"The Wedding Forecast" is a cute and entertaining rom-com. The characters are relatable and the story itself funny and heart-warming. An ideal summer read.

Starting this by saying that for me this reads closer to women’s fiction (? not sure if that’s the right term) than strictly romance for me, which is not my usual genre. As such this is a review of two parts, one for objectively thinking about the book for its intended audience and the other for my thoughts as a standard romance reader who went into this with different expectations.
Part one:
This is a story of starting over in your thirties. Its a story about finding yourself. About figuring out what you want in life. About making the hard decisions. About love not being clean or easy. About love not always being enough and about sacrifice.
Anna was every woman who’s felt a little lost in life, whether that be in love, career, or otherwise, and I can see just about every reader connecting with her and her story.
The writing itself was good, with the right level of humour and tastefully written light open door romance.
Part two:
Maybe I’m spoilt by the indie romances I typically read, with their multiple POVs and down bad MMCs, but I want my romance to be deep and all consuming which this didn’t give.
They don’t get together officially until over 90% of the way through the book, and don’t even agree to live in the same continent until the very last page.
Not having Mac’s POV meant not understanding how he was feeling, especially given the long distance, which means that not only did I never connect with him as a love interest, I never truly believed he lived Anna. I had to pause and take a breather on pg 286 because it was 3/4 of the way through the book and that still hadn’t admitted to their feelings and he admitted to sleeping with multiple people since he last saw her?!
It would be one thing if they’d had a discussion and agreed on that they didn’t want long distance, but that didn’t happen and it makes me feel as if Mac genuinely doesn’t care as much as she does as evident in Anna’s surprise and hurt. Hayley, Anna’s best friend summed it up nicely: “You're in a long-distance relationship with him, but is he in one with you?”. The lack of clear communication, and of clear feelings on both sides had me wanting this to end a very different way. And well, the fact I haven’t mentioned Patrick at all until this point says everything. Hr got ghosted twice, and yet still agreed to go out with her 15 months after their first meeting (which was for some reason predicted by a psychic in reference to Anna’s soulmate?).
Conclusion:
So as a romance reader my personal rating would have been 2.5-3 stars, but objectively it’s a really good book if you have the right expectations, hence the 4 star rating.

I was kindly given an ARC for The Wedding Forecast by Nina Kenwood, and I am so thankful I did because I so enjoyed this book! Thank you so much Aria Fiction / Head of Zeus!
With all the hot weather we've recently been experiencing, this was the perfect summer romance holiday read, best enjoyed by the pool with a frozen margarita in hand.
I loved the plot, although the first few chapters were infuriating and I wanted to jump into the book and fix the crown on our girl Anna's head - Joel did not deserve her! And I think she had waaaayyyy more patience than I would have!
However, things got pretty yummy when Mac showed up. I absolutely LOVE a man who yearns and boy he did not disappoint!
The side characters were also well developed and so much fun (I loved the mums!), except for Joel. We hate Joel.
Overall, a light, fun book which I devoured I a couple of days! I'm off to look up more books by this author as this one really hit the mark!

Turns out the wedding Anna was dreading is the best thing that's happened to her in a long long time. Sure she's got to see Joel, who broke up with her after many years of dating but she might have also met her destiny. The photographer is named Patrick and a fortune teller told her that would be the name of her love. Not so fast because there's also Mac, an American actor who quickly captures Anna's heart. Love triangle? Don't go there. While this is a funny rom com, it's also about Anna, finding her legs, and the family she makes. I liked her liked that she's a writer, and I liked the spirit of the whole thing. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. A good read.

This was a fun rom-com. The eternal bridesmaid finds herself at yet another wedding, but this time one of the groomsmen is her ex. Fortunately, she has Mac to distract her. Loved her interactions with him, their banter was such fun. Her dilemma over whether to go with her heart or her head added an extra layer which made sure this was different and entertaining enough to keep you reading.

I absolutely LOVED this book! The Wedding Forecast is a joyful, feel-good romcom that’s perfect for summer, ideal for reading poolside, on the beach, or whenever you need a book hug. I was instantly hooked by the premise of Anna waiting to meet a “Patrick” because of a psychic prediction - and how, sometimes, the heart has its own plans. The dynamic between Anna and Mac gave me actual butterflies! Their chemistry felt so natural and electric, I stayed up way too late just to finish the book.
I have to say, I loved that the book is set in Australia. I’ve only recently started reading Australian authors thanks to NetGalley, and they’ve been an absolute delight, this one especially!
This is definitely a book I’ll come back to whenever I need something uplifting. 10/10 no notes!

I am obsessed with this book. I devoured it. And savoured it. And resented it when I had to put it down.

ARC review
Anna is the bridesmaid at her best friend's wedding and her ex Joel is the best man.
They also have to stay in the same house and he brough his new girlfriend with.
I received an advance review copy from Aria & Aries (via Netgalley).
Opinions from this review are completely my own.
Anna is also a writer. She finished her first book shortly before the break up and is now writing the second one.
At the wedding she tries to distract herself with Patrick, the photographer, but is also attracted to Mac, a friend of the groom that is an actor.
The book has a love triangle and Anna must decide between the sweet, easy relationship with Patrick, or a long distance one with Mac.
The book has funny moments, cute and romantic parts, but also made me feel emotional.
The characters are interesting and I liked the family dynamics.
The story is told from Anna's POV, which was appropriate in this case, as we are following her development as an author and her love life post break-up.
She is a relatable character as woman in her thirties, trying to put her life together.
This book made me empathize with the characters and keep me engaged in the story.
The road to the happy end was not easy, but it never is in real life also.

