3.75 stars.
This was a cute, likeable read about Christine, a song plugger ( someone who finds songs for artists) and her involvement with Austin, a rising male country star and his tour entourage, including the tour manager, Matt. The author has worked in the country music industry for years and her familiarity with the topic really shows. I found the behind the scenes elements very interesting. So many moving parts in pulling a tour together and finding a hit song for a rising artist!
While the country music industry was the foundation of the novel, the author wove several relevant and relatable issues into the story such as self-doubt, bullying, the insidiousness and negativity of social media, friendship, healing, and love. Both of the male characters that Christine becomes involved with are likeable and kind-hearted. There was some miscommunication in the relationship between Christine and Matt that went on a bit too long, in my view, but I was rooting for them. I also liked the positive platonic relationship between Christine and Austin. I would have liked to see a bit more development of Austin and Matt’s characters.
Overall, this is another entertaining read to put on your TBR pile!
Thanks to BookSparks and She Writes Press for this complimentary copy in my role as an SRC2025 Ambassador!

Love on Tour is a sunshine-wrapped, wanderlust-fueled romance that hits every note like a perfect encore. Lee Adams crafts a heart-thumping love story between a buttoned-up tour manager and a charmingly chaotic indie rock star on the rise. What starts as a temporary gig on the road becomes a crash course in letting go, falling hard, and making space for love amidst the noise.
Adams strikes a brilliant balance of swoon-worthy moments and emotional depth, with witty banter, late-night confessions, and stolen kisses under stage lights. The chemistry is electric, the pacing keeps you hooked, and the backdrop of international tour stops adds just the right level of escapism. If you’ve ever dreamed of a summer fling with a side of backstage passes and found family vibes, this one’s your jam.

This debut blew me away! It takes off from the very first chapter and really doesn't slow down. I read it so quickly! Christine is a song plugger (I honestly didn't know this existed, but of course now that I do, makes total sense 😁), who has a high-heel mishap out the CMAs. When the man that comes to her rescue is none other than country superstar Austin Garrett, her life is changed in some pretty awesome ways. Unfortunately, it ends up being changed in some not-greay ways as well. I'm not going to mention these because I don't want to give anything away, as is definitely a huge piece of the story.
Love on Tour is written by a country music exec, so there is so much back stage knowledge filtered throughout the story, which made the story so much richer.
I loved the dynamic between Christine and Austin, and the dynamic between Christine and Matt even more. Christine's friends, as well as Austin's band, play a big role in the story as well which I loved. This was such a great read. I hope we get lots more from Lee Adams!

I have really mixed feeling on this book.
I found it was very weirdly paced, the start moved very quickly then it jumped between times which sometimes made it hard to follow.
It very much gave off a fan fiction style book which younger me would have loved but I wouldnt class this as an adult romance.
There was some very hard topics within this book which were well written and I am glad towards the end it spoke about getting support.
Not sure how I feel on the ending, very abrupt...
If you are looking for a quick romance read with a bit of drama and based on falling for a star this might be for you.
Thank you to Booksparks / netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Unfortunately this is one of those instances where the description of the book is better than the actual book itself. It had so much promise but the writing in this one seemed a bit off. It didn't really flow properly and came off a little clunky. The pacing threw me off also, it kind of felt like you were dropped in the middle of a story and things were moving so quickly, especially in the first few chapters, that it didn't seem natural or believable in the slightest. I also dislike when things are overly explained for the audience's benefit disguised as dialogue between characters.
None of the characters are particularly likable and I didn't find myself rooting for any of them. I hated all of Christine's friends (one even says to her at one point "safety is sometimes overrated" which... what??"), and I felt zero connection to her, Matt or Austin, nor did I feel her connection with either one of them.
This book had so much potential. To tie in a love story with the workings of the music industry. It could have been really great. But it was just really disappointing.

This is a cute story but a little juvenile at times. I felt like the main female character was a little too unsure of herself at times.
A good romance that will take you to the Nashville music scene.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for access to this eARC.

