So wildly obsessed with this world characters Smith has put together and has continued with in book two of the series.
The banter, the tension, the MARRIAGE OF CONVENIENCE. You got me. It had all the best things.

I absolutely loved Phantasma and did not think anything could be better. I was wrong. Enchantra was - is- AMAZING! Somehow, Kaylie Smith wrote an even more exciting, action-packed, hate-love romantacy. Genevieve is easily one of my top three female characters ever. Rowin is the perfect brooding bad boy that cares too much for his family. Enchantra has absolutely everything - an epic, death-defying game, extreme family drama, enemies (sort of)-t0-lovers, brotherly teasing, and devil tricks. I can't wait for the next book in this world. I sooooo hope it will be about Sevin. Genevieve and Rowin must make an appearance, just as Ophie and Salem did in this book.

I finished Phantasma a month or so back and FELL IN LOVE with this world. Little did I know, the second in the series was going to be published soon after I finished. I jumped out of my seat when I was approved for the netgalley ARC. I love the magical worlds Kaylie Smith creates. Devils, hauntings, spirits and ghosts- sign me up. Someone described this series as the adult Caraval and they were not kidding- it is everything you wanted from it but for adults.
The deadly games were sinister and interesting, although I couldn't stop comparing it to Phantasma (and it didn't measure up). I wanted more development of the games and they were brushed over/poorly explained. I was really looking forward to Genevive's story line because she seemed more dynamic than Ophilia, but she ended up being a little too theatrical for my taste. The love interest was unique and brooding, I adored him and his little fox (the animals were really a nice treat). Around 75% I was enjoying but a little disappointed it didn't settle as well as the first. However, the ending drew me in with an audible gasp and sucked me back into the world.
I legit have no idea if there will be more in this series or just a duology? I would prefer a spin off- not continuation.

I need Rowin in ways concerning to feminism. Reading the second book in a series is always a little stressful, but Enchantra more than lived up to the hype. The banter? *𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯* the tension? *𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘧𝘴 𝘬𝘪𝘴𝘴* I demolished this book in one sitting. The forced betrothal/proximity was executed perfectly, and gave the most delicious slow burn yearning and then well earned spice. The banter between Genevieve and Rowin was top tier. I absolutely could not recommend this book more and I can’t wait for book three.

Enchantra is a wild, dark fantasy romance that totally sucked me in. The story follows Genevieve, who’s dealing with the recent death of her mom, and gets drawn into a dangerous game at a cursed palace in Italy. The catch? She has to team up with Rowin Silver, a brooding immortal who is as mysterious as he is swoon-worthy.
They’re forced into a fake marriage to survive the trials, but of course, the tension between them is off the charts. It’s that perfect slow-burn romance mixed with loads of danger, secrets, and magical twists. The world-building is so lush and vivid, and the stakes are high—one wrong move and it’s game over.
If you love fake dating, sizzling chemistry, and a dark, twisty fantasy, Enchantra is definitely worth the read. It’s got that “can’t-put-it-down” vibe, and I’m totally here for it.

4.5* this was super fun!! It did take a bit to get into in the beginning but I was soon very invested in Vivi and Rowin’s story. Their chemistry was really great and I loved seeing them fall for one another as the hunt went on. Also, I truly think each of the Silver siblings needs their own book!!
Thank you to the publisher for my copy! All opinions are my own.

It took me so long to get to this book even though I absolutely loved Phantasma, blame my endless TBR and my atrocious decision making skills
I definitely get the Knives Out comparison, but I liked how in this the family is lowkey crazy but endearing. I didn't love Genevieve from the glimpse we go in the first book but I had said I was hoping this would change my mind about her and it did! She's sassy and so sure of herself, I appreciated that she's plus sized and while it's made clear it also isn't her only defining feature, and she's so determined.
The writing is gorgeous, the setting is immersive with the mansion in winter and feeling the tension all the time both with the hunting games and the romance. There were a few scenes that felt sort of copy and pasted from book one though and after a while a few of the other scenes felt repetitive.
I really liked the characters, I would genuinely devour a book from each and every one of the siblings. Rowin didn't top my baby Blackwell but he is a great MMC, he's quiet and comes off as grumpy but isn't an asshole, he's caring and he really lets Genevieve shine and be her wild self.
I loved that we got to see snippets of Ophelia and Blackwell🫶🏻 my loves
I like the way these books are romances but while the romance is great, it's well balanced with the plot. There is tension and yearning and amazing spice but also the stakes are high and the action is almost constant with some sweeter scenes sprinkled in. And the ending? I honestly didn't see that coming, I was hooked! And as I said in my previous review, I love that these are dark romances that prove consent can still be a key focus and the love interest is caring and not abusive
This is a fast paced book that will pull you in and keep you hooked the whole time. I read it in two sittings and it would have been one if I hadn't been dragged away! It felt like a movie playing out in my head I was so immersed
Overall I preferred Phantasma but I loved this book and I can't wait for the next!

