Welcome to West Street was a quick read that kept me up late wanting to know what happened. Amanda moves along with her children, Jordan and Keira, to a quiet neighborhood of close knit friends. However, Amanda harbors secrets and so do her new neighbors. Knowing who to trust is the question. I really enjoy books where chapters are written from different points of view. Each chapter provides another crack in what you think to be true. I loved the ending which included a couple jaw-droppers and I felt it wrapped everything up nicely. Thanks to Nicole Trope for another twisty read! Thank you also to NetGalley and Bookouture for the chance to read this ARC.

Yet another winning storyline from this author. When Amanda flees with her two children away from her husband to a house that she has rented she thinks everything will work out all right for them. Her husband won't discover that she has left him as he is out of the country with his business. All she wanted was to live a normal quiet life again. That was until she met her few neighbours and she will soon wish they had left her alone.
Brilliant from start to finish. Can't' wait for the next book to read.

Amanda and her children move to a new neighborhood. She has new neighbours that she knows nothing about. Why did this seemingly well dressed woman move into a house that will be torn down soon! Such a great story. It is emotional, gripping and will have you reading nonstop! I loved everything!

Thanks to #NetGalley and #Bookouture for the book #WelcomeToWestStreet by #NicoleTrope. Amanda has just started over with her two children and has moved into a small house in West Street. Her neighbors are a little strange and seem to be in her business. But all is not what it seems. The neighbors have secrets but so does Amanda. Can they all live happily ever after?

Another excellent addictive read from author Nicole Trope, she really does know how to write a story and keep her readers engaged.

It was an interesting storyline for sure, makes you realise that you really can’t trust your neighbours especially if you live on West Street. The neighbours in question are quite a mixed bag in terms of personality and ages, all f whom seem quite normal, if a bit nosey, until you really get to know them.

I did find myself turning the pages pretty quickly so as to find out what was going to happen next and how things would play out. There were a couple of twists and shocking revelations throughout, all of which makes for a brilliant story.

So if you like psychological thrillers, the do give this book a go.

If you mix a retirement village with the Real Housewives you get the characters in this book.. they all live in a like cul de sac in the burns and spend their day watching their neighbors and getting into predicaments .

Loved everything about this book. The storyline was fresh and kept me on my toes. Didn't predict the ending. Can't wait to read more by the author.

Welcome to West Street is definitely giving Desperate Housewives vibes but for senior living. I love stories with older people in them. These ladies live on a cul de sac where they have nothing to do but watch. This story is told from multiple POV so you get to know them all a little bit. All single women whose husbands have passed on in a somewhat suspicious manner. It’s only suiting that the woman running from an abusive husband ends up here. This book gave me lots of personalities to deal with. I can’t say I found any of them likable, which, doesn’t bother me a bit. I found myself saying, what are these old ladies up to now?! I thought it was ok. I predicted what happened pretty early. It didn’t grab me like some of Nicole’s other books and I didn’t love the title. But as always, I will keep on reading her books.

Nicole Trope's Welcome to West Street audiobook immediately establishes a sense of simmering unease beneath the veneer of suburban neighborliness. The opening, with Caroline's seemingly welcoming gesture masking a deep-seated need to know everything, sets a tone of subtle suspicion that permeates the entire narrative.

The audiobook format effectively brings to life the contrasting perspectives of Caroline, the nosy and observant long-time resident, and Amanda, the newcomer harboring secrets and desperately seeking anonymity. The narration allows the listener to feel Caroline's watchful gaze and Amanda's underlying anxiety as she tries to build a new life while fearing her past catching up.

Trope masterfully crafts a slow-burn tension, hinting at the dark undercurrents beneath the seemingly ordinary lives on West Street. Amanda's guarded behavior and Caroline's relentless curiosity create a compelling dynamic, leaving the listener constantly questioning who can be trusted and what secrets lie hidden behind closed doors. The ominous foreshadowing of someone going missing, someone in handcuffs, and someone dying hangs heavy in the air, creating a palpable sense of dread.

