The two-star rating might seem too low as the story was quite interesting, and the writing was good, indeed the writing could have been from the time the story takes place, but there are things I did not really like.
This novel is way too long. A good editing would have made it shorter and better.
I can't believe that followers of Lucifer would have been so open about it as these chapters are known as very secretive. If they had murdered as many as they claimed it wouldn't have gone unnoticed.
Also, Lucifer seems to be more powerful than he really is. I more than doubt that Rosemary could have lived for centuries by his power or Laura's physical changes within minutes.
Furthermore, the novel conveys the impression that (all) psychological illness is caused by demons or very severe trauma and is instantly healed as soon as the patient repents and believes in Jesus. This is a very dangerous message as it condemns all suffering Christians.

gave Wild Forest Rose four ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you Treerise Press, Ken Fulmer and Net Galley for the ARC. These are my honest opinions.
I went back and forth on my rating for this book and it was a lot to unpack. I loved the character arcs and where they ended up after a lot of trauma and turmoil. I love that God was so well enmeshed in this story, too.
The MMC was a mess at the beginning! Talk about a rock and a hard place. The FMC saves him in more than one way.
This book covers so much….medical history and growth, mental illness, spirituality, demon possession, trauma, etc. And, even though it was written well, it was almost too much for one book. I think if it didn’t try to cover so much ground, I would have enjoyed it more.
