The main storyline is cute and reminds me of Hallmark movies. Girl goes away for a while, meets an eye-candy whilst there. Romance blossoms. The storyline is a bit predictable but I suspect that my teenage students might just like this. I am a bit too old for this. The characters talk in a more mature way than their supposed age though.

Ahhhhh, what a wholesome read! Perfect summer comfort book. It reminded me of Stardew Valley and Amphibia (both of which I adore). I'm in love.
Some things were predictable, but it didn't make the story any less interesting. There were some parts that were pretty corny, but the overall message was so uplifting and positive that I don't care. I was grinning so wildly. It was so nice to read about a community that supports each other so much. Plus, I've just finished my bachelor's degree and need to choose what to do for master's, so the themes of not stressing over the future so much hit really close to home.
I love books that take place in Cornwall and the author made the most of this setting! The descriptions were beautiful, I really felt the small seaside town vibe. At the begging of the book I found myself opening google street view and trying to guess in which coastal town the book could be taking placa haha
One of the aspect I didn't like as much was the he romance plot. It felt a little bit forced. It was a slow burn, but I didn't really sense any chemistry between Anna and Jacob. I would have been fine with them not getting together at the end. I think I would actually prefer it lol They are so different! They have differnt plans for their lives! I can't really see how they can make it work. What can I say, I'm a realist. The book would have been just as good without the romance.
Overall, I really enjoyed it and can't recommend it enough!

Such a sweet lil read!
Anna’s plans had been turned completely upside down after her boyfriend broke up with her and her she thought she tanked her final exams which put her uni admission in jeopardy. But you know what solves all ills? A trip to the seaside. Her mum knew that sun, sand and surf would be a cure-all and sending Anna off to work with her aunt Josie for the summer would do her a world of good.
Spending time in Fox Bay really opened Anna up to the world, she let her hair down, got to know and love the townspeople and discovered that things she once held with great importance might not be her first priority anymore. Her project to save the bookstore really motivated her and she was able to use her organisational skills whilst regaining a sense of passion. Impressive that she organised all of it (with the help of friends and neighbours of course).
The setting was truly spectacular to read about, very magical coastal UK! And I loved Anna’s relationship with Josie, her budding friendship with Raye and her connection with Jacob.
Truly the perfect YA summery book to get lost in. And Gracie is writing a follow up which I am so keen to read!
Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and author for this warm hug of an ARC.

This is the summer romance you need to read.
Wholesome.
Swoon worthy.
I loved every bit of it.
The fact that we have a bookshop involved too is an added bonus.
Filled with charming, quirky characters.
What the author gives us is a sweet and gentle tale that is filled with an abundance of heart.
The Wildest Dreams Bookshop is a YA novel that is designed to warm your heart.

Anna has just finished taking her A-Level exams. Dumped by boyfriend Max and sure she's failed her exams, her aunt invites her to spend the summer working in her bookshop. Following an accident, Anna finds herself in charge, and after going through the accounts she realises the shop financially is close to closure. Does she have what it takes to save the shop? An engaging summer read, sure to be a hit with years 9 and above.

This is just the sweetest summer coming of age love story, filled with charming characters and descriptions of gorgeous scenery and it’s set in a bookshop! Loved the book references sprinkled in and the understanding of our world, the world where authors are the real celebrities and books are front and centre. I loved the main protagonists growth throughout the story and the very gentleness of this heartwarming, bookish tale.

What a lovely cosy and inspiring read! I really enjoyed the whole vibe of the book, even though I kind of knew where it was going, but it was so charming and drew me in just when I needed this type of read. It’s the perfect young adult/teen book I can definitely see it being popular with my secondary age students✨ Thank you Gracie and Harper Collins for giving me access to the eARC ✨

Thank you so much to the author, the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC.
This was such a fun cute read. I read it at home but it's great for a beach weekend.
It had a slow start but when the story started picking up with Anna going to Cornwall and helping her aunt with the bookshop, I started loving it. It was an easy read with very well descriptions which helped visualise the story and slow burn romance... I love slow burn. That was the cherry on top of this adorable summer read.
This was such a fun time!

“Sometimes life doesn't follow a script. How's that for a Hallmark line?”
The Wildest Dreams Bookshop was a super cute YA read. It was just as sweet as a Christmas movie (but with a summer setting), perfect if you need your dose of escapism. Anna has to spend the summer in a small town as all her future –internship, love story and uni– are falling apart. As her lifestyle has to change, she has to learn to adapt and bend, facing new responsibilities, discovering new passions.
I loved the small town ambiance, all gossip and solidarity, the whole community helping Anna saving her aunt’s bookshop. In that sense, that light, short and super easy to read romcom felt a coming of age story, a cute romance and Christmas in July, all at once. In one word, the perfect beach read for the summer.
Thank you to the author and HarperCollins UK, Children's | Harper Fire for the eARC on NetGalley. My opinions are my own.

