A soft, sweet and tender story that will have you swooning the entire time.
This story is not just about strangers meeting in the wildest of circumstances and falling in love, no, there’s more to it.
It’s about loving yourself, developing self-worth, opening your heart, allowing yourself to lean on others, and letting go of the past.
I absolutely love the writing style. The pacing and progression of Theo and Asher’s relationship was immaculate. The intimacy between them was incredible. They were so cute. I love that the spice came much later in the book and they developed a strong and believable emotional connection.
This is pure queer joy and it’s so heartwarming.
If you’re looking for a rom com with adventure, fake dating, that will make you swoon, this is for you.
Thank you to Dialogue books for providing this book via NetGalley.

Thank you! This is a really, really great book and I wish it every success. I hope there will be many more to come!

Super cute feel good romance about a guy who meant to be competing in a reality tv show with his partner, is dumped by said partner at the departure gate. Whilst at the airport bar he meets Theo who is very much the definition of right place, right time in his own life. So on a whim they decide to fake couple and do the show together. Do you need to suspend your reality at the door - absolutely. Did the third act breakup scene make me cringe, and did the roll off from this feel unnecessarily protracted? - sure. But do I adore reality tv show books - yes. Do I adore cute boys getting all into their feeling and falling hard - absolutely. So on the whole I adored this one.

✨4 stars✨
This was such a cute queer romance set against the backdrop of a reality show which was a cross between race across the world and I’m a celebrity get me out of here. I really enjoyed that aspect.
Asher and his boyfriend Clint were supposed to do the show together but after Clint dumps him at the airport, a chance encounter with pilot Theo set the events of this book in motion.
I loved seeing both Asher and Theo grow together and individually as they opened up about their pasts and we saw how they worked together. They were so adorable!
The almost found family/friendships aspect between Asher, Theo, Jo, Arthur, Jen and Ellie was such a fun dynamic to explore.
Tropes:
- fake dating
- forced proximity
I would definitely recommend this fun romance!
I received an ARC from the publishers via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!

From the absolute start I was soooo invested in Asher and Theo's relationship, despite it's fake start. You can instantly see the chemistry between them. Pair that with a fantastic and hilarious group of side characters (I love Jo and Arthur so much!) and you have romcom gold.
Asher and Theo's character development gives this novel a bigger, more nuanced feel than your average romcom. Their shared vulnerabilities and ability to bring out the best in each other really allows their relationship to solidify on the page.
If you loved The Charm Offensive by Alison Cochrun, read this. You won't be disappointed.
Thank you so much NetGalley for an advanced copy of Winging It With You by Chip Pons and I will 100% be recommending this to everyone I know!

This is my favourite MM romance I’ve read in a long time! The concept of this book was so intriguing and unique and it did not fail to disappoint! I had so much fun reading it. The characters were well developed and the progression of Asher and Theo’s relationship felt organic rather than forced. This would be the perfect holiday rom com read!

I absolutely loved Winging It With You. Theo was such a kind, genuine character, and I appreciated how the story explored his insecurities — it made him feel so real. Asher’s independence was refreshing, but I also loved seeing how he still longed for connection.
The game show premise added a really fun and unique twist to the story, giving it energy and charm without taking away from the emotional depth. And the ending? So satisfying and heartwarming. A sweet, uplifting read I’ll definitely be thinking about for a while.

2.5⭐️ thank you netgalley for the ARC!
I went into this blind after loving the cover art for the book but even after reading the blurb it sounds right up my alley!!
unfortunately…as much as I wanted to love this , I just didn’t connect with it. I found Theo enjoyable but wasn’t a fan of Asher. I found the story a little predictable (especially the conflict with Clint in the end) , I found myself getting bored at parts , there wasn’t a lot of depth to the side characters , and was cringed out a little too.
I liked the story with Theo’s family the most , and the spicy scenes were decent, but other than that I was ready to just get it over and done with after the halfway point.

