This was my first book by this author, and it hooked me immediately! The twists and turns, some predictable but some still gasp worthy! The narrators for the audio book did a great job as it was my time listening to them, Kaden Catalina and Jay Parker. I really enjoyed the audio, the short chapters that kept me engaged. At times my jaw was on the floor! This is a great book but i loved it in audio, fantastic! Thank you NetGalley and Red Raven Publishing for my copy! Highly recommend! 🥰

After I read the first two chapters, I almost DNF this book. I'm so glad I stuck with it, because soon after chapter two, I couldn't put it down. I love a good domestic thriller and this did it for me!

Written from many different POV, the main characters are married couple Cole and Megan and their daughter Hazel.
The martial secrets that are revealed are crazy and the twists makes for a rollercoaster of a read.

I am still contemplating my feelings over this story. I am very borderline on whether I enjoyed this or just tolerated it. It could go either way. I enjoy loosely. I did think about giving up on this, but at the same time, I wanted to know what happened. This story has 4 POVs, though the blurb only talks about our main two. Meghan, the wife who survived a disfiguring accident, and Cole, the husband who has secrets and a history of being unfaithful to his wife. Our other 2 POVs are a mystery woman and Meghan and Cole's daughter. Meghan and Cole have been through a lot in their 14 years of marriage, but their crowning joy is Hazel, their daughter. After Meghans' accident, in which she also had brain damage, she is pulling away from everyone. In the story, we see everything as it comes to a head. Our story is full of attempted murder, stalking, gaslighting, unreliable narrators, and a wife determined to keep her daughter close and safe. I'm one of those annoying people (so says my husband) who tend to guess the big twist...which I did. I don't think it was super obvious, but I was not surprised. There were so many red herrings, though, that the story does keep you guessing. What puts me on the fence is that I did not like any of the characters, I didn't really have anyone to root for (except maybe the kid), and that just throws me off the story. Overall, though I did stick with it and it was ok. I loved the narration style. There are two narrators (male and female), and they read their characters' chapters, but they also read the male/female parts throughout the entire book, so it felt more authentic to listen to. I wish there were more books like this. Both voice actors were perfect for their roles, and honestly, they are what kept me engaged when the story kept me wanting to give up.

*The Webs You Weave* is a tense, fast-paced thriller that kept me hooked with its unsettling atmosphere and unpredictable characters. Shade Owens excels at building suspense, and the shifting perspectives added a layer of complexity that made the story feel dynamic. The audiobook narration was particularly impressive—instead of a single narrator attempting all voices, each character’s dialogue was delivered by a different voice actor, even within the same chapter. This creative choice made conversations feel more immersive and distinct, elevating the listening experience.

That said, the book isn’t without its flaws. Some of the prose leaned into clichés, and certain plot twists were telegraphed so heavily that they lost their punch. While these reveals still moved the story forward, I couldn’t help but wish they had been more subtly executed. However, the ending completely redeemed any predictability—it was chaotic, darkly humorous, and utterly unhinged in the best way possible. That final vignette alone made the journey worthwhile.

Overall, *The Webs You Weave* is an entertaining thriller with a strong narrative drive and excellent audio production. It doesn’t reinvent the genre, but it delivers solid suspense with a few standout moments. If you enjoy psychological thrillers with unconventional storytelling choices, this is worth your time. The webs you weave by shade Owens - Meghan has a traumatic brain injury and her personality has changed… Cole is the doting husband… or is he? This book is loaded full of unreliable narrators and I normally can’t handle that but I really enjoyed this book. I didn’t see any of it coming! The gaslighting was real in this one so check the triggers!

I have found as many Shade Owens books as I could! Such a good author!

This book was crazy but very addicting, I could not put it down! These characters were literally nuts, I loved it.

I find this type of writing frustrating. As a reader we can only rely on the author to get our information. So if the author simply lies to us or gives us a fantasy version of a character it doesn't hold for the story. Where we could have just avoided that point of view until we got closer to the end because info contained around that is actually quite an interesting story that's dealing with brain damage and mental illness. I do fear for these teens if they were in a real world because everybody around them in their life is definitely messed up.
The story follows a gal who is in a severe accident and lost the use of her left arm as well as got brain damage. She's on the road to recovery but knows that her mind isn't working quite right and she does forget things. So she thinks she's being gaslit by her husband, but then thinks maybe it's actually her just not able to hold on to things. Both are truly legit issues that happen in the world. It actually gets pretty intense and scary at various times. There seemed not to be recourse for some actions. All in all it is an interesting story if you are into psychological thrillers you might enjoy this one. The only reason I wouldn't rate it higher is because the frustration of listening to the internal thoughts of a character that was all outright lie when that wasn't at all the internal thoughts or the actions of this character.

I can’t quite put my finger on what was missing in this book. It has all the good parts, an intriguing plot and almost obvious that one of the two narrators is not reliable and you can’t quite decide which one. Overall it was good, but maybe dragged on a bit?

Ooooo ... the title of this book is absolutely perfect ... so many webs are woven in this gripping audiobook.

I have read one of Shade Owen's previous books, Death Row Games, and really enjoyed it so didn't want to miss the chance to grab another and I wasn't disappointed.

This audiobook is intriguing in that you have no idea which of the main characters you can trust - Meghan who is recovering after a brain injury or her husband Cole, you also have their daughter, Hazel, and a mystery 'diary entry' person. This does sound a little confusing and whilst it could be if you were reading a physical book, this was not the case with the audiobook with the excellent narrators who brought the characters to life.

A great book that's full of tension, misdirection and red herrings and one that I am happy to recommend. Many thanks to the author, Red Raven Publishing and NetGalley for enabling me to listen to and share my thoughts of this book.

This book shows how life can change in an instance.A mother struggling with a new handicap, along with motherhood and a strained marriage trying to persevere and make the best out of what she can only to find out her husband has been cheating on her. It is very easy to listen to and follow along. I would rate this book 6/10 and I would recommend it to anyone who likes revenge plots and getting even

I absolutely love a domestic thriller and this novel had me hooked from the very beginning. Who can you trust? Who can you believe is telling the truth? I loved how this book had me guessing the entire way through.

I really enjoyed this audiobook; I am going to go as far as to say this is my favourite audiobook that I have ever listened too. It is so immersive. I love the different voices used, and the sound effects to mimic being someone on the other end of the phone etc. So much thought was taken to make this audiobook incredible, and in my opinion, it has paid off.

I also thoroughly enjoyed the plot to The Webs You Weave. It was chaotic, dark and 'unhinged', but I mean most of the best Psychological Thrillers are! I enjoyed the change in different perspectives from three different women. This book covers themes of sexual assault, emotional abuse, and the objectification of women. The book was extremely well written, and personally kept me on edge and in suspense. I literally had a :o face at one point, so I think, for me this book hit the twists category needed for a Thriller.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to read this; I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

I love this author so much, so naturally I signed up for this one immediately. This one is not her best but I still loved it! It was weird and creepy.
I liked the narration too.
