A Vision of Lights is the second book in The Elemental Realm duology. It picks up shortly after the events of The Gray Prophecy so I highly recommend reading that first to really get to know the characters and magic system (which I love!). It’s a charming, witchy story about healing and second chances with the added bonus of a slow-burn romance.
This is told through the POV’s of Enzo, Prudence, Cori and Adrian with the main focus being on Enzo and Pru. I loved being back in Farley, Maine with this lovable cast of characters and the found family aspect from book one gets even better here.
Enzo lost so much after the prophecy and is struggling with guilt while adjusting to a life without magic. Pru is a Gray witch and healer determined to prove to her father that’s she’s ready to take on the role of high priestess of their coven. Restoring power to the Charms witches who lost their magic is the perfect opportunity to do so but this means she has to heal Enzo’s soul and he’s the last person she wants to work with. The tension and chemistry between these two was so good! I loved them together. They both had amazing character growth and Enzo’s redemption arc was so satisfying.
Read if you love:
💫Grumpy/Sunshine
💫Celestial and elemental magic
💫Chef MMC
💫Found family
💫Second chances
💫Cozy, Small town setting
While I’m sad it’s over, this was a fantastic ending and I can’t recommend this duology enough if you enjoy urban fantasy full of magic and adventure!

I received this arc not realizing it was the second in the duo-logy. I wanted to give a full honest review so I went ahead and read the first book as well so it kinda put me back. Although it is said it could be read as a standalone, I don’t agree. However I was really impressed by this authors writing and story!
We follow Enzo the brother of Cori almost immediately after the events of the last book. With magic no longer at Enzo’s fingertips, he is ready to settle down with his daughter in a quiet town in Maine. However Prudence needs his help discovering how to save the magic that was once lost as he could be the key. However that might be hard considering Prudence and Enzo don’t exactly get along.
I loved the multiple pov you truly get to see the character growth between each character and how they each proved themselves as strong individuals!

Magic, steamy romance, and who can forget the family drama! This book has everything! I couldn’t put it down!

The story continues in Farley, Maine with Enzo who has lost everything; his daughter, his magic his whole identity is in tatters and then there’s Pru who is on the verge of being announced as her father’s successor and becoming the new high priestess of their coven.
Enzo and Pru share a past journey of hurt and mental scars nobody could imagine but over time they discover how their unique connection can have the potential to help them heal.
As the story develops, we get to discover a deeper connection between the characters and their paranormal romances, troubles and emotional turmoil.
Who knew how the deep the elemental magic system was entwined with the town’s mythology.
I didn’t want their story to end, I need to know more. Lets hope Pru’s story continues in the future…

ARC Review-
“A Vision of Lights” is book two of the Elemental Realm Duology, set again in Farley, Maine, this time following four POV’s, that of Cordelia “Cori” Mangianelli, a prophetic Celestial Witch, Adrian Huxley, an Elemental Witch and Cori’s fiancée, Prudence “Pru” Alden, Cori’s former protector, as well as, the future high priestess of San Francisco, and Enzo Mangianelli, older brother of Cori and Witch who no longer holds magical powers. In this book, Cori is trying to adjust to her new normal of no longer living in huffing, Adrian is keeping a secret that could literally change everything, Enzo is given an opportunity to right the wrongs of his past, and Pru attempts to gain some respect from her coven as she works toward becoming the next high priestess. Together Enzo and Pru will need to work together for a common goal that will benefit all witches, but can they overcome the past? Maria A. Eden does it again, adding intrigue and mystery that will keep you engaged from beginning to end. I’m a sucker for a good enemies to lovers plot, and the heat and slow burn between Enzo and Pru is absolutely palpable. I loved that we saw more of Sophia, Enzo’s daughter in this story as I think she humanizes and softens Enzo’s character. I also loved that we really begin to see Pru’s character blossom and begin growing into her own. The plot and characters that the author has written are so easy to love including the side characters. I would recommend this book and The Elemental Realm Duology to anyone who loves paranormal fantasy with romance.
Thank you to NetGalley and Maria A. Eden for the eARC.