Welcome to West Street is a character-driven psychological thriller that explores the complexities of suburban life and the devastating consequences of hidden truths. Trope delivers a captivating and suspenseful listen that will keep you guessing about the secrets of the new family and the long-time residents, and the tragic events that are destined to unfold on this seemingly ordinary street.

Welcome to West Street by Nicole Trope is a very twisty book which kept me interested all the way through. A clever story full to the brim with twists and turns so much so I didn't want to finish it.
The twists that this book keeps taking defiantly left me on my toes and wanting to know what was going to happen next. At one point I thought I had it all figured out and then the rug was pulled out from under me.

Every small town has its share of nosey neighbors, who all have secrets, and the residents of West Street are no exception. Trope's latest is a fast-paced story that will pull readers in with the ample suspense and leave them quickly turning the pages. Complex characters are easy to root for, as well as dislike. If you're a fan of domestic thrillers filled with unexpected twists and turns, this is one to check out! The author hooks readers from the start, and the ending may just come as a bit of a surprise.

"Welcome to West Street" is a book about abuse, betrayal and murder.. Amanda escapes her abusive marriage while Mike is away in China. She takes her 2 kids with her to move to this lovely cul de sac in West Street. But all is not as it seems, and the people are not who they appear to be...
I gave the book 4 stars because the book is well written, enticing and a real page turner with an explosive ending you won't see coming. However it did seem to drag on in the middle until something happened so that's why I deducted a star!

Amanda moves to West Street where she lives in constant fear that her abusive husband, Mike, will find her and their two children. She hopes to keep their whereabouts a secret until divorce papers and a restraining order are in place. Amanda tries to keep her distance from her neighbors on West Street, but they seem determined to get to know her and learn her story. Amanda regrets spilling her story to Caroline who she is sure has told all the other neighbors. When Amanda's son disappears, she makes a desperate return to the old family home, after which Mike turns up dead, and Amanda may face arrest.

This story had a lot of twists and turns, most of them improbably or completely unbelievable. I did not find any of the characters particularly likeable and was a bit disappointed in the end.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

"Welcome! I hope you'll be happy here," I say, standing on the doostep and holding out a freshly baked cake. Amanda smiles but it doesn't reach her eyes. The new arrivals to West Street clearly have secrets. But that's ok. Because so do I ...

Caroline twitches aside her curtains to see the new family moving in. A mother - beautifully dressed in expensive clothes - and two young children. Where is her husband, she wonders? But Caroline believes it's important to be welcoming. It;'s important to know everything that's happening in West Street.

Amanda unpacks another box and breathes a shaky sigh. Her son is refusing to speak. Her daughter misses her friends. But we're safe Amanda tells herself. West Street is peaceful. Anonymous. Nobody knows who she is.... do they?

Amanda and her two children move into a house that needs some TLC. Her husband, Mike, is not happy that she's left him and that's making things difficult for her. West Street is a tight-knit neighbourhood, but there are lots of secrets being kept.

It did take me a few chapters to get into this book. The characters were typical nosey neighbours, the pace was fast in this twisted read. Amanda's son got on my nerves. I felt the ending was far-fetched.

Thanks NetGalley for the ARC of Welcome to West Street by Nicole Trope, published by Bookouture

Well, there was some drama and backstabbing in this novel, it was excellent. Easy to get into and didn't want to put it down. Loved (or hated) the characters, they were well described, I liked how they interacted with each other. The setting was great. I liked the journey the author took us on, story was told primarily by 2 of the main characters. I was surprised by who they actually were and what they had done as the story progressed. It was a fun read. Amanda's son was atrocious, and I'm sure most readers wanted to do some major discipline.
I've read several books by Nicole Trope and will continue to pick up her books. This is well worth the read.

She had me hooked from the VERY beginning. I knew I had to know what was going to happen next. The plot was so well written that I felt like I was watching it on a movie screen. And let me tell you about these twists and turns. There were so many times my jaw was to the floor through this book. I HIGHLY recommend checking this book out when it releases on 4/22. You will NOT be disappointed!
