This is a brilliant audiobook for anyone wants to add or increase mindfulness in their day to day lives. The narrator is engaging and reassuring. The fact that each chapter/day is just three minutes long, means you can adapt mindfulness into your life in a manageable, sustainable way without it feeling overwhelming.. It makes it easy to form the habit and gives you time to process what you've listened to before the next day. I'd certainly recommend this book to audiobook listeners who want to create space for mindfulness in their day to day life.
Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a chance to review this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

This audiobook is such an easy way to work mindfulness into your life in a very short period of time. I enjoyed each day and how easy it was to follow along and reflect on what you read. This is the kind of book that everyone should read at somepoint!

This is a really useful audiobook to have in your pocket! I love that each session is short. I loved listening to this in the morning to start my day in the best way!

Great for newbies like myself to Mindfullness. ery morning to force you to think, reflect, and slow down. I really enjoyed it and plan to use each day

This was a great read and I have been recommending to my friends to find and try it out! Quick listens for each day that help think about mindfulness in new ways, some of which I have never heard or thought of before. Definitely going to try and find a hard copy to use and annotate!!
Recommended reading during your morning commute!

This is a different kind of book. This is a book of things to do to help your mindfulness. It can be listened to each day or as a whole book. I listened to it each workday and tried to do each activity each day.
The narrator has a nice voice. It was a peaceful one that helped.
I deducted one star because, honestly, for me, this kind of book would have been better for me a visual form instead of an audio.

Thank you to publishers and NetGalley for this ARC.
This was fine but seems like basic advice given in 90% of mindfulness books. Helpful if this is the first time you’ve ever reached for one.

This daily Mindfullness practice was straightforward and easy to digest daily. I actually wished each day was a bit longer (usually they were only a few minutes). Ideally each would have been 10 ish minutes or so I feel like to really make opening and listening worth it. But in reading format I could see how the short sections could be beneficial. I found myself listening to 2-3 at a time instead of just one. Overall It was a good listen and I would recommend.

I'd like to thank NetGalley for this audiobook received in exchange for an honest review.
Positives:
A few helpful tips
Short sections
Negatives:
Although there are a few tips that are helpful, most of the advice given is basic, it feels like we're only scratching the surface here
It doesn't contain any breathing techniques (even though they're essential parts of mindful living)
Too much repetition (2 or more, one of the techniques was even told 4 times, while every day's tip should be different)
For a starter, it will be just enough (I recommend it for them), but for someone looking for deeper knowledge, it will not suffice.

This is a great beginner's guide to mindfulness. It consists of 31 short daily exercises to increase self-awareness and help you slow down. They're only a couple minutes each. I like that it's science-backed and strips away the fluff that can tend to push away the more skeptical among us.
Recommended for anyone who is interested in mindfulness but isn't into woo. If you're an experienced practitioner it may be nothing new, but is certainly full of good reminders.
Thank you NetGalley for the ALC.

Simple mindfulness was easy to include in my hectic day. Was a good reminder to slow down and appreciate all the little things life has to offer.

This was a great guide to small nuggets of mindfulness, which were mostly easy to incorporate into my day. Sometimes each day felt like it had a few too many tasks though, especially at the beginning when I was just getting used to it. However the audiobook format was very effective - I could listen as I woke up, making a calming start to my day, and I liked the narrator.

I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook. You could listen to it each day, or you could listen to chunks at a time. The narrators voice was calming and easy to understand. Great tips for clearing your brain of all the clutter and focus on what really matters. I highly recommend listening to this!!
Thank you!!

This is a very insightful and interesting book. I found it very helpful and would recommend it to people who would like to try mindfulness.
It went at a good pace and the narrator was pleasant to listen to.
Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for gifting me this arc in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.

Thank you to Victory Editing Net Galley Co-op for this gem of a mindfulness meets self-care meets strategies for wellness audiobook (which runs under TWO hours and is arranged in daily bits of wisdom that can be noted or put immediately into practice). Daily Mindfulness: A 31 day guide to mental clarity by Alex Smith-Powell is exactly what the title offers -- strategies for mental clarity and more.
To be fair I wanted to go through this audiobook a few times to provide a thorough review because the content is something I believe strongly in and have experience with. As a cognitive therapist and practicing meditator, the day by day suggestions included in this book are simply wonderful. More than that, they are achievable and, as promised in the intro, are not "set in stone" but are more of a "buffet" of suggestions that the reader can utilize (now or in the future). Some interconnect (especially thanks to the repetitive PRACTICE that is required to get our human brains off of autopilot and into self-awareness - using that all-important PAUSE).
My greatest takeaway (and so important in our current times with so much disorder and divisiveness in the world) is the author's repeated use of the word - GENTLENESS! Practically every suggestion Ms. Smith-Powell offers includes a reminder to be gentle with ourselves as we practice day to day. This is all a PRACTICE (to break away from habitual behavior, technology, etc. and notice what we are doing and to even make different choices). This book could have just as easily been titled -- Gentle Attention, Gentle Curiosity, Gentle Redirection, or Gentle Awareness. It's not about being perfect - it's about maximizing effectiveness (in our energy, in making decisions, in our use of time). For the amount of investment this book involves (1 hour/45 min!!) and the beautiful narration, this is a 5-star wellness and self-care book that I recommend to everyone. Narrated by Sarah Buck. Available now!!

Okay, I loved this little mindfulness gem! It’s like a daily brain hug—just a couple of minutes each day to reset and remind yourself that you’re doing your best. The vibe is super chill and doesn’t take itself too seriously.
Also, can we talk about the British accent? Sarah Buck’s voice is so soothing I’d probably listen to her read my to-do list.
Quick, calming and mindful!

This is a really nice book. The audio is well done and the chapters are short, They're great prompts for daily practice and it's a wonderfully flexible and understanding book.

Such a wonderful audio to use every morning to force you to think, reflect, and slow down. I really enjoyed it and plan to use is more often/sporadically.

3.5 stars.
This 31-day guide builds your foundation through practical exercises that fit naturally into your day - no meditation cushion required. Each day brings a concise 2-minute read or listen, grounded in research and focused on understanding your mind's natural patterns. Learn to navigate stress, improve focus, and build resilience through small, strategic changes that add up to lasting mental clarity.
This book arrived at the right time for me. As I was swept away with never-ending to-do lists, chores and work demands, this book reminded me to pause and slow down.
Admittedly, I didn’t spend 31 days to read all the advices. The 2-minute bite-sized topics were so easy to go through. While speeding through this suited me just fine, you might want to follow its official use - just listen to a chapter daily, to anchor and ground your day.
I didn’t learn anything mind-shattering, but I enjoyed this. I took notes to remind myself of some of the topics, such as controlling my emotional weather and learning my default reactions to things. I’d recommend this to anyone needing a pause button.

I really liked this audiobook, the idea of practicing mindfulness each day with only small tasks to do is something that I would find manageable and not overwhelming. Id be more likely to follow through with completeing the 31 days.
I enjoyed listening to a very calming and easy to understand narrator. She helped me relax and be able to pay full attention which I found helped a lot being able to take it all in.
I highly recommend this audiobook as a way of adding something like mindfulness into your daily routine. Something that can make such a difference.
Thank you Netgalley and Alex Smith-Powell for sending me a copy of the audiobook to review.