I loved The Gray Prophecy and was so excited to dive right into book two! It picks right up here the first book left off. The tension between Enzo and Prudence had me hooked, and honestly… what’s better than a hot, broody chef? Nothing. The answer is nothing.
The magic in this world is so fun and interesting. I fell in love with the different magic types in the first book and was excited to learn even more about the covens and how the different types of magic work.
Enzo is wrestling with guilt from book one, and Prudence is trying to prove herself to her father and coven. I loved watching them grow, both together and on their own. They’ve been through a lot, and seeing them work through their past and start to heal was really emotional in the best way.
If you liked the first book, you're going to love this one. And if you haven’t started the series yet, what are you waiting for?
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this as an ARC.

A Vision of Lights is the second book in the Elemental Realm series. It can be read on its own but I still recommend reading the first book “The Gray Prophecy” to really immerse yourself in this witchy world. It follows Cori’s (FMC in the first book) older brother Enzo and his journey to fix all the mistakes he made that led him to lose his magic. I really enjoyed following Enzo and Pru’s (love interest) story. If you like modern love and magic with some spice, you’ll like this book!

A Vision of Lights wraps up Maria A. Eden’s Elemental Realm Duology with a story that’s as much about emotional reckonings as it is about magic and prophecy. Having read the first book, I found this conclusion both rewarding and at times uneven.
The novel invests deeply in its characters—Prudence and Enzo especially—delving into trauma, trust, and the weight of legacy. For readers who appreciate character-driven narratives, the book offers moments of genuine emotional depth and insight. The small-town setting is evocatively drawn, providing a grounded backdrop for the story’s supernatural threads.
That said, some pacing issues linger from the first book. The story occasionally feels bogged down by introspective passages and multiple subplots, which can make the momentum waver. The conclusion ties up key arcs, though some resolutions felt a bit rushed or convenient, which might leave those looking for a more nuanced or open-ended finale wanting.
Overall, if you’re invested in Eden’s world and characters, A Vision of Lights delivers a thoughtful and heartfelt ending. It leans heavily into romance and suspense, balanced by moments of serious reflection. Readers coming in fresh might want to start with the first book to fully appreciate the stakes and emotional resonance here.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC!

A Vision of Lights is a captivating return to the elemental magic and intricate relationships that made the first book so compelling. This time, the focus shifts to Enzo Mangianelli—once destined to kill his sister, now a man burdened by loss, guilt, and the haunting remnants of his broken life.
The story seamlessly blends romance, redemption, and self-discovery. Enzo’s journey is raw and heartfelt, as he grapples with the weight of past mistakes while trying to piece together the fragments of his shattered soul. His chemistry with Prudence Alden is undeniable, layered with tension, mutual pain, and an unexpected vulnerability that brings out the best in both characters.
Prudence, determined to prove herself as the next high priestess, finds herself caught between duty and desire. Her struggle to heal Enzo while confronting her own insecurities is beautifully portrayed, making her more than just a supportive figure. She’s fierce, flawed, and deeply human.
What makes this book particularly charming is the way it balances emotional intensity with magical realism. The small town of Farley, Maine, once again feels like a character in itself—mystical, welcoming, but filled with secrets that refuse to stay buried. The romance is steamy without being gratuitous, and the personal growth arcs feel genuine and satisfying.
One aspect that slightly disrupted the immersion was the use of Italian words and phrases throughout the text. As an Italian reader, I appreciated the cultural touch, but some expressions felt off or lacked the intended emotional depth. In a few cases, the phrasing seemed mistranslated or too literal, which pulled me out of the narrative for a moment.
Overall, A Vision of Lights is an enchanting continuation of the series. It’s a story of healing, second chances, and finding hope when everything seems lost. Enzo and Prudence’s journey is one of acceptance and forgiveness, wrapped in a cozy yet intense urban fantasy setting.
If you loved the first book, this one will sweep you back into that familiar yet magical world, reminding you that sometimes fixing what’s broken means rediscovering yourself first.
p.s you could read each book as a standalone, but I strongly suggest you to take your time to read both of the books.