Anna's best friend is getting married and she is a bridesmaid but her ex is best man and is bringing his new partner and they are all staying in the same house.
She is determined to get through the weekend but then receives a bombshell.
A physic has predicted she will meet and fall in love with someone called Patrick and the photographer is called Patrick ........

Nina Kenwood's The Wedding Forecast was absolutely delightful. The Bridget Jones parallels are apparent throughout, and Kenwood weaves in the cutest details from New York's beloved Trader Joe's snacks to forgiveness muffins and more. Nothing is better than a cute, funny love triangle and charming, overprotective mothers/roommates/best friends. There were a few moments where Anna's hopelessness (or as she/Mac puts it: "pathetic") vibes were a bit of a lull in the story, but were ultimately necessary for the conclusion of the novel (keeping that vague, because no spoilers). Come for the witty banter, stay for the fabulous date ideas and bookstore ambience.

This book was a nice surprise. It feels light and fun most of the time, but also brings a few emotional moments that made it feel real. I liked Anna a lot, she’s funny, and very honest with herself. I really enjoyed the side characters too. The moms were great, they made me laugh and reminded me of how well meaning but chaotic family can be. Mac was very charming, and the way his connection with Anna developed was sweet and believable. The writing is very easy to follow. I really liked it.
Thank you so much to the author and Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read the book in advance, I received this for free and I'm leaving a honest review

Anna is getting over the end of an 8 year relationship and is about to spend the weekend at her best friend's wedding. The catch is that her ex and his new girlfriend will be there.
Her mum and the mum of her best friend have been told by a psychic that the love of her life is called Patrick and she will meet him within 6 months so time is running out for this prediction. The wedding photographer is called Patrick so they are keen to see if he is the one.
Mac, an actor, is the best friend of mine groom and comes back from the USA to attend the wedding.
A fun story of the following year and the ups and downs of Anna's life.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for the ARC.

Thanks netgalley for the arc! This was my first book I’d read by Nina Kenwood and it was so cute i really enjoyed reading it.
At first all the different names was a bit confusing for me. But besides that the story is cute, funnny and i liked it that the FMC was a writer.

This was the first book I’d read by Nina Kenwood and I throughly enjoyed it. It’s a rom-com set in Australia, where Anna has to attend the wedding of her best friend, with her ex Joel present and his new girlfriend. This book was funny, awkward and cute all in one. I really enjoyed how the FMC was a writer and an avid reader cause when is the reader ever a main character! I enjoyed the romance and the tension between Anna and Mac.
Thank you to NetGalley for the digital copy. This is my honest review.

Primera toma de contacto con la autora y primera alegría, entretenido y gracioso desde el principio, deseando leer más de la autora

An enjoyable and well written light romance, with some unusual features. It is not easy for her to attend her friends’, Luke and Hayley’s, wedding, as her ex, Joel will be staying in the same house with his new partner, Bianca. To make matters worse, Joel has some news that shocks her to the core, reawakening the pain of their breakup. When “the mums” arrive with a “forecast” that Anna’s new love interest will be called Patrick, it’s inevitable that her attention is drawn to the wedding photographer of that name. Yet destiny throws a fly in the ointment with her unexpected attraction to another wedding guest, Mac. This relationship, however, has no future as they live on different continents. Although Anna hopes that her heart will step in line with her reason, love is not like that. The characters are well drawn and believable, with no total villains nor heroes, just very human people trying their best. The “mums” add an element of humour, which daughters with “concerned” mothers will recognise. I enjoyed the strong bonds of friendships portrayed. Definitely recommended.

First of all thank you for approving my request!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! The authors writing style had me hooked throughout this book.
I didn't want it to end, a book I really couldn't put down.

This story is about Anna, she is the bridesmaid at her best friend’s wedding! Problem is her Ex Joel who she dated for 8 years is the groomsman. She lives in her best friends spare room, she’s content, until Joel brings his new girlfriend Bianca and drops a bombshell that shocks Anna. Fate has given her a name, Patrick. He seems nice and safe- everyone likes him! That is until Mac, the almost-famous-not-really actor has flown in from New York.
I loved this book! The characters were interesting and I laughed a lot! I love their chemistry but a lot of the time I felt that Anna’s family and family friends and best friends were overstepping some boundaries, that’s what family is! Anna is a strong FMC and her morals are good! Mac is a strong MMC although at times he was downright pathetic… (who doesn’t want that in a man?)
Thank you to Net Galley and Nina Kenwood for sending me an ARC copy of this book 🫶

Series: STANDALONE

Just the rom-com pick me up I needed! This read was heartwarming, funny and just overall really enjoyable! I love both main characters aswell as side characters of friends and family!

The Wedding Forecast by Nina Kenwood presents a delightful premise: Anna, recently single and still reeling, unexpectedly bumps into her ex-boyfriend, who is now expecting a child with someone else. This setup promises a mix of humor, romance, and self-discovery, and for the most part, delivers. Anna is witty, self-deprecating, and relatable. H er journey from an awkward wedding weekend to a transformative trip to New York offers a heartfelt exploration of what it means to start over.
The writing is engaging, and Kenwood’s strength lies in her ability to explore emotional nuance with lightness and charm. However, the introduction of a large supporting cast, while adding dimension, occasionally felt distracting. At times, I found it difficult to stay connected to the central arc due to the number of characters competing for page time.
The Wedding Forecast is a charming read. It offers a fresh perspective on second chances and the complexity of modern relationships. While it may not fully resonate with readers looking for a fast-paced romance, fans of thoughtful, slice-of-life romantic comedies will likely enjoy this story’s wit, warmth, and emotional honesty.
