Thank you so much for the invite to read this new novel by Phillipa Ashley, it was delightful as always. Set in beautiful Cornwall, so descriptively written , and with the usual array of lovely quirky characters it was a joy! I loved it. Highly recommended.

Tammy has known a lot of loss in life and is reluctant to let anyone else in her life to leave, while Ruan is struggling to come to terms with an unexpected inheritance. story unfolds pleasurably over the course of a delightful Cornish summer.
This has everything you might want in a light hearted summer read; romance, intrigue, sea, sun and sand. The characters are believable and likeable, I enjoyed learning about their shared family history and the backdrop of sand art was a nice twist. I enjoyed the novel and thoroughly recommend it.

I’ve loved all of Phillipa Ashley’s books that I’ve read, especially the ones set in Cornwall, and this is another cracker. I read it in one sitting on a dreary wet evening, where you just want a good comfort read. I loved the main characters and the fact that theirs weren’t the only stories being told. Although you know it’s going to have a happy ending - no spoilers- there was a really interesting back story and featuring a sand sculptor making for a slightly unusual character but a fascinating subject. Highly recommended.
Thanks to NetGalley, the author and the publishers for the opportunity to read and review this book.

An enjoyable that is full of romance. The author creates such believable characters that you are drawn into their stories and want to find out what happens to them. The vivid descriptions of glorious Cornish beaches frequented by the main character sand artist provide a beautiful backdrop to the story.

This was an ideal read for transporting me to Cornwall’s sunny beaches on a dull Winter’s day! A love story with a twist involving an old house I enjoyed reading about the two main characters ,Tammy and Ruan , but also the others too. Having visited some of the places in the story I could imagine the beaches as I read. A gentle read very well written again by Philippa. Thank you for the chance to review. I look forward to the next one.
