I'm afraid I really didn't enjoy this latest from Shari. I just couldn't settle into it at all. My thanks to Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

One More Day of Us is the fabulous Shari Low’s latest offering in the One More series.
In 1990, three women met in Hong Kong, performing together in the evenings and forming strong bonds of friendship. Fast forward to 2025, and they realize that 34 years have flown by without a reunion. Moira sends an invitation to Carina and Lisa to meet her at their old hangout in Hong Kong for a long-overdue catch-up. Will they all make it?
I loved the narrative switch between 2025 and 1990, with each woman sharing past insights. This highlighted their enduring friendship despite the years apart. I felt like I was part of their journey, almost like one of their roadies! The vivid descriptions of Hong Kong made me long to be there—absolutely glorious.
Don't miss out—grab your copy soon!

Shari Low’s books are always uplifting, inspiring and entertaining. They are like catching up with old friends, reliving their experiences and learning from them.
One More Day is a beautiful story of friendship, freedom, family and love. It follows the story of Moira, Carina, Lisa and their friendship of over 35 years.
I love how every Shari Low’s book starts- an introduction of the characters. It takes away the guess work for me and allows me delve straight into the plot.
This book was told from the points of view of the three main characters and some others, it alternated between the past and the present.
It celebrates strong female friendships and courage to start over when the plug has been pulled.
Hong Kong was one of the main setting of this book and the author did justice to the sight and sounds of this beautiful territory.
If you love women’s fiction and a heartwarming story about friendship then you should read this.

I recently read the previous book in this long running but slightly disjointed series. I do not use the term in a derogatory manner. It is actually kind of fun to keep jumping times and over people who were at the fringes of a previous plot just to see the world a little differently from their eyes. The only thing I will continue to crib about is the need for everyone to end up with someone when the book ends. In this case, one of those happy endings interfered with the way things were left the last time around ( a pairing that made sense).
This book is a dual timeline narrative with women who are very different on either side of that divide. Age and experience has changed them but we see who and why they were when they were young and in Hong Kong. In the short window they have the women recollect their past and try to make sense of their own decisions.
Although it had its moments, my reaction to the book as a whole is influenced by my other reads by the author. The writing is still on point and I read the book at a stretch and would definitely recommend it to fans of the genre. I liked the story, but it is not my favourite. Others who jump in at this point ( it is something that one can do), will probably better appreciate it than I did.
I received an ARC thanks to Netgalley and the publishers but the review is entirely based on my own reading of this and other books in the series.

If she writes it I'm going to read it! I absolutely adore books by Low and One More Day of Us was no exception.
The story spans thirty-five years and takes us from the sumptuous scenes of Hong Kong at night, to the streets of Glasgow on a dismal sunny day.
Told from multiple POV over a period of seven days, it's a wonderful story of friendships forged and memories made....whether those memories are worth remembering or best buried in the past remains to be seen...
Low writes with warmth and emotion. Her characters are charming, their personalities shine through making them come alive from between the pages so they're no longer just names on a piece of paper.
It's a wonderful uplifting story and was a sheer delight to devour...over one sitting may I add.

I adore this author's books.
When I first saw the title, I though this was part of her 'One Day With You' books, and whilst there a recurring characters from those novels, readers can read them on their own if they wish.
Low's books are a perfect example to new authors in this genre- perfect fast plotting, and wonderful characters you feel every emotion with.
I have yet to read a sub par book, and long may this continue.

One of my favourite authors. Characters that seem like old friends. Experiences you feel you're part of. Back in 1990, Moira, Carina and Lisa were singers in a Hong Kong hotel. Thirty five years later Moira comes up for breath after many years singing on cruise ships, and writes to the other two inviting them to meet her in Hong Kong for the first time since they left. Who will turn up? How have their lives panned out? Fun and a whirlwind of emotions. Shari Low does friendship and compelling characters so well. #netgalley #onemoredayofus