Where do I even begin except to say that I am in love with this book!! From the very first pages this light-hearted and fun book grabbed my attention and made me smile.
While I figured out the "who done it" early on, that didn't matter one bit because that was only a tiny piece of a much larger story about so much more. It is a story of love, friendship, self-worth, healing, finding yourself and second chances, all wrapped up with moments that will make you laugh and feel warm and happy inside.
Set in Nashville, Love on Tour is the story of Christine, a song plugger who has a chance run in with Austin, an up-and-coming country music star. He recognizes her as the girl who pitched the song that has become his chart-topping hit. The two become fast friends, and as she searches for the next perfect song to pitch him, Austin invites her to join him on tour where she will have all access to him and the band...and the band manager Matt who she is crushing on. As Christine is thrust into the limelight, she is forced to fast her past as well as current threats from a stalker.
This book is a truly wonderful read, It was fast and fun. One I could not put down. I fell head over heels for the different characters who were so well developed that I felt like I was right there on the pages with them. The witty banter had me laughing out loud. While I loved the relationships between Christine and Matt and Christine and Juliana, it was "Chrissy" and Austin that stole the show!
For those that require trigger warnings, there is reference to bullying, sexual assault and rehab but nothing graphic.
This swoon worthy debut novel by author Lee Adams is the perfect summer read and. I can't wait to see what she has in store for readers next!
Thank you to Booksparks for the ARC of this book to read and review. It was the perfect way to kick off the summer!

I was impressed with the author’s behind-the-scenes look at the music industry in Nashville, but that’s about all that I enjoyed about this book. The FMC is a pretty immature 30-year-old, which is supposedly the result of her trauma, but which read like a much younger character. (Definitely “New Adult” rather than a proper adult romance!) It was hard to take her career ambitions seriously as a result, and that’s before we even got to the love triangle of it all.
If you live for celebrity romances or are hugely into country music, you may enjoy this story better than I did. Be prepared to want to smack Christine (not Chrissy!) on the back of the head for her immaturity!
Many thanks to NetGalley and She Writes Press for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!

The story for me was a bit of an underwhelm but her knowledge of the industry was great. I feel like it didn't know for sure if this was supposed to be a romance or not because there honestly wasn't much in it. Thabks for letting me read this book.

it felt like Lee truly knew the characters and industry she was writing about. im learning more and more that the high life world isnt all to pleasant. or does the goods bit ever outweigh the toxic or shady behaviour or darkness that it can also bring. for all ive read im thinking not. very much not. and so much of what our main femaile character was put through really hurt the heart. what is wrong with people. seriously now what is wrong with some human beings?
Christine was a confusion to read. i had to be patient. i had to remember all shed been through. because sometimes i just wanted to say to her "Please, please just talk" but on the other side i could totally see where she was at too.
because there are things going on in her life that make her fantastic. so i also wanted her to be proud of herself and ignore the shamers. but easier said than done right. i also like the support she got from the other to try and bust her up. but shes feeling a little broken our Christine.
but when a broken heel puts her in the line of a music star could this be the buzz she needs, the rweards she needs. because its more than just talent Austin sees in her. and a lovely friendship starts to bloom between them.
but this is also where Christine is pushed into a world that can be bright, bring glamorous times but brings its darkness too.
oh and of course there is Matt. Matt the man that Christine notices a little too much. Matt who just happens to be Austins tour manager.
yep. its all feeling a little complex. but a brilliant tale it was to read.

I chose LOVE ON TOUR because of the blurb I read on NetGalley – comparing a story to Jennifer Weiner’s books is a no-brainer for me. OF COURSE I’m going to request it. That comparison set up expectations that couldn’t be fulfilled.
I believe this is classified as a rom-com but honestly it was more of a new adult story. I really, really wanted to love this story. For me, it was a 3 star read. Christine (not Chrissy) deserves to find her path and to be rewarded for it. What happened instead is that she doesn’t know how to effectively communicate, she allows past hurts to fester and then invites those people to wound her again, her friendships are NOT healthy ANDDDDDDDD she can’t be honest with the guy she really really likes. All very new adult.
Would I recommend this book to someone who is a fan of country music? Absolutely. The behind the scenes look is amazing. Would I recommend this to someone who is a fan of one woman who is interested in two men? Of course! Would I recommend this book to someone who is looking for a light, easy read? INDEED. Again, I think it was the set up and expectations that fogged up my view of the book.
Thank you to NetGalley for an e-arc of this book.