A Vision of Lights is the second book in The Elemental Realm duology. I had the pleasure of reading this series back-to-back, and I am absolutely enchanted!
Here's what you can expect:
❤️ Fated Mates
🌍 Elemental Magic
✨ Celestial Magic
🔥 Slow Burn Romance
💫 Redemption Arc
🗺️ Exciting Quest
👨👩👧👦 Found Family
I had an absolute blast reading A Vision of Lights! This book is a delightful continuation from The Gray Prophecy, and it brought back all the characters I fell in love with. This book takes you on a lighter, though just as crucial, journey with plenty of magic and adventure waiting at every turn!
The pacing was on point, the world-building was nothing short of magical, and the character development was superb. Enzo’s redemption arc had me hooked from start to finish—I just couldn’t wait to see how his story would unfold. And Pru, who charmed me in book one, shines even brighter in A Vision of Lights as the fierce and lovable FMC.
The side characters—especially Jordan, Alfie, and Seth—add so much charm and fun to the story. The Found Family trope is executed wonderfully, bringing together a group of diverse, lovable characters who choose each other through bonds of love and purpose. It’s heartwarming and magical, filled with exciting quests and celestial wonders! This series is a perfect blend of adventure, magic, and heartfelt moments, making it impossible to put down.

A Vision of Lights was such a fun and exciting continuation of The Gray Prophecy. An emotional but beautiful story as everything unwrapped and we saw the characters on a deeper level.
I swear I love Jordan and wish we had more. (For those who read first book, he's Cori's boss/not a spoiler). It was so clever to use him to explain the magic backstory, since he's so fun to have around. Bravo.
It was also fun having more Cori and Adrian. They're so great together.
I think it would be hard to read this without reading The Gray Prophecy. But that's also a good thing because the first one was crazy good.
My heart ached for Enzo and I adored Pru. It was wonderful seeing their stories come together. (And the surprise around 40% in was AMAZING. Gah. Beautiful).
I didn't originally see how Pru and Enzo would make chemistry or how they'd fit as a couple but once they started... oh boy. It was on fire. I just wish it was slower. Their scenes and love seemed so rushed. Like I would have loved MORE. I absolutely loved their arcs and what did bring them together as a couple. It made so much sense as we got to know them on a deeper level.
This story had a lot of lore and ambition. And seriously the entire family of characters made me smile the whole way through.
All in all it was a fantastic read and I'd recommend both books. They're a lot of fun and the worldbuilding is so entertaining and interesting.

ARC provided by NetGalley for a fair and honest review
This was so cute :’) such a good ending for this duology. I really enjoyed this authors take on magic and love. I love the powerful women in her books and the redemption for someone most would consider too far gone. Her characters give a healthy dose of “real world” while the magic is written well enough to transport me into another world. I highly recommend this duology for a quick, easy, lighthearted read.

🌶️: 5 on RCRS (open door but with vague descriptions)
This was a lovely end to the duology with Enzo’s redemption story. The depth of his plight is really explored in A Vision of Lights, and his desperation, self-loathing and abundant regret in his actions are evident on every page. Mirrored is Prudence’s optimism which masks a deeper, more painful past. I thoroughly enjoyed the way these two discovered each other as they worked to heal him in preparation for a spell that could return the lost magic to all witches.
The premise of the story is fairly simple and is set in the real world, making this duology a great fit for those who enjoy contemporary romance and want to dip their toe in fantasy.
Thank you to NetGalley & Eden for the opportunity to read and honestly review A Vision of Lights prior to its release.

