Back in the beautiful lake district with familiar faces. This is the third book in the series but could be read as standalone .
It’s an exciting and challenging time for Ottille . Will she remain in the village or will she return to Manchester?

Tilly is a master story teller. id like to think i cant jinx an authors so i will go forth and say she can do no wrong with her writing and her books are five stars and more every single time. i couldnt love this author more...oh okay every new book i seem to!
this book is book 3 of a series that follows a community and mainly our character Ottilie. if youve followed all the books you will adore her. but actually, if this is your first in the series you will still adore her. but youll want to go back and read her whole stories up to now, and that of the little community she lives. because its one of the best.
this book is following her love story. which has been so wonderful to witness via the other two books. she didnt always have it easy having lost her first love. so i have been holding my breath hoping she and Heath will be ok. this book arrives at the time of their wedding. but someone turns up quite unexpected. and that someone is Fion who claims to be her half sister. and this in itself brings surprise and possibly a few moments of heartbreak. how did she get a half sister? what part of her past and core self is about to change when she finds out exactly what happened in her own parents past?

this book had me gulping and a little emotional at times. if you can be overwhelmed by your investment into a book series then this is one of those times. it just felt like people i knew were going through strife and i hated it.
that doesnt stop this book from filling my whole heart and loving every moment i got to sit down and read it.
there is nothing better than a good book. and they dont get better than books like this one. i feel truly lucky that we have authors like Tilly around us.

Another book in the village nurse series- the third to be exact. This time Ottalie is engaged and finally getting some happiness after her first husband’s tragic death. However, a surprise is in store when a woman turns up claiming to be her half sister. The complexity of this new relationship is a major theme of this book. There’s a kind of cliffhanger ending which raises expectations of a fourth book. Can’t wait

This book returns to the charming village of Thimblebury in the Lake District, continuing the heartwarming journey of village nurse Ottilie Oakcroft. Now engaged to Heath, Ottilie’s life seems idyllic as they plan their engagement party. However, the unexpected arrival of Fion, claiming to be Ottilie’s half-sister, introduces unforeseen challenges and emotional complexities. The narrative delves into themes of family secrets, personal identity, and the dynamics of newfound relationships. Ottilie’s internal conflict and her evolving relationship with Fion are depicted with sensitivity, adding depth to the storyline. This is a delightful continuation of the series, offering a comforting blend of romance, family drama, and community charm.

Ottilie is engaged to Heath and she finally feels settled and happy but when a surprise visitor arrives at her engagement party claiming to be Ottilie's half sister things are certainly about too get messy. I think the characters handle themselves well in the story and I enjoyed seeing Ottilie in love as we didn't get to meet her first love Josh. The plot has a few surprises which have me excited. I am hoping that this isn't the last book as it ends on a sort of cliffhanger that had me jumping for joy!

A surprise half sister upends Ottilie's plans with Heath and her quiet life in the Lake District. Fion moves in and changes everything as the two get to know one another. Fion's very different from Ottilie but she's a good egg at heart. I liked the village atmospherics. While I missed the first books of the series but this was just fine as a standalone. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. A good read.

This is book three in the series but can be read as a standalone although I recommend the full series from the beginning for maximum enjoyment.

It was lovely to be back in the beautiful setting of the lakes and to reconnect with this lovely community of characters particularly ottilie and to see how her relationship with Heath further developed. These books are full of friendship and have a real community feel and explore real relatable issues and include characters which the reader is able to connect too.

I really hope there is going to be a book 4.

This is book 3 of a 3 book series, but each book can be read as standalone if preferred.

So it was truly lovely to be reacquainted with Ottilie and Heath, along with a whole host of other characters whom also featured in previous two books. We also get to meet a couple of new characters, mainly Ottilie half sister Fion.

It was a fun story, with lots of drama and other stuff going on, lots of gossiping within the neighbourhood community which Ottilie has to deal with and ends up having mixed feelings about.

So all in all another enjoyable story that was well written with some great characters.

I’ve enjoyed the characters so much, that I’m hopeful that there will be a book 4 to the series.

It was great to be back with Ottilie and the gang. I love catching up on the village gossip. Discovering she has a sister was major for Ottilie and I felt how she handled the situation was very calm and mature. Not only did she have to deal with her mothers infidelity, but also her biological dads total rejection, but all the while she loved and accepted her half sister Fion and showed immense maturity when dealing with all the drama Fion brought into her life and the village.

Some interesting twists and turns and character developments, and as usual, ends just as you’re hanging on every word!! I can’t wait for the next instalment and see Ottilie and Heath become a family.

I loved this story of the nurses in the lake District especially Ottilie who was a lovely character and it was nice following her story and romance. The visitor who arrived at her cottage was a great surprise and made for a great story in itself. A real page turner and fascinating read. I love this series.

As Heath and Ottilie celebrate their engagement with a surprise party in the village of Thimblebury, a surprise visitor turns Ottilie’s world upside down.

On discovering that she has a half sister, Ottilie invites Fion to spend time with her so they can get to know each other.

With Heath being offered a promotion at work, Fion moves in with Ottilie, and soon causes waves in the little village.

This is the third book in The Village Nurse series and I liked being back in Ottilie’s world again.

I liked her relationship with her newfound sister and the ease with which they bonded.

As always with a small village, gossip goes around very quickly and I couldn’t help but smile at how the author deals with it in her writing.

An entertaining and quick read, I do hope there will be more books to come in this series.

My thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for a copy in exchange for my honest review.

Another story about Ottilie and her life in a small village. Definitely should be read in order. An unexpected new family member, discovered through genetic testing, throws her life and that of boyfriend Heath for a spin. Not my favorite in the series but still a nice read.
