This book is a really basic introduction to self-care and didn’t really include anything we haven’t all been reading about for years at this point. (Apart from one thing - vabbing. I loved that they included that and their descriptions of trying it made me laugh.)
It’s written in a charming and accessible way and I loved the dynamic between the two authors, so if you are entirely new to self-care, this is a great place to start. But it wasn’t much use to me, unfortunately.

This book feels like getting advice from your funny, wellness-curious friends—some of it you’ll love, some of it you’ll politely nod at and ignore. It's a breezy and fun book, and the personal stories make even the weirder self-care experiments approachable. Not every tip is groundbreaking, but there’s enough charm to make flipping through it a little treat. A good pick for going in and out when you need a little boost.

I haven’t listened to the podcast - I am more of a reader - so I came to this anew. I love the dynamic between the two and I enjoyed there anecdotes and interactions. The suggestions are not rocket science. But that’s the thing about wellness. It doesn’t have to be the million pounds industry it has become. Reading this book made me smile outwardly and inwardly which I take as a win. Thanks to NetGalley for the advance copy.