Thank you Chip Pons, Dialogue Books and Netgalley for this ARC.
In Winging It with You, we meet Asher, who has just been dumped by his awful boyfriend at the airport on the way to a couples' game show that combines elements of I'm a Celebrity and Race Across The World, called The Epic Trek. A chance encounter with Theo, a workaholic pilot who unexpectedly finds himself with three weeks off, leads to a fake dating romance broadcasted for all of America to see.
I had high expectations for this book, and while they were partly met, there were a few elements that left me wanting more.
I LOVED the storyline, the two main characters, and the majority of the writing. Theo and Asher have my entire heart, as has Jen. I also found the side characters to be very well developed and believable.
That said, I felt the plot was a bit disjointed. Perhaps this is a result of the formatting of the ARC, but I often found the story jumping forward from one chapter to the next, leaving me with whiplash.
While I enjoyed Ash and Theo's relationship, it felt like it went from zero to a hundred, then back to zero too quickly. There was limited internal dialogue to build up to them showing feelings for each other, which made the progression of their feelings feel a bit abrupt and out of the blue.
Futhermore, I LOVED the idea of The Epic Trek and so much could of been done with this, but instead it felt like they were flying across the world and doing challenges they could of literally done in a studio. The airmiles this show accumulated would give Taylor Swift a run for her money (only joking, I love you TS).
Overall, I had a LOT of fun with this book and despite the above, I thought it was such a cute read.

I really enjoyed this epic adventure that we went on with these characters - it was so fun, although I'm not sure I'd like to do any of the challenges that they did
- fake dating
- forced proximity
- LGBTQ romance - MM
- competing on a TV show
I loved these two characters and how real they felt, I love how open they were with each other and supported each other through the hard times
The first spicy scene is living rent free in my head - it was so unique
I was shocked over the thing that led to the third act conflict - I wasn't expecting it at all and it was so good
I will say there was a couple of times I got confused over where we actually were - the chapter headers does show it but as the characters move around so much (ik this is fictional but who approved that travel plan it was all over the place) I did get confused and have to double check and remind myself
Overall I enjoyed this book and it would make the perfect poolside reading this summer
Thank you to Dialogue Books for the eARC - all opinions are my own

Winging it with you
I loved this story. Great characters, humour and a light read but with a depth of emotion.
At the airport Asher and his partner are about to check in to travel and star in a travel reality show when said partner suddenly turns round and dumps Asher telling him he doesn’t want to do the show even though it was all his idea. Shocked, confused and upset Asher checks in for the flight . At the bar Theo an pilot has just been grounded for working too many hours and doesn’t know what he’ll do with himself and finds himself agreeing to so on the show with Asher and they’ll pretend to be in a relationship.
Gradually with all the trials and tribulations they are put through for the show they become very close and start a relationship both though are still scarred by their previous relationships which leads to some very emotional scenes.
The dialogue between this pair was sparkling and at times sad and heartbreaking which is what gave the depth and was extremely well written. I ended the book with a big sigh and smile….you can’t ask much more from an author than that.
My thanks to net galley and publisher for the opportunity to review this book honestly.

RomCom, fake dating, round the world travel show? A great set up for an entertaining read with more depth than you may expect from the cover art. It's witty and charming and the Ben & Jerry's ice cream graveyard cameo was a delight :)

This my first book by Chip Pons and I was blown away. Definite 5 stars for me.
It had a the MCs travelling and competing in a reality show competition spanning multiple weeks which is something I've never read in a book before so felt very unique.
Theo and Asher have to fake date through the show and as they do slowly get closer while learning more about each other throughout and it had me giddy. I adore these two.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the Arc.

I quite enjoyed Chip's first novel but Winging It With You was a huge step up and can sit there amongst any successful romcom writer with years of experience. I was immediately invested in Theo and Asher's love story. The will-they-won't-they had you hooked from the very start and I more or less read this in one sitting as I had to find out if they'd end up together.
Thank you NetGalley for this advanced copy, I will be 100% be recommending this book!

Thank you to NetGalley and Dialogue Books for approving my request to read an arc of this book
This was such a fun read! I loved Asher and Theo so much and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing their relationship grow from strangers to lovers.
There were so many of my favourite tropes included as well, such as - fake dating, there was only one bed, and forced proximity. It was also a fun twist to have it centred around a reality tv show.
This book was sweet, romantic and spicy at times. I flew through it and finished reading in just one day.