Phantasma was one of my favorite reads of last year, and Enchantra did not disappoint. I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about following Genevieve, especially since I adored Ophelia and Blackwell so much, but her journey totally won me over. She did start off a bit bratty for my liking, but her growth felt so natural and satisfying. Ok so Rowin was H-O-T! But also respectful, calm, and so patient with Genevieve. Their chemistry was fire, and the spicy scenes were all about trust and consent, something I deeply appreciated.
I also fell in love with Rowan’s siblings, especially Seven, with his easy going Charm. Grave was terrifying though! There weren’t any jaw-dropping twists this time, but the romance and character dynamics were more than enough to keep me glued to the story. I devoured it in one sitting.
Narration:
I listened to the audiobook (and read parts on my Kindle, because I couldn’t stop myself), and Laura Horowitz crushed it again. I’ve always loved her narration, but can someone explain why her “guy voice” is SO freaking hot? Like, genuinely hotter than most male narrators I’ve heard. She gave Rowin this deep, delicious tone that had me swooning every time he spoke. Just perfection.
I’m obsessed with this series and cannot wait for book three!

ABSOLUTELY DEVOURED THIS ONE!!!!
I fell in love with Phantasma and honestly didn't think this series or world could get any better but I was wrong. It did.

After Phantasma, I was definitely looking forward to this book. But I loved this even more than the first!
Genevieve and Rowin are *chefs kiss*
I loved the pacing, enemies to lovers, slow burn, and family dynamics. It was an absolute joy that I devoured in two sittings. Give me all the demon / gothic / magical vibes 👏🏼

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review 💜

I really liked this book! It was everything I hoped for! It the perfect mix of fantasy and romance, with a little twist. Loves Genevieve character development during the book and her fierce personality.

I was a little hesitant to read this one because I LOVED Phantasma so much. It was so original, and dak and kept me on the edge of my seat through each night that I just wasn't sure this new story could follow that up but boy was I wrong. This was AMAZING. It had all the best part of Phantasma, with Devils, paranormal creature, spooky mansion with enchanted rooms and a new game that draws you in and keeps you hanging and then adds one of my favorite trop; found family. SOO GOOD. Genevieve is such a lost soul that hids her emotions behind good fashion and kinda of a vapid personality but her travels to Silver Mansion and getting caught up in the Hunt was just like her. She always finds her self in some kind of trouble.
I loved getting to know all the Silver siblings and even though they were all killing each other you can feel the respect and love for each other. They were really stuck in a nasty loop with having to participate in the Hunt every year to save their mother.
While I loved all the levels in Phantasma I loved the use of seemingly kid like games that are so evil and cause such anxiety. I love that Rowin and Genevieve ended up in so many tight spaces, locked rooms and places where they found their attraction hard to deny.
I also need to talk about what I think I am loving most about the writing in this series. The world of Devils, paranormal creatures, historical dress and travel but modern speech and items just make the world easy to become immersed in the story without getting bogged down in fantasy world or a historical world. It is so easy to suspend your disbelief and just enjoy the word and characters and story. It is very different than other novels like this and it is done so well.
The last part of the story is leaving us with a good chance of another novel in this world/story and I am all there for it. Can't wait.

At first I was worried that this would just feel like a repeat of Phantasma. Trapped in a magic house, going through a series of trials and knowing the fmc would fall in love with some paranormal being. Despite all those similarities, I really liked that it felt different and I wasn’t as annoyed by Genevieve’s character as I was expecting to be. Just like Phantasma, the tension and build-up of romance was perfect, and Rowin had me giggling and kicking my feet multiple times (Exhibit A: Worshipping is not usually in my nature but for whatever time you remain in my bed, I will make it your shrine”). Some of the plot twists towards the end should’ve been somewhat obvious but I did not see them coming one bit. I really like way the ending sets up the potential for book 3 and I really hope we get one soon, although I’m not sure who the main character would be.
Thank you so much to netgalley, the author and Second Sky/Forever for providing me with an arc in return for an honest review. All thoughts expressed here are my own.

