This is a follow up from the first book, although can be read as a stand alone but will give spoilers to the first book.
It’s a great book for any F1 romance lovers, although it did explain bits for those new to the sport
Enjoyed seeing how the characters relationship built up over time and was always wanting to keep reading to find out what was going to happen… only shame is I felt the ending was a little rushed

LOVED IT!!!!!!
5 stars.
Cute realistic banter, three dimensional characters and INCREDIBLE competence porn. So much detail on F1, but not enough to bore non-fans like me.
very very minor detail that I didn’t like (very minor!) was the fact that I couldn’t keep up with all the secondary characters.

The core theme in this, like it's predecessor, is "assuming makes an ass out of you and me". Am I guilty of it too IRL? Absolutely. Still drives me crazy in books though.
It was just as fun as Lights Out, and perfect for F1 lovers. Though I wasn't as huge of a fan of Ava and Leif, as I was Maisie and Gio. Their chemistry wasn't quite as hot, but it makes sense given who the characters are. We also got to see Maisie and Gio, which was great, and they got me through the first little bit of the book, because "What do you mean they're having problems?!" Realsitic, but still stressful. Anyhoo..
Fletcher manages to spend quite a bit of time on more specific F1 aspects, but still makes it digestible to newcomers too, so you don't need an expansive understanding to enjoy it.
You could feel Ava's nervous energy radiating off the pages, and I felt like she was a lot more one track minded, and less funny than we had previously seen her, but we didn't know her back story then.
There are some minor pacing issues, and the characters felt a little one dimensional, but it's a fun and easy read regardless.
My personal gripes is that I think Leif took her back to easily. But you do stupid stuff when you're in love, she technically had an explanation but I felt like "I've gone to go to therapy to work on myself" should've been included in the apology, and plenty of FMCs have taken back their SOs for doing worse so....
My initial vibes based rating was a 4, I'd probably move it down to a 3.5 now. But I don't regret reading it one bit, and definitely recommend others to try it.
Thank-you to NetGalley and Penguin Books for allowing me to read this ARC.

This was such a great romance book! Very cool itsctargeted gif the YA set as well! I think Ava & Leif have great chemistry and I cannot wait for readers to discover this amazing book about the Formukac1 racing world. It was a crion packed and romantic what more can you ask for. Definitely check this one out!
