I'm always a fan of Falcon Guides hiking books, however I do wish this one included an overall map of the location of lookouts (especially for someone like me who isn't familiar with the areas of NY). Some previous books I've purchased from them have this (if not specifically marked it gives you a few numbers for a general area) and I find that very helpful. Overall, a good hiking resource for fire lookouts in NY

A good guide to fire tower hikes up and down the Adirondacks. It's not the guide's fault, but I wish there were more straight forward addresses for the purposes of finding trailheads. The author did strive to describe locations to make up for this, and that is appreciated.