Shari Low always delivers stories that feel personal, warm, and emotionally resonant—and One More Day of Us is no exception. Told in dual timelines, this novel follows three young women in 1990 living their dream as singers in a Hong Kong hotel, and then revisits them in 2025 as they reunite for the first time in thirty years. The then-and-now perspective was beautifully executed, showing how much life, love, and loss can shape people in very different ways.
While I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and their emotional arcs, there were a few moments that felt slightly predictable, which kept this from being a five-star read for me. Still, the themes of friendship, aging, regrets, and resilience were handled with Shari Low’s trademark warmth and depth. Her ability to write relationships that feel genuine is one of the reasons I keep coming back to her books.
This is a story about remembering who you were, accepting who you’ve become, and embracing the people who’ve loved you through it all. Uplifting, bittersweet, and full of heart, this was a lovely read that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

The "One More" collection has become one of my favorites to read! This one is set in a dual timeline going back and forth from 1990 to present day. Three young singers, strangers until they meet in Hong kong, become best friends for life. But it's been 34 years since they've seen one another and Moira decides it's time to issue an invitation before I get together. Can you go back in time? Can you make up for lost time? Can you unravel secrets, solve the mystery, fill in the blanks? And when life throws you a curveball, can you decide what's around the next curve? So good, absolutely loved this one!

I love Shari Low, and was looking forward to reading this book "One more day of us".
I enjoyed the timeline switches throughout the book, and the different view points of the various main characters. It was about friendships and the test of time, and how friends can re connect many years later. I enjoyed reading about the Hong Kong setting.
I recommend this book, it was very enjoyable.

Moira and her two friends, Carina and Lisa, were an absolute team. They slept in the day and performed on the stage each night, and their Hong Kong residency and life seemed perfect, until Moira made a choice that would end everything. Although performing covers from a different band, I was reminded of the trio from Mamma Mia, but that is the only connection.
The book follows the familiar pattern of chapters following each character in turn. It also mingles chapters from the past that fill in some of the blanks generated as the girls reflect on their adventures from a lifetime ago. There is a different dynamic to the trio, but I would hate to reveal a spoiler, so you’ll have to discover that for yourself.
Back in the nineties, I loved all three girls and could see myself being friends with them. Of course, my role would be to buy the drinks and hold the handbags, as I am certainly not a performer. The three were all quite different, but they complemented each other perfectly. I saw Moira as the show's star, with Carina and Lisa as fabulous supports. Part of the glamour of their stage presence was the ability to attract the attention of the opposite sex, but that didn’t necessarily lead to a happy ever after.
Fast-forward to the present day, and we catch up with a now-retired Moira, who has a new focus as the title character in her son's new stage school. If you read One Day and Forever, the story will have added depth. With some free time on her hands, she is determined to recapture some of her memories from Hong Kong and maybe even discover what happened to her first love.
I cannot rave about this book enough. As the story took me back and forth, I laughed and cried, reminding me of the remarkable friendship I share with a trio of former school friends. That friendship was the source of both joy and sadness as I followed their adventures in Hong Kong.
Shari’s descriptions of the various locations added depth that could only have been provided by someone who had visited and loved Hong Kong. The insider knowledge, both then and now, added an authenticity to an already fantastic story.
I loved it, and hope you will too!

Another absolutely fantastic read by Shari Low. I was fully immersed in the story right from the beginning.
The story is told in multiple POV and the timeline switches between the 90’s and to the present day. I really liked the flashback chapters and reading about the lives of the friends back then.
This book was so emotional at times but as with all Shari’s books there is plenty of humorous moments too. I loved Moira, she’s such a great character, so down to earth. I really enjoyed the relationship between the friends too and how they took Stevie under their wing.
I’m already looking forward to Shari’s next book.
Thank you to Rachel’s Random Resources for having me on the tour and to the publisher for my gifted ebook.

