First of all, thanks to NetGalley, Marion De Ré and Victory Editing voor this e-arc.
This Friends to Lovers book was exactly what I hoped it would be. Two best friends, just casually denying their feelings for each other while living together. You're just waiting for the moment that they realize they loved each other for years.
The moment that they finally came together was absolutely the cutest thing ever, and it was very wel written! It only took way to long (because I loved them when they were finally together) and I would have liked it when it happend a little sooner.
Besides that, I'm very curious te read about the other players of the Raptors Hockeyteam (Adler, I'm looking at you darling)!
It's a hockeyromance, friends to lovers, found family, roommates and secret dating all in one book!

Thank you to Net Galley for the ARC!
I will defs be continuing with this series, I love the New York Raptors. She was a real cute hockey romance!! Super quick and light read. I fell in LOVE with the characters - Aaron is a dream man, truly, no one worships a woman like he does.
Was a bit disappointed with the story overall, it took soooo long for them to become lovers although the way they did was AMAZING. They dig out their time capsule from high school at their 10 year reunion???? And in the time capsule he had confessed his love so then she reads the confession??? BRILLIANT.
I just feel like the ending was kinda meh. Like I would’ve loved a third act breakup.

As someone who enjoys a sports romance, I thought this one was a great addition to the current trendy genre. As a librarian I am always being asked for more and more sports romances, particularly hockey, so this will be a great one to add to my list of recommendations.

ARC REVIEW:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Stick to Me by Marion De Ré officially kicks off her clean/ closed door hockey romance series, the New York Raptors. While the professional hockey team was first introduced in her previous books (the One More Chapter Series), this series will focuses solely on hockey. In fact, fans of the Raptors will be delighted to learn that De Ré already has a handful of books in the works. Each book will feature a different member of the professional team (many of which we have already met and fallen in love with).
I applaud De Ré’s decision to kick start the series with Marissa Martin and Aaron Miles. Their journey from friends-to-more is one of the most wholesome love stories I have had the pleasure of reading. It features just about every popular trope; from coach’s daughter, forced proximity, found family, to witty banter. These elements are fan favorites for a reason. If you enjoy this sub-genre, you are guaranteed to enjoy this book!
Standout Moments:
- Surprise Birthday Celebrations
-2 Minute Bookstore Challenge
-High School Reunion
-Time Capsule
-Ideal HEA
-Bonus Epilogue
Special thanks to Netgalley, Victoria Editing, and Marion De Ré for allowing me to read this book in exchange for my honest review.
* Friends-to-more is my all time favorite trope. While I am a a huge sucker for this trope, everything hinges on whether or not the miscommunication element is done properly. De Ré managed to find the perfect balance!
** It should be obvious that I am slightly obsessed with Marissa and Miles. This book was everything I want and more in a clean/ closed door hockey romance. I cannot wait to continue on with this series and fall equally in love with the rest of the Raptors and their women.

Thank you so much to ARC provided by Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for this e-arc.
Aaron and Marissa had a warm, enjoyable relationship. They had such cute chemistry, and I loved how their relationship gradually grew into something more. I thought the primary characters were great. I loved how the hockey team interacted, and it was a lot of fun. I'm excited to read more from this author.

Loved this book! Stick To Me was everything I hoped it would be—wonderful, entertaining, engaging, and downright delightful. Marion De Re crafted a story that was easy to fall into, filled with charm, humor, and heart.
This hockey romance checked all the boxes for me:
• Friends to lovers? Yes, and done so well.
• Coach’s daughter falling for a player? Loved the dynamic!
• Roommates? The tension and sweetness were chef’s kiss.
• Dual POVs? So satisfying to see inside both Marissa and Aaron’s hearts.
• Kissing only, closed-door? Perfectly swoony and sweet.
• And of course, a guaranteed happily ever after that left me smiling.
Marissa and Aaron had such a fun, heartfelt connection. Their chemistry was adorable, and I really enjoyed how their friendship naturally developed into something more. Both characters felt real and relatable, and I couldn’t get enough of their story.
I’m already looking forward to more in this series—these characters feel special, and I can’t wait to spend more time in their world. If you’re looking for a light, romantic hockey read with low angst and lots of charm, Stick To Me is a must-read!

Loved this ARC!! Sports romances and friends-to-lovers are one of my fave tropes and this one was done so well! Only downside - the story felt very rushed!! I can’t wait to read more of Marion’s work!

This was pretty darn cute. I really liked the main characters. I would be interested in ready more by Marion De Re in the future.

This book was soooo cute!! I loved the characters and the setting. A book with hockey, a coffeeshop and a bookshop? Count me in, I'm definitely reading it! The moment that their feelings for each other were revealed, omg I wish I could erase it from my memory and experience it all over again. I highly recommend this book!
The vibes:
- hockey romance
- friends to lovers
- roommates
- closed door
Marion De Ré, I'm excited for your next books.

This was a nice sports romance although too YA for my taste personally. If you like a light, cute, fluffy romance though this one will be for you.