A cute story but definitely on the YA side. I loved the beach town setting and the small close community vibes. Will make a great summer read for teenage readers.

This was such a great read. It was fun, it was full of books and sun and sea and a community of people you’d love to have around you in a crisis. With an ending like something out of Gilmore Girls, it’s perfect to get your heart swooning this summer.
I loved the small town charm in this book. I feel like small communities work well for romances like this because it give us a nice set of characters to get to know. Though I’d probably find a town like this too quiet in real life, I really love books that put me right in the heart of them.
I liked the romance between the two main characters. It was good to see them growing towards each other without the pressure to get it on that adult literature often has. They had time to have a slow burn relationship. I think that’s the advantage that YA has in this respect.
I’d absolutely love a spin off with Raye and Sky, but I think that’s probably too much to hope for. Still I’d love to return to Fox Bay for more adventures.

First of all thank you for approving my request!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! The authors writing style had me hooked throughout this book.
I didn't want it to end, a book I really couldn't put down.

This was a super fun, cute, slow-burn romance. The Wildest Dreams Bookshop is a must-read this summer. Anna's plans have all fallen through and her boyfriend has also just left her so her aunt invited her to come and help in her bookshop. We get to see Anna's self-discovery journey, making new friends, helping her aunt with a failing bookshop and a fabulous slow-burn romance that is to to die.

Anna has always been a girl who knows what she wants and works hard to get it. (She reminds me a lot of teenage me) She is forced into pressing pause on what she thinks she wants (an internship, the next step to forever with her boyfriend, and her studies for a prestigious degree) to spend the summer in a sleepy village, working at a charming but dilapidated bookshop. Unsurprisingly she ends up re-evaluating her priorities, with the help of a delightful supporting cast, and the village "bad boy". However what I really liked about this is that Anna doesn't change too wildly. She's not suddenly a manic pixie dream girl, and is still the driven and organised girl that she is at the start - just in a way that's more true to herself. And I really rate that.
I think this would be the perfect holiday read for teens to enjoy by the sea.

Sometimes you need a book that wraps around you like a warm summer breeze, and this one does exactly that. If you're someone who color-codes your calendar and has backup plans for your backup plans (guilty!), you'll see yourself in Anna immediately. I found myself cringing in recognition at her need to have everything mapped out perfectly.
What I loved most was watching Anna's walls come down during her time in Fox Bay. There's something magical about how travel can strip away the versions of ourselves we think we need to be. The friendships she builds with Raye and Jacob felt genuine and unforced, and I adored the cozy bookshop setting with Aunt Josie.
Fair warning - this is slow-burn in the truest sense. The pacing takes its time, especially early on, but that's exactly what makes it feel so authentic. It's the kind of book that would be perfect with sand between your toes and the sound of waves in the background. I kept picturing the Cornish coastline while reading, which only added to the dreamy atmosphere.
If you're looking for your next summer escape read, this one delivers all the gentle transformation and seaside charm you could want.

As someone who has enjoyed reading Lynn painter and Jenny books, I decided to give this one a chance. Sadly, i was left disappointed and underwhelmed.
The surfing lesson was the best part, other then that I don't think I was the target audience...
Thanks Netgalley and the author for the😆📸🎀

This was a sweet story that I really enjoyed reading. I would have absolutely adores this as a teen. A perfect YA read.

I am incredibly grateful to both NetGalley and HarperCollins UK, Children's for the opportunity to read and review The Wildest Dreams Bookshop. Being selected to explore this captivating story before its official release has been such a treat, and I can’t wait to share my thoughts on it with all of you. A huge thank you to the teams at NetGalley and HarperCollins UK, Children's for their generosity and for making this advanced reading experience possible.
The Wildest Dreams Bookshop is so very cute. It's light and it's cosy. It's just such a lovely easy read.
Books like this are hard to come by, most of the books that have a similar sort of vibe are far too predictable or resemble a Hallmark Christmas film. This one is perfect.
I read a lot of complex and hard hitting books and more often that not, I just need something cute and cosy afterwards and this book absolutely hit that spot.
If you like cosy and sweet books, I really think you'd like this. I am definitely going to be keeping an eye out to see what Gracie Page has for us in the future, it's looking like a second book will be coming at some point and it seems to be a winter themed one which is exciting!
I really enjoyed this book. It's simple and sometimes that's exactly what you need.
One thing I love more than books and reading is reading books about books! Anything with book shops or libraries, sign me up!

This one took me a minute to get into as I wasn’t connecting to the stories or characters. However I’m glad I stuck with it because it was absolutely precious in the end

This was a really cute and nice storyline. At the beginning I was not connecting to it but I am glad that I stayed till the end