One More Day of Us by Shari Low was a beautifully written book from start to finish, it is about Love, the power of friendship and life in general. The author wrote this from her heart and described Hong Kong beautifully - I thought
I was back there for a holiday revisiting places she described. So beautiful, it was just a lovely read and sad in places - it had e thinking of some of my old friends and what they are doing now.
It starts with three young singers who travel to Hong kong in 1990, they are all performing to packed crowds every night in a swanky hotel bar. Twenty-three-year-old Scottish songbird, Moira Chiles is living the dream alongside Carina Lloyd and Lisa Dixon. They work hard, play hard, and always stick together… until one day Moira has to make a choice that changes everything.
Years go by, and in 2025 on a wet Glasgow summer, Moira finally puts her microphone down and has just retired after singing in Glasgow pubs and Caribbean cruise ships for three decades. Now she’s ready for a new adventure and decides to revisit Hong Long for one more time. Moira hasn’t seen Carina or Lisa for over thirty years, but sends a letter/invitation via snail post asking them to join her on a holiday of a lifetime to rekindle the friendships that changed her life so many years ago?
Will this be a stepback in time that will expose secrets that could break all their hearts?
I highly recommend this book.
Big Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for my ARC.

So happy to be doing a Book Blog Tour for Author Shari Low, with Rachel’s Random Resources. Also thanks to Netgalley & Boldwood Books, for allowing me this ARC! As soon as I see that Shari (check me - first name terms 🤣!) has a new book coming out, i genuinely get excited … pressure isn’t off until I either get lucky and get an ARC or pre-order and look forward to it arriving! I’m sure lots of us readers/bloggers are like that.
This gorgeous book was about friendship and it lasting through the years. I how we get to a certain age in life, look back at our younger selves. I’ve been doing that lot lately … reminiscing. I’ve always said …. “ Oh I’m so glad there was no social media back in the day lol !! 😂 “
If you haven’t read anything by this author, I hugely recommend you give her books a browse.

A charming story of reconnection and living life for the here and now.
My favorite part of the book was the setting. Hong Kong is such a vibrant interesting blend of culture and history and it’s been over a decade since I visited but I was able to experience it again through Low’s story.
Th is book is also about second chances: at friendships and also relationships.
Moira gave up on a relationship back then but how about right now.

I love a Shari Low book, she develops characters beautifully and this book was nothing exception.
This was set in Hong Kong where 30 years earlier three aspiring musicians resided. Two of the original trio venture back to where it all started and travel down memory lane unearthing both heartwarming and heartwrenching memories.

Shari low has written another fabulous story, emotional and nostalgic. It has you laughing one minute then crying the next.
Spread over the course of a week this time, One More Day Of Us caught me up in a spell of beautiful memories and it was wonderful seeing Hong King through the women’s eyes.
I loved seeing Moira again, she was always a favourite of mine from the previous book and the reunion after a lifetime away sounded like the perfect week.
Having the story told across the two timelines made it flow quickly and I loved seeing the three of them in the 1990’s.

Moira and her friends Lisa and Carina were all in Hong Kong in the nineties and they all had blossoming musical careers. As time often proves, going separate ways can suddenly put decades between friendships that seemed certain to last forever.
It is present day in 2025 and the women, all who have led separate lives, go back to Hong Kong. Although Moira is hopeful that seeing both Carina and Lisa will heal old wounds, she also hopes that the three of them will have the opportunity for second chances.
One feeling that I got while reading this book is the saying that “you can’t go home again”. Their lives, circumstances, and even personalities have changed. But, this second chance story is truly one that shows the depth of female friendships, and how old wounds can be healed, even through tears and sadness.
I was pleasantly surprised to learn how prolific Shari Low has been as a writer, especially as this is my first novel by her. Her storytelling is masterful, and I am thrilled at the opportunity to finally have had the chance to read one of her books.
Many thanks to Boldwood Books and to NetGalley for this ARC for review. This is my honest opinion.

Following the lives of Moira, Carina and Lisa who have signed up for work in Hong Kong in 1990, will they be happy when they see their digs at the Kowloon guest house? They certainly knew how to burn the candle at both ends, and picked the best music ever to emulate.
When Moira decides to get the girls together again to retrace their past she has no idea of the changes that have occurred in all their lives and the secrets they kept from each other. Some will be a revelation others not so.
I personally found it overly long while still enjoyable. My favourite character was Stevie.

I really enjoyed this book. It explored friendship, love and second chances so well. I loved the powerful female friendships, and the fact that the bond never broke, no matter how much time or distance passed. I loved the dual timelines, and how nostalgic and passionate this read felt.
I really enjoy Shari’s writing. I love her festive reads. She just does an amazing job of transporting you into the book. Highly recommend this!
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the ARC.
