Boudicca's Daughter already looks absolutely amazing. Elodie Harper's writing is phenomenal—lyrical, vivid, and emotionally resonant. Even in this brief glimpse, she manages to conjure a world full of tension, legacy, and the strength of women caught in the tides of history.
Boudicca's Daughter is sure to be another unforgettable novel. I’ll be buying the full book the moment it’s released!

This was a short extract, but you clearly get a feel for the main character (Solina) and the dangers her family are currently facing.
It has me intrigued to read the full story to find out how the author plans to play our Boudicca's story through the eyes of her daughter

Really good book that I found very interesting. Would love to read more of this book as I am very interested in anything about Boudicca.

I honestly don’t think Elodie Harper could write anything I wouldn’t be obsessed with.
I absolutely loved this extract and now I’m counting down the days until I can read the whole book.
The wait is agonising!

Thank you for a copy of this extract in return for an honest review.
"This army is led by greed, rage and hatred. It is led not by Catia but by Boudicca, a monstrous figure the people conjured into being out of their own anger."
Boudicca, a legendary figure in both history and feminine action, sets the scene for one of the most infamous times in early medieval history. This was incredibly well written and evocative of female rage that still echoes down the centuries, Many different reads will find something of themselves in this story and I cannot wait to read a full copy.

Loved this extract. I look forward to reading the whole book. I loved Eloise’s previous works. And am sure this will be just as good.

Could this be my book of the year?
This may be my favourite Elodie Harper book yet! And if you've read The Wolf Den series, you'll know exactly how much that means.
Boudicca’s Daughter is a powerful novel that will put you through all the emotions. Harper's writing is completely immersive; from the lands and rebellion of the Iceni, to the opulence and corruption of Ancient Rome.
Solina, Boudicca's eldest daughter, is an incredible character with a unique and vast perspective. From her Iceni upbringing in the Horse and Wolf tribes, the brutal rape of her and her sister, the glory of her mother's uprising, her fighting as a fierce warrior and leader, through to the aftermath and beyond. What does it mean when rebellion fails, both personally and politically, for her and her people? And in the end what legacy can she leave of the Iceni? Solina is many things; daughter, sister, warrior, slave, and above all, survivor. "This is not where it ends."
Sparse points of views from Boudicca and her Roman vanquisher, Paulinus, add to Solina's for a rich complexity and fullness of narrative. Experiencing the dangerous politics and brutality of Ancient Rome was something else.
Elodie Harper has the immense skill of giving a voice in historical fiction to the often voiceless in history. I can't wait to read what she writes next. And you should definitely go and read this ASAP.

The story of the daughter of Boudicca, the ancient British queen who fought the Romans, from bestselling author Elodie Harper. It's hard to review from an 8 page extract but this is clearly going to be an engaging novel, written in the lyrical and gripping style that made Harper's Wolf Den trilogy so beloved. I'm excited to read the rest.

I can only use one word for this review because I cannot think of a more coherent way to put this review: obsessed.

Really enjoyed this extract and I have added this book to my TBR! It's tough to give more information, but this feels very promising.

If the rest of the book continues on the same path as the extract I read, then I believe that this book will be amazing.
The characters development is great and I love how courageous and strong Elodie is written.
I look forward to finally being able to finish this story when it’s fully released.

This isn't the longest extract to review but it definitely had me intrigued and I'm looking forward to read the whole thing!

Only an extract so difficult to give a full review. Based on the extract I’m not in a rush to read but I will add it to my TBR

Elodie Harper does not disappoint. I have been anticipating Boudicca's daughter after finding and loving Elodie Harper's The Wolf Den Trilogy - easily one of the best historical fiction series of all time, genuine genius, there is nothing like it. I can't wait to read all of this book when it is released, I have no doubt Elodie Harper will give a fierce and resounding voice to the women of history, as she always does.

The Wolf Den trilogy is one of my favourite book series and I recommend it to everyone, so Boudicca's Daughter is one of my most anticipated releases of 2025.
I was thrilled to read an extract - and it has only made me even more excited. Although just a short tease, Solina's character leaps from the pages, fierce and brave and I'm looking forward to becoming more aqauinted with her. I love Eloidie's writing style, it instantly grips you and is a breath of fresh air. She really makes history come alive - This is going to be epic and I can not wait!

Well, this was a very short excerpt—not even a full chapter. It ends in the middle of the action.
I will read the book because I liked The Wolf Den, but I can’t understand why the excerpt isn't a full chapter.

A big fan of Harper’s work. This sample throws you right into an action packed scene.
Loved this excerpt, can’t wait to read the full book.

Ahhhh I couldn't be more excited for this now and it was already one of my most anticipated reads of the year.
I loved Elodie Harper's writing in The Wolf Den trilogy. And this was no different. It's so visual and this small extract throws you straight into the action. I was instantly hooked and desperate to know what happens next.
My only complaint is how am I going to be able to wait until August to read the rest!

Although only 8 pages, the excerpt has definitely piqued my interest. Looking forward to diving into the complete book.

I am so intrigued already. I loved the wolf den trilogy so I am very excited for this book! Hooked from the extract!