Cute, closed door romance. Marissa and Aaron let fear of losing their friendship keep them from starting a relationship. Both were unaware of the effect the effect they had on each other.

This was just the cutest friends-to-lovers. I was so excited for Aaron and Marissa’s story and loved getting to read about their relationship changing. Stick to Me is the first book in Marion De Re’s New York Raptors. It features characters from the One More Chapter series.
I loved Aaron and Marissa together. They had been friends for such a long time and really understood each other. It was sweet to read about how Marissa’s father took in Aaron and really made him a part of their family. The hockey team was so fun and I loved their interactions. The team was Aaron’s family and he really bonded with the guys.

If you're looking for a sweet friend- to-lovers hockey romance, then this is the book for you. Stick to me is the first book in a new series by Marion De Re and I can't wait for book two.

This was my first by this author and the banter definitely had me hooked! Imagine the most charming guy who you have known for a long time but hes also the top NHL player? Well that's Aaron, and the way he loves Marissa was just so swoon worthy that got me smiling and kicking my feet. What happens when you have two people that have amazing chemistry but have put each other in the forever friend zone? You make them roomates and watch as the story unfolds because of the undeniable chemistry comes to light. While the characters appear in the other books as I have been told, this one is definitely a complete stand-alone to where it can be read without the prior books. I will be adding the previous series to my tbr since I enjoy this one. Definitely check out this one if you enjoy any of the ones below!
What to expect:

💕Friends to lovers
🏒Coach’s daughter

🏒Found Family

Plain and simple, this book is just complete wholesome goodness in the form of an adorable closed door romance novel. I would consider this a perfect YA romance novel without any of the spice but same swoon worthy storyline.
Marissa and Aaron have been best friends since the sixth grade. He’s an NHL player and she’s an owner of an adorable New York coffee shop. They spent the last decade hopelessly in love with each other but always having to hide it. Marissa and her dad are the only family Aaron knows, and his coach just happens to be Marissa’s dad. Too scared to ruin a good thing, neither decide to pursue a relationship outside of that one time Marissa tried to ask Aaron to prom years ago. Silly idea right? They’ve managed to convince themselves they are better off as friends and roommates (talk about tension)! If both of them can get over their fear of actually going for what they want, they may both end up happy at the end of the day. Or they can continue to paralyze themselves with the “what ifs” of their relationship and both be hopelessly miserable and alone. I think we all know what they should choose, but the question remains: do they know what they should choose?
I really did enjoy the quick storyline here. This book had a way of just sucking me out of the real world for a moment in effortless fashion, requiring minimal brainpower, to find myself chasing the love story of Marissa and Aaron. Stick to Me is the first installment of the New York Raptors series, so if the sound of this story intrigues you, never fear! There will be more books coming from Marion. Such a cute read that left me happy and a lot less stressed out with real life. A perfect find for the moment!

The cover drew my attention to the book. I just love covers like that ;)
The story is sweet and entertaining, just perfect for in between.
You just have to love the two protagonists. There's no getting around it. Everything just fits together.
The other characters in the book are also great and round off the story perfectly.
The setting is also well described, so you can really imagine everything.
I give it a clear reading recommendation!!!!!

Stick to Me is the first book in the New York Raptors hockey romance series. This book is a closed door romance but the tension is still there, making a cute lighthearted read.
Marissa is a co-owner of a coffee shop and just so happens to be roommates with one of the best players in the NHL, Aaron Miles, who also happens to be a great cook, super funny and has a six pack?! Safe to say Marissa is living the dream and loving life. As the coach’s daughter, she is off limits to everyone on the New York Raptors team. But Aaron wants her. Badly.
Guys this book was so cute! I was rooting for Marissa and Aaron the whole time and when they got together I was so happy. But what was better? No third act break up!! I am a big believer that not every romance needs a third act break up and that fact alone is what is going to make me read the rest of this series as it comes out!
Tropes for this book include:
Coach’s daughter
Friends to lovers
Roommates
Found family
Witty banter
Thank you to Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for the eARC of this book. I leave this review honestly and voluntarily.

This is such a cozy romantic book! I love hockey romance and this friends to lovers is heartwarming. I’m not use to read book that are all positive and that’s kind of refreshing. I love that the stories is full of trending vibes like the coffee, bookshop and talks about book lovers and tropes. This book is a big green flag and I would recommend it to everyone who’s in need of an happy ending story!

I don’t think I’m the target audience for this one but I do see it being wildly popular among the 11-14 years old range! It’s a cute YA closed-door hockey romance set in NYC along a cute street in Brooklyn. The friends-to-lovers trope is very evident here with our FMC and MMC being childhood best friends but the subthemes of found family and friendship help to really uplift the main romance plot. Although lacking in depth and at times feeling very superficial in terms of both plot and character development, it was a cute and easy read that my 12-year old self would have thoroughly enjoyed!

Walking into the Hockey romance book era, and wow this was the most fantastic one to start with! I was hooked form the first chapter, I loved the sweet love story that the characters shared.