Thank you net galley for sending this! I loved this, the authors writing was again incredible, much like the first! I highly recommend this and cannot wait to read more by this author

It was a fun read. Better than Phantasma. You can skip the first book. This can be read as a standalone. The romance is much better and I really enjoyed both main characters.

Enchantra, the second book in the Wicked Games series, was an absolute delight to read! After loving the first book, Phantasma, I wondered if this one would hit the mark, but honestly, Enchantra exceeded all my expectations. This time, we follow Genevieve, Ophelia's sister, as she's seeking answers about her mother left unresolved by their mother's untimely passing. Under the guise of her mother, Genevieve has been in correspondence with a Mr. Barrington Silver and receives an invitation to visit him. Little did she know, this decision would lead her down a thrilling and unexpected path. Overall, this was a wonderfully entertaining story that I just couldn't put down. I don't know which book I enjoyed more, the first one or this one, but I'm very much looking forward to the third book!

Enchantra to me was a solid book. Unlike Phantasma, this one felt less serious even though the FMC’s life was on the line, if that makes sense LOL. It felt lighter, and I found myself thoroughly entertained by the Silver siblings. They were unique with individual personalities, which is good considering there were quite a few of them and therefore sometimes it’s hard to diversify that many characters. I loved Rowin, he was a brooding and grumpy MC. He contrasted Vivi’s happy nature, and I absolutely loved that he was pierced everywhere haha. The spicy time they engaged in was ehem memorable. I also really enjoyed the familiars they had around, the vibe and overall ambiance of this gothic themed story.
I did find the villain a bit cartoonish and flat, sort of bland. To that end, the games they played also were kind of boring. Too much hide and seek and sitting in their rooms chilling. I’m not sure what I was expecting but I definitely needed something more. Some higher stakes, some perilous situations. Even when you died in these games it felt underwhelming since we even got to go to Hell and see the dead characters around as if nothing had happened…
The ending was also abrupt and anticlimactic. If I didn’t enjoy myself with the Silver siblings and the familiar shenanigans I probably would have been annoyed to have read the whole story only to get that ending. But everything combined made an overall good story. Am I desperate to pick up the next one? No, but I’ll certainly read it when I can to see which sibling is next and what trouble they get into!
Thank you to NetGalley for providing me this Arc.

4/5 ⭐ overall
4/5 💗 romance
4/5 🌶️ spice

I received a copy of this from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
I really thoroughly enjoyed reading this book! Genevieve and Rowin are just *chef's kiss*. Their banter. His shadows. Rowin is just, so sexy, amiright?
The siblings were also so great in their own respects. Who knew a bloody game of hide and seek with immortals in a magical mansion would work, but it did. I really had fun reading this, even though it was gorey (though not as gorey as Phantasma). and the sex scenes are spicy! Glad to have read this one!

Love, Love, Loved this book! Rowin and Genevieve's characters, banter and story might have topped Blackwell and Ophelia's. I would definitely recommend both books!

There is an audience for this book somewhere but... unfortunately it is not me. I throughly enjoyed Phantasma and kicked my feet like a child when the publisher sent me a copy of this book, I wanted to experience the same level of joy (or more for this book) but it left me disappointed.
“Sometimes I think it’s best not to chase after things. Sometimes all we can do is let them go and hope they come back on their own.”
The spice could have hit the mark but it felt forced and out of place at times - I got to the point where I skipped most of it because it made me cringe.
I tried with every fiber of my being to like Genevieve but the more I read, the more obnoxious her character felt to me. I root for those that are the "black sheep" of the family but it almost felt like it was her only personality trait. That... and... sex. Her character was confusing, not complex. I found myself gravitating towards the side characters (Sevin, I am looking at youuuu👀) more than I was interested in the FMC.
This story had so much potential but overall, it fell flat for me. I am left with more questions than answers. More often than not, aside from the story taking place in a house with a hedge maze and hell, I continuously found myself forgetting she was no longer in New Orleans or that the setting really changed at all! I wish there was more distinction in the dialect with the characters so I felt more immersed in the story and setting.