The level of detail for the Nashville/Country music industry feels like it was written by an authority on the subject. That creates a good foundation for a fun whirlwind romance. I am interested in what this author will do next.

While I loved that the author took us behind the scenes of how song plugging works in the music industry that was about the only thing I liked about this book. Which is so sad because the book premise had so much potential to me.
It felt really flat; repetitive use of the same conflict and then the resolution was rushed at the end. The forcing of the love triangle angle didn’t do enough. I felt like Austin’s (and Christine’s) personality flip flopped too much. There’s a lot of details in the book that will date it in just a few years that could have been left out or made generic.

Did I request this book because the title is the same as Harry Styles’ last major tour? Yes. Yes I did. And honestly no regrets.
In reading a different review before starting this book, I saw someone describe this as fan fiction that was not particularly well written. While I agree that it gave me fan fic vibes, but in a good way, a nostalgic way, I disagree that it wasn’t well written. I thought it was average. That sounds so mean to say, but it wasn’t bad writing, but it wasn’t particularly amazing writing either. It was a pretty easy read.
Reading this gave me the feeling that I was back in high school reading Harry Styles/1D fan fic and texting my friends about it. I was never sad or cranky or not actually wanting to read when I was reading this book. But I chalk a lot of that up to the nostalgia. If you weren’t reading fics when you were younger/now, you might not feel the same way. I can understand how others were feeling about this one not reading well/like someone would expect it to.
I enjoyed the story. There were times I was wanting a little more, but overall it was good. I enjoyed the characters and connected with them. Really our FMC is living everyone’s dream. She gets to go on tour with an up and coming artist and is surrounded by hot men? Sign me up. The twist was totally unexpected, I definitely did not see it coming. Which is good! The expected villain was set up so well. I tend to not want to let stories go, and as such usually go for longer books. But I think this one was the perfect length. I didn’t feel like we were missing anything, or like it drug on unnecessarily. I’d give this book a solid 2.75-3 stars. It is a low level spice book/mostly closed door.
I did receive a review copy of Love on Tour, and am leaving this review honestly and voluntarily.

Love on Tour is such a fun, behind-the-scenes romcom set in the country music world. It follows Christine, this super low-key music exec whose quiet life totally flips after she meets rising star Austin Garrett. At first it’s all glitz and glam, but things get deeper fast, with some real themes like bullying, PTSD, and the pressure that comes with fame. I loved the music industry details and the chemistry between Christine and Austin’s tour manager, Matt.. That said, some parts felt a little too fast or unrealistic, and the miscommunication drama dragged a bit. The stalker plot was intense but wrapped up kind of quickly. Still, if you’re into messy celeb vibes, unexpected romance, and a peek at life on tour, this is a cute one to add to your TBR.

This story was not my favorite. It was a really cute premise, but it did not pull me in like I was ultimately hoping it would!

It’s smart, heartfelt, quietly fierce, and full of charm. If you love stories that feel both comforting and brave, this one absolutely delivers.

A fast and fun read. Who hasn’t wanted a behind-the-scenes peek at the music industry? Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced copy.

Christine’s quiet, unremarkable life as a music executive gets turned upside down when a chance encounter with country music star Austin Garrett leads to an invitation that thrusts her into the limelight. But with the fame comes unwanted attention, and soon, Christine finds herself facing online bullies, personal insecurities, and complicated feelings for Austin's tour manager, Matt. Can she find love while navigating the pressures of the spotlight, or will her past and the toxic world of fame tear everything apart?

This was a fun read. Although it seemed light-hearted, it did tackle some more serious topics like sexual assault, bullying, stalking, and PTSD. I loved the connection between the characters; it was a quick read.
