normally like instalove stories with the dreaded third act break ups, but this one worked for me by exploring the depth of the characters.
Lincoln is a big sexy Scot and notorious playboy who decides to take a break from his usual one-night stands and his family’s hotel business. What starts as a carefree adventure turns into a whirlwind of feelings when Lincoln meets the incredible Violet West who is a savvy businesswoman and the ultimate ball-breaker. She works wonders on Lincoln, shaping him into a more grounded individual.
From the moment Lincoln and Violet met, it was clear that their chemistry was off the charts. These two certainly know how to bring the sexy fun and playful banter.
One of the standout elements in this story is the profound impact of family, particularly the relationship Lincoln shares with his dad. Major applause to this guy! He raised Lincoln single-handedly after his mother left, and you can truly feel that bond. With Lincoln’s past of abandonment looming over him, there is an unexpected twist that is heartbreaking. It’s dad to the rescue when he encourages Violet to fight for what she wants ending in a happily ever after.
While the book had a bit of a slow spot in the middle, don’t give up on it! The pace picks up again, and trust me, the ride gets super rewarding as you reach the end. It’s all about the journey, after all.
So if you’re looking for a light but meaningful read that tugs at your heartstrings and tickles your funny bone, definitely give this one a shot. It’s a wonderful start to what promises to be an engaging series.
Thank you to Ms. Nicolson for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.

Lincoln has six weeks left of his American vacation and chooses to spend it working. His initial meeting with Violet is full of misunderstanding and unexpected attraction, which explodes between them when they meet again. It's a spicy romance with an emotional kick. Lincoln and Violet both had events in their upbringing that left them with commitment and trust issues. They are good for each other, and eventually, they realise this, but there is angst and heartbreak before they secure what they both need. I like both protagonists and the emotional connection that develops between them. I like the family dynamic, which defines them, and the humour, which balances their relationship's spicy heat. It's an engaging, romantic read.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher.

Lincoln
by VH Nicolson
Lincoln was a captivating read.
An immensely entertaining little morse inspired my love for Author VH Nicolsons' writing ability. That brings characters to a whole other level.

Lincoln is on a journey of self-discovery, nudged by his father to leave everything familiar behind and spend time in America. During his final six weeks in Santa Monica, he crosses paths with Violet—an encounter that quickly begins to shift the course of his life in ways he never expected.
Violet is strong, independent, and completely dedicated to her work. She’s not looking for a whirlwind romance, especially with an expiration date looming. But when sparks fly between her and Lincoln, keeping her heart guarded proves harder than she imagined.
With insecurities and personal walls between them, the question becomes—can their undeniable connection withstand the ticking clock, or are they destined to become just a fleeting memory?
I absolutely loved how perfectly Lincoln and Violet balanced each other. Their chemistry was sizzling, the banter was sharp and addictive, and Lincoln? Total swoon-fest. The entire cast of characters added warmth and charm to a heartfelt story I didn’t want to end.

If you’re a fan of Insta-love, super heavy on the steam, no major drama, a third act break up leading to a HEA, you’re going to love this because it has this and more. My main issue with it was that the FMCA, Violet, was so insecure, she needed constant reassurance from the MMC, Lincoln, that she was pretty and that he found her attractive. That was clearly unnecessary as they were going at each other every chance they got. And the MMC kept calling her “Petal” which was kinda cringe but there were several family moments that balanced out the other issues. I liked getting to know Linc’s family, and his background showed his weaknesses and I also loved his little nephews-they were adorable!
My favorite part was probably picturing big hunky Lincoln walking tiny little PomPom the dog! This is the first book I’m this series and up next is a story focused on Lincoln’s best friend Jacob and his girlfriend Skye.
Thanks to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for this eArc in exchange for my review.

I really enjoyed how quick paced the book was. It immediately jumped into all the fun stuff. I will say, I wish I could run into a Scottish man like Lincoln! He sounds soo dreamy! That said, this man has some deep issues! Understanding of his childhood trauma, but there were moments in the book in which I was just like "Again?! really?! can we just move on already?!"I think a little less of that would have increased my rating of the book.
Overall, I did also like Violet's character! She was very strong and ambitious, and she knew exactly what she wanted! I appreciated that the author showed Violet's insecurities as well as strong independent woman can also have their own internal struggles but still prevail in life.
I was very happy with how the book ended. Oh and I totally wish I could go visit the restaurant suspended over the cliffs!

This is the first book in a series of three. Lincoln Black is in America for a few months before heading back home to Scotland to carry on working within the family business.
He finds himself working in a gym as he is bored not working. There he meets Violet, who is such a feisty character. I loved these two together. The chemistry between them was so good.
There was some moments that really had me laughing, one involving chilli. I won’t say anymore. 😂
I really enjoyed this one and we got to briefly meet Lincoln’s friends too, I’m looking forward to reading the second book in the series.
Thank you to Rachel’s Random Resources for having me on the tour and to the publisher for my gifted ebook.
