Chokepoints was a very informative book on the use of economic sanctions and economic warfare to further imperialist aims in the 21st-century. The author is very knowledgeable on the subject and having a new edition of the book was definitely necessary for this current age of capitalist disorder.

Chokepoints is a gripping and topical examination of how geopolitical power has turned the world economy into a conflict. Drawing from his in-depth research and insider knowledge, Edward Fishman provides an engrossing look at the emergence of economic warfare in the twenty-first century. He reveals how countries are using energy resources, tech supply chains, and financial institutions as contemporary weapons with incisive insight and compelling narrative. Anyone who wants to comprehend the changing balance of power in the world and how the conflicts of the future are currently being fought in boardrooms and banks should read this book. A compelling and significant book.