Enzo was destined to kill his sister”
After the prophecy came to pass, Enzo lost everything. Magic, Trust, his restaurant, & Family. An opportunity arose for him to make things right but he had to depend on the people who he let down.
Prudence Alden is out to prove that she can take the reins from her real estate tycoon father both professionally and lead the coven even if it means healing Enzo’s soul to do it. The last person she wants to be around.
A great cozy addition to the elemental realm series.

A Vision of Lights is the second book in The Elemental Realm Duology. It can be read as a standalone, but I highly suggest reading The Gray Prophecy beforehand to familiarize yourself with the backstory and all the characters.
In A Vision of Lights, we follow Enzo, who is a Charms witch that had been corrupted by dark magic and tasked with killing his sister Cori because of the prophecy she foretold. When the time came to kill her, Enzo saved her instead. But after it was all over, he had lost most of his magic and refused to use what he had left. After reuniting with his mother and sister, Enzo moves to Farley, Maine, to be closer to them. He also opens a restaurant where he is the head chef. Enzo is divorced and the father of a daughter with Celestial magic that was kept from him due to his use of dark magic. When he saves his sister, he is finally allowed to spend time with his daughter, and she comes to stay with him for the summer.
Prudence is a Gray witch with incredible healing powers. She had been tasked with protecting Cori before the prophecy was fulfilled. During that time, she thought she had finally proven herself to her father, who is the high priest of the Gray witches. She believed that he would finally begin including her and training her to take over as the high priestess. But to her dismay, she found herself in a power struggle with him instead.
When the prophecy occurred, Charm witches were impacted the hardest and lost a great deal of their magic. A plan was formed to use an ancient relic to restore magic to all the witches. Because Enzo had lost almost all of his magic, he was chosen to be the vessel used to channel magic from each type of witch into the relic. But in order to be the vessel, he had to be completely drained of magic. And Prudence was picked for that task. The problem is, Prudence isn't a fan of grumpy Enzo, and Enzo is reluctant to let anyone close.
This small-town paranormal romance is well written with a good plot and lovable characters. Enzo's arc and healing journey was probably my favorite part of the book. To see his relationships with his mother, sister, and daughter grow stronger was enjoyable.
If you love small town vibes, strong family and friend bonds, witches, magic, and a touch of romance, this book is for you.

This book is a witchy paranormal romance book that can be read as a standalone, but personally I found it way more enjoyable to read book 1 as well. I was already in love with most of the characters from book 1 so I enjoyed getting to see my favorite characters again. I was especially relieved to still get chapters focusing on Adrian and Cori even though this book focussed more on Pru and Enzo.
I found the magic system easy to understand while also being captivating. I was also intrigued by the significant differences between the witch types/covens and seeing them come together in book 2. Absolutely loved seeing the new coven in this book, and would love to see more of it.
I was curious as to see if there would be fated mates in this book considering who the MMC is and what had happened in the end of book 1 to him. I was happy to see how everything ended up in the end for everyone.🫶
I felt like this book was a slower speed all around than the first, but I still enjoyed the plot and the characters and was happy to see more of all of the wonderful characters.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book and I am posting this review voluntarily. This book is the second in the series with the first book being The Gray Prophecy. We see the continuation of Enzos story. We watch as he battles what he feels are the demons within. When he meets Prudence his world changes even when he didnt realize it. She is constantly trying to prove herself. To show her worth to her father. The story between Enzo and Prudence is a gradual one but the writer makes you want to be a part of their journey. The writer shows through the story how healing can be obtained if we just open ourselves up to it. The story was a little slow for me in the beginning but I can see that the author was developing the foundation for what was to come. When it picked up it held my attention. I actually ended up reading this quicker than what I expected to.

Oh to read this book! This story is something else! The author is a genious... how can someone create such a beautiful, touching story? Congratulations to the author!!!

This book was such an improvement on the first book (first book was also great!)
It was so beautifully written and immersive and really captured the growth and development of all the characters, I was hooked until the end which I definitely did not cry at……..
5/5

Absolutely loved this! Was such a fun, quick read for me and I adored the character development !!!! Will defo go back and read the first!!
