Absolutely loved this book, a gripping thriller that kept me guessing until the very end. I would definitely read more books from this author

Thanks to NetGalley & Headline publishing for the chance to read this book!
VERY Fast paced read, somehow I knew what was happening from the very beginning even though I don't remember there being any hints at the plot twist early on (It's an ADHD thing) BUT that DID NOT take away from the excitement of the book AT ALL, getting to the how, when, why of things was very important, it's like an "I NEED TO KNOW NOW" type of thing for me!
Great book and crazy insightful into how the mind works/blocks things out to protect us! Def giving us all something to think about, I hope we see more of this genre from this author!

This book was absolutely brilliant. I found it hard to put down. I part guess bits but not all. I hope the author writes some more books in this genre.

The Woman in Ward 9 by Naomi Williams was so good!
The writing was great, and the author did a good job bringing the reader into the story.
The mystery element of the story was engaging.
She painted very vivid picture. And the characters were captivating and drew me in.

This is absolutely brilliant!! What a gripping story full of twists and turns. I devoured it in one sitting . Fantastic and thoroughly enjoyable

Thank you Net Gallery for the book. It was very enjoyable, very entertaining, lots of twists and turns. I loved the characters. The only bad thing I have to say about this book is that it kept me reading way past midnight, I couldn't put it down! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Laura is a woman who is found covered in blood after blacking out. It's not her blood and she can't remember anything. She is admitted to a high security psych unit and will only be seen by one psychologist that she has requested...Emma.
As Emma unravels the story, she herself appears to be unravelling.
This is a slow burn of a read, but, gosh! It kept my interest as the layers of Laura's story starts to intertwine with Emma's. It's an interesting, compulsive read with a cracking summary.
I thoroughly enjoyed it and wish the author every success. Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers Headline for the opportunity to preview.

The Woman in Ward 9 by Naomi Williams opens with the horror of Laura, being found in the kitchen of her own home covered in blood that is subsequently proved not to be hers. As she has no memory of what happened, she is admitted to Heaton Place, a psychiatric unit. The unit brings in a psychologist, Emma, as Laura will only communicate with her. Emma’s brief is to try and unlock Laura’s memories and gain her trust in the limited timeline of five days. The only problem for Emma is that as Laura’s story is revealed, various aspects of her personal life have disturbing similarities to Emma’s. This leaves Emma not only questioning her abilities as a therapist but also questioning whether Laura is a murderer or in reality, a victim.
The Woman in Ward 9 is a brave attempt at a very different psychological thriller. I did find the pace a little slow in the beginning, but as there is an excellent build-up of tension and menace throughout. The twist at the end is totally unpredictable and took my breath away. I will definitely read more from this author.
Sincere thanks to NetGalley, Naomi Williams and especially Headline Books for the much-appreciated ARC in exchange for an open and honest review.

Wow! What a ride this book took me on! What a grip it had on me! Can we get a movie made out of this one???Imagine waking up in a psychiatric ward, with no memory of how or why you are there. Did you commit the crime they are accusing you of? Who can you trust? This book has it all. Mystery, action, suspense, emotional rollercoasters, and is just everything you would want in a psychological thriller. I felt this book was written at a great speed and really captures the readers attention from the beginning. The author did a fantastic job of wrapping up any questions at the ending as well. This is a MUST read.
Thank you NetGalley, Naomi Williams, and Publisher for the eArc. I will be adding this one to my collection.

The Woman in Ward 9 by Naomi Williams offers a gripping, if at times unsettling, look into the lives within a psychiatric ward. The author masterfully crafts a tense atmosphere, where the lines between sanity and delusion blur for both the patients and the reader. The character development, particularly of the 'woman,' is compelling, drawing you deeper into her complex world. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this early release.

Laura, a psychologist herself, is in a psych ward after being found in her own kitchen, covered in someone else’s blood, with absolutely no memory of what happened. She has requested psychologist, Emma, to be the one that helps her uncover the events leading up to this. They have just 6 days before the law takes over. Emma is a bit confused as to why Laura has chosen her specifically, and then she realizes how deep some of the similarities between both their lives are.
From the start, I loved this author’s writing style. This book was wild! I was kept on my toes he entire time. Eerie little things kept happening that kept me guessing. The suspense was real and this story had my jaw dropping! I just wish there was a bit more to the ending and perhaps a better resolution. I am left wanting to re-read this book knowing what I know now.
Thank you to NetGalley and Headline for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

A dark and deceitful story and j felt that I couldn't breathe throughout. I loved the main character and was desperate to find out the truth. Lots twists and turns, a brilliant psychological thriller

Laura Winters was found alone, soaked in somebody else’s blood. She doesn’t remember what happened or why she has lost her memory. The only thing she is certain of is that the only psychologist she can talk to is Emma Best. Emma has just six days to unlock Laura’s memories to find out the truth.
This thriller was a mindfuck and I love that! It had a cleverly crafted plot which I loved. My only criticism is that I found the pace a little slow at the very start, but the intrigue of the situation kept me invested. By the time I got to the last 55% of the book, I was racing through it and could barely put it down! I really really enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it!
Thank you to NetGalley and Headline books for providing me with an ARC of this book to review! All opinions are my own.

Well, this was a roller-coaster!
It is well done, keeps you guessing throughout the book. It makes you think whether you are going crazy too or not MB Eventually I kind of knew where this was going but I wasn't prepared for the final twist.
It is fast-paced, perfect for summer. I read this while on holiday.

Thank you NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review
I really enjoyed this book it was your typical fast paced thriller with twists and then another twist highly recommend for fans of Frieda McFadden etc

This was a great read. I was hooked early in the story and although I mostly figured it out, it didn't stop my enjoyment! It had an intenseness to it which I haven't felt reading a thriller in a while. It kept me wanting to read more. I was hoping for more conversations during therapy but did find it weird that there would be a group of people who needed to sit through the sessions as I know this wouldn't happen in real life. It was well written, fast paced and I was able to speed through, as I just wanted to get to the end, hoping for a final twist. I will say, I didn't expect the ending. Not even something my mind went to which was great!

There were lots of twists and turns in this, it kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I really enjoyed this story

This is a fast paced book by this author. I loved the storyline, it had me gripped from beginning to end. The flow of the book was very easy to follow and the chapters were at an ideal length as I do not like long chapters.
I loved the plot twist at the end. I was not expecting that at all. Thank you so much for the early access to read this book. Wishing every success to the author on publication day

When Laura Winters is found covered in blood, that is not the only reason - however justified - for her to be distressed. Because Laura cannot remember how she came to find herself in this position!
Taken to a facility for psychiatric care, she does somehow, despite her amnesia, seem convinced that she does not want to speak to anyone except one particular psychiatrist. But no one, including Laura herself, seems able to explain why that is so...
A suspenseful story that offers all the twists and turns any reader could desire, this one easily gets 3.5 stars and is not to be missed.

Fast paced and engaging, with just enough detail to feel authentic. While the plot was predictable, the solid writing and believable world kept me reading. I loved that it felt well researched and accurate but without feeling too clinical or analytical. It really did help being the story to life and the characters all felt very realistic and so it was easy to just get lost In the plot
